[Interview] MBLAQ, “Under Rain, we do dance practice for up to 14 hours a day”
Super rookie MBLAQ has been a hot topic as soon as they debuted.
They are a 5-member group produced by world star Rain, and its members are known siblings to celebrities like 2NE1 Sandara Park and actress Go EunAh.
And in a recent interview, the members talk about their love and ‘hate’ for the ‘Rain leadership’ they receive.
▶Secret to the ‘Rain leadership’?
The group debuted with doing the opening performance to Rain’s concert previously on the 10th. And they were even called ‘Rain’s kids’ by many. Even though they just debuted, they have gained much popularity and capabilities. Hence, there is curiosity as to how the members see Rain.
FYI, MBLAQ has been called the in-sa-dol (coined by words ‘greeting’ and ‘idol’), this nickname was earned from their 90-degrees bowing when they do greetings.
* “Really? The first thing we learnt was the ways of greeting”
* “Perfectionism. We just do that and everyone just called us that after that. They said that we ‘JTunes Kids’ are dance machines. We did dance practice for up till 14 hours a day. At first it was tough, but slowly we adapted to it”
* Normally he is like a hyung to us, but when he transform into a producer he is someone who does things well.”
* “Even though there is much stress and burden, he never pass the burden to us. He always gives us hope and courage through his words.”
▶Thunder talks about Sandara Park, Mir talks about Go EunAh!
There are 2 members in MBLAQ who are younger brothers to stars and singers. Thunder’s sister is Sandara Park. In 2004, after watching a vide of Rain’s concert performance in the Philippines, he decided to be a singer and went back to Korea to do audition under JTunes and was casted as MBLAQ member.
When asked about his sister’s real personality as compared to the funny and carefree image she shows, he said, “She is the same real life. And very funny”.
Member Mir was understood as FT Island member Hongki during the group’s appearance on Mnet M!Countdown by one of the staff to the show.
But who he really look like is his sister Go EunAh. It is said that you can’t tell them apart if Mir is to have long hair. And his brother-in-law is also the president of JTunes Entertainment.
▶People say they are similar to 2PM?
Amidst this point in time where they call it the ‘beasty idol syndrome’, there were some reference to group 2PM.
Member Thunder has the looks like Nich Khun in 2PM. While 2PM focuses on acrobatic performance, MBLAQ SeungHo is known for his gymnastic performances. Their songs have the same type of feel. You will just get hooked to the group’s debut R&B title song ‘Oh Yeah’.
▶Looking for Rain’s lookalike
The members pick Lee Joon as the one who looked the most like Rain. In terms of looks and dance, the 2 are really similar.
It is said that he also have the build like Rain, and Lee Joon has a share in ‘revealing of the skin’ during performance.
And about the group striving to do better than Rain, it was revealed that one of Rain’s favourite lines are “Please do better than me” as a teacher to the group.
But like the saying goes, even for the longest journey, everything starts with the first step. And all attention is on how far this group will go.

']]}[news] JYP dials up the 808 state
The first stop on the 2009 JYP USA Audition Tour was none other than the 50th State. The auditions were held on October 25th from 10:00am – 3:00pm at the Waikiki Resort Hotel, which is owned by Korean Airlines. A little over a hundred of Hawaii’s finest turned out to audition to be the next Rain, Wonder Girl, or beastly idol. Those that attended ranged in age from tweens to twenty-somethings and there was an even amount of male and female contenders. There was an abundant amount of singers followed by dancers, with a few actors and models sprinkled in the mix.
For those of you thinking of trying out, here’s what you can look forward to. The registration process was fast followed by about an hour wait. While waiting to audition, participants were shown videos of JYP trainees so they could get a taste of what life would be like if chosen. JYPE staff were generally helpful and kind answering questions and giving auditioners tips for their performances. They were then taken to the audition room in groups of 10. In the audition room, there were three staff, one judge, one assistant, and one videographer. Each person went on stage individually and was allowed to present whatever they prepared in entirety. Many of the auditioners claimed that nerves got the best of them and they were a little intimidated by the judge who was reportedly, beautiful.
Those that pass the audition will be notified via email by December 15th. The ultimate prize will be a position as a trainee of JYP Entertainment. Next stop for the tour is Los Angeles on All Hallow’s Eve. One savvy auditioner noticed that after a few minutes the videographer tended to stop recording the video for most of the performers. Whenever a standout performed, they videoed the whole performance. Just a little something to look out for if you are auditioning in one of the upcoming cities.
A few of Kpop’s finest are either from Hawaii or were ‘discovered’ there. Rebekah Kim, better known as After School maknae Beka, was born and raised in Hawaii. She is a graduate of Moanalua High School on the island of Oahu. Eun Ji Won and Kang Sung Hoon of Sechs Kies were discovered at a club in Hawaii by the vacationing co-president of Daesung Entertainment. The two had been living in Hawaii while attending Hawaii Pacific University.

