YG Entertainment's idol groups Big Bang and 2NE1 will be on MBC's music program Music Core.

Their future appearance on the show is attracting attention because until now, MBC and YG have not been on particularly good terms.

[News] Gagmen recreate 2PM's Heartbeat

Beastly idols 2PM on MBC's ?!

On the recording to air on the 10th at MBC's , Lee Jaehyung, Oh Jungtae, Son Heonsu, Kim Kyungjin and other gagmen transformed into 2PM for a surprise 'Heartbeat' parody performance.

WIth 2PM's powerful zombie and dance singing, they received a round of applause from the audience. They wore 2PM's personal outfits along with the smokey makeup look, recreating 2PM's exact image, although a bit lacking compared to the original, making the production team fall in laughter.

Kim Kyungjin, having transformed into Taecyeon, made the audience laugh with his heart performance. Particularly Oh Jungtae, taking over the role of 2PM's flower boy Nichkhun, made the audience and fellow actors alike yell in protest.

[News] Kyuhyun sings for MBC’s drama OST

There havent been official new yet but since the music composer of the drama has posted a picture of him and Kyuhyun in the SM studio so I decided to translate this, will edit this thread once the official news is out.

Kyuhyun has recorded a song for MBC’s drama OST, the title of the song is “듣다… 그대를” (Listen… to you). You can listen a small part of the songhere, since there hasnt been official news yet so we dont know when will the full song is out. According to the entry & picture from Lee Seonghwan’s cyworld & me2day, the music composer of the drama, Kyuhyun had recorded the song in December 22nd. [News] Yoo JaeSeok awarded the variety Daesang during MBC Variety Awards

‘Infinite Challenge’ has been awarded the best variety show for the 4th year on MBC Variety Awards.

MBC Variety Awards took place on 29th December in MBC broadcast centre. This is the 4th consecutive year the show has been awarded the best variety show on the award ceremony after it was first chosen by netizens as the best program in 2006.

And as for the variety DaeSang, the award goes to MC Yoo JaeSeok. Yoo JaeSeok has received acknowledge for his appearance on MBC ‘Come To Play’ and ‘Infinite Challenge’. This is Yoo JaeSeok’s 5th DaeSang received.

[Pictures] MBC Pasta’s official posters released

Following the release of some preliminary promo shots, MBC’s Pasta has released its first official posters, featuring (in the order above) Gong Hyo-jin, Lee Seon-kyun, Honey Lee, and Alex.

Not much more info about the plot has been given, however, other than the general description of their work at an Italian restaurant and the contentious initial relationship between Gong Hyo-jin and Lee Seon-kyun. (Despite that, I think they look pretty cute together.) We’ll have to wait until January to find out more; Pasta takes over the timeslot from Queen Seon-deok, which ended this week.

MBC “God of Cookery Expedition” will aired its 100th episode soon!

The program did the special episode recording on November 30 and it is revealed that the program will present a special show to commemorate their 100th episode achievement whilst the MCs Jeong JunHa, HyunYoung, Kim ShinYeong will also show their new ways in giving the food information.

[News] Kim Hyun Joong and Jung YoungHwa are the MCs to new corner on MBC ‘Sunday Night’

SS501 Kim Hyun Joong and newcomer talent Jung YoungHwa have been chosen as the new MCs for MBC ‘Sunday Night’.

Kim PD said during a press conference on 23rd November, “Kim HyunJoong and Jung YoungHwa will be for the new corner on ‘Sunday Night’ called ‘Korea Ecosystem Rescue Centre, Hunters’ to be aired on 6th December.”

This will be a corner where celebrity MCs will go out to capture wild boars. The PD added, “Even right now, the MCs are working hard with the qualified professionals capturing the wilde boars in KyeongSan IlRyeong. Every week, the 7 MCs will get training for about 2D1N and go out to hunt for the wild boars. This week it will be IlRyeong, and next week it will be in AhnDong.”

The PD added, “There are about 170 thousand wild boars in our country, the population has increased 4x than before. If the government do not do something to control the population, it can pose as harm to the ecosystem in our country. We want to bring awareness about the ecosystem in our country and also bring down the population of wild boars through this show. The captured wild boars will either be given to nursing homes or given to the less fortunate to be eaten.”

The other MCs on the show are Hwang JungEum, Jung GaEun, Han JiMin and Han HyoJoo etc.

[News] KBS, MBC and SBS will not give out awards to singer for their year-end music festivals this year

The 3 major broadcast companies in Korea – MBC SBS KBS – will not have any award ceremony for their year-end music festivals.

MBC said on 23rd November, “This year alike, we will not be giving out awards for our year-end music festivals to the singers.” MBC started having their ‘Teens Singer Music Festivals’ which they will give out awards every year. But from 2006, they decided to do away with the awards and named it as ‘MBC Music Festival’, and have singers showcase various performances during the event.


This goes the same for KBS, they will not be giving out awards to singers this year. A KBS rep said, “Like the past 3 years, we will not be giving out awards for our year-end music festivals. The event, to take place in December, will be prepared as a special broadcast programme.”

KBS started with the annual ‘KBC Music Awards’ from 1984, but starting from 2005, they did away with it and came up with ‘KBS Music Festival’ instead which does not give out any awards.

And SBS is the last of the 3 companies do with away with the awards. This year, SBS will not be giving out awards for its year-end music festival.

A SBS rep said, “We will not be giving out any special awards to the singers this year. It will be made into a special program in the form of a festival this year.” SBS has been carrying out their annual ‘SBS Gayo DaeJun’ from 1991 till 2007 where they would give out awards to singers.

But they stopped giving out awards from 2008.

With that, this will be the 4th year where MBC, KBS and SBS will not give out awards during year-end music festivals. They will be just music festivals where singers can meet with fans and TV viewers putting up various performances.

The MBC 'Infinity Challenge' production staff are looking for ways to send Jaebum, who has participated in the rice farming project', rice.

The staff revealed recently to Star news that, "We are considering plans to send rice to the members who worked hard in the rice farming project."

When asked, "Do you have intentions to send some to Jaebum, who's currently residing in Seattle?" they showed a positive stance and replied, "We are currently discussing that. First I would like to say that I am extremely happy to be able to send my message to all of our Cassiopeia, and I am very thankful! It’s nice to meet you~

At MBC Everyone, we are creating a program dubbed ‘Star Documentary” that tells of the hidden stories of the stars dating from their childhood all the way up to right before their debuts, and we would like to include a DBSK episode.
Since we cannot leave Cassiopeia out of the process of making a documentary about DBSK, we are contacting you because we wanted to talk about this with Cassiopeia.

In the 30 minute documentary, we will be including interviews from fans and close friends who watched the members mature from childhood until their debut. We hope to tell the touching yet almost unknown story of how DBSK became Asia’s top artiste. We would like to include their stunning musicality that has been ignored due to their ‘idol’ status, their overseas activities, and each member’s efforts, passion, sweat and tears to achieve his dream of becoming a singer.

This is why it would be impossible for us to continue without the help of Cassiopeia, and because this program was designed to show our love and affection for DBSK, we believe that this documentary should be made through the views and voices of Cassiopeia.