Eunhyuk from Super Junior and Hyunah from 4minute danced their version of Baek Ji Young's hit "My ear's Candy" know for its entertaining live performances featuring Taekyeon of 2pm. Super Junior Miracle is a NDrama from KBS showing and giving a mentor to strayed students. In this episode, 4minute appeared as Hope Messengers and was warmly welcomed by Super Junior.
And of course, 4minute members showed off their charms and charisma and suggested a happy virus dance party in which hyunah and eunhyuk got to dance together. The cut is entertaining itself and sure to please your interests. This episode was aired last 24th of October.

Today "Gold Miss is Coming" called some popular stars and asked them to sing in their future wedding ceremony.
After G-Dragon got called by one of Gold Miss, Yang Jung Ah, Korean actress Choi Jung Yoon called another star, and it was Kim jong Kook.
While They were talking, comedian Shin Bong Sun felt jealous with Choi Jung Yoon, and grabbed the phone Choi Jung Yoon's holding just for listening Kim Jong Kook's beautiful voice.

I was really busy today and had no free time,,ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

As soon as we got home we skipped bathing and sat down and started the event!!!

'Into Sunday Night' Criticism over invading Jaebum's privacy
A month after the '2PM Jaebum situation', the new program 'Into Sunday Night' is raising controversy on the issue of invasion of privacy.
On the 25th at 11:35PM, 'Into Sunday Night' had aired the footage of Jaebum and his family without their consent. After seeing the surprised/baffled look of Jaebum and his family and the footage of them avoiding the cameras, the viewers raised a voice of criticism on the viewer board online stating that "The program used Jaebum in order to get high ratings."
One viewer stated, "I was watching the program with my parents but changed the channel. Anyone can see that they were just trying to get high viewer ratings for the first episode. He was trying to heal his wounds after leaving Korea and you go and push your cameras into his family's faces...How can Jaebum go around comfortably now?"
Another viewer stated, "Exposing his house, and trying to get an interview from his family who clearly did not want to... It was a sneaky way to film."
Although 'Into Sunday Night' was designed to be an ambitious new program taking controversial issues and the current atmosphere of society and looking at it from a new perspective, after the airing of the first episode, it was hit by a wave of criticism and engulfed in controversy.

']]}[news] Infinite Challenge is heading to New York! Wonder Girls?
The Infinite Challenge crew are heading to New York as pics from them leaving Korea was just released. Members Yoo Jae Suk, Jung Jun Ha, Park Myung Soo, and Gil of Leessang departed from Incheon International Airport to New York. Their mission this time is to "make the world know about Korean food." However, there's also a side mission. They will also have a photo shoot for the 2010 calender.
No Hong Chul and Jung Hyun Dong had personal reasons so they will leave on the 27th.
Park Myung Soo said that "in New York, people jog without shirts on" and acted as if he was familiar with the area. Yoo Jae Suk then replied, "when we get to New York, you should really jog with your shirt off." Park Myung Soo answered back saying that "I will jog with no shirt on!"
The Infinite Challenge crew will be going to the JYP headquarters in NY and is planned to meet the Wonder Girls! However, no specific plans have been revealed.
They will spend a total of 10 days in New York and film 4 episodes before heading back home to Korea.
