[News] BIG BANG To Sing Fuji TV Morning Show Theme Song

It has been announced that Korean 5-member dance-vocal unit BIGBANG will sing the theme song to Fuji TV's morning show "Mezamashi Saturday" that airs every saturday from 6 a.m.

This is the first time a Korean group is singing the theme song for an information/news show, and is also a first for Fuji TV.

Mezamashi Saturday's producer has said that he hopes that the show will be "explosive" just like BIGBANG's name.

The song, currently in production, is called "HANDS UP". It has a meaning of "getting excited by putting your hands up in the air", with an uptempo melody, and hopes to convey the energetic spirit of a weekend morning.

Members V.I (19) and D-LITE (20) expressed that they are doing their best to produce a song that will be well-received by everyone. It has not been decided if/when the song will be released on CD. The song will be on-air for about half a year from the 3rd of April onwards.

On SBS TV ‘Quiz! Intuition Battle,’ Mir revealed that he is strong against alcohol.

At the question, ‘When was the moment when I felt that I really grew older?’ he was sharing his experience of having a drink with all of his family in celebration of his turning 20 years old.

The Japanese audience will get to know more about the girls than through a mini concert in the SHIBUYA-AX and a ‘Konnichiwa 4minute desu’.

While waiting the beginning of their promotions on May 1st, several Japanese magazines will - or have already done so - release interviews and, in some cases, pictorials shot for the occasion. Here goes the current list :

Besides, the Japanese branch of Korean cable channel Mnet will air several footages of the girls. Between March 16th and March 30th, a special corner will be dedicated to 4minute via the show Mnet「k-girl project」. The broadcasting date and hour are yet to be revealed. Moreover, an episode of another upcoming show, NO CUT STORY 2, will feature the girls in a more intimate way ; the airing is set for April 21st.

With such bombing featuring on both paper and screen, it looks as if the girls are currently active in Japan and that their promotions have already started. Their Japanese promotions in May will actually end their busy Asian touring which looks, for the moment - and till the end I hope -, successful.

Remember that you can already preorder aor two or sseuri and why not poh ! version of the Japanese single ‘Muzik’ which release is set for May 5th.

[NEWS] Swings wants to work with G-Dragon, CL and Teddy!

Interviewer: So are there any other musicians you want to work with in the future? Limited to Korean artists. (laughs)

Swings: I’ll just mention about five people. Teddy, YDG -Yang Dong Geun hyung, and Jinbo hyung. To be honest, I didn’t really know who Jinbo hyung was.

[...] Hmm… and I also wanna work with Kwon Jiyong (G-Dragon) later on. On his album that was released last summer, there was this song called ‘The Leaders’featuring Teddy and CL (of 2NE1). Kwon Jiyong’s lyrics were so awesome in that song. He knows the meaning of style. And I think rap lyrics are the coolest when you’re saying something that only you can say.

Like Jay-Z, he wrote something about how he helped the current President a little, and it’s true. He helped at elections and stuff. But how many other rappers in existence would be able to say that except Jay-Z? [...] In a similar way, Kwon Jiyong says what only he can. What he said was in English and roughly translates to “You should check your girl’s phone, that’s my face on her frame.”(laughs) As soon as I heard those words, I agreed straight away. He was so awesome. I realised he really knows how to work it. He really understands hip hop in terms of fashion as well asperformances.

The music he’s doing right now may not be 100% hip hop, but he’s doing his own type of music and knows how to do it stylishly, so I think that’s hip hop too. And CL was mentioned before too, she’s also a really good rapper. She’s so talented and she knows the meaning of style too. I would love to work with any one of these people some time.

TVXQ’s Choikang Changmin, SHINee’s Minho and TRAX’s Jungmo visited U-Know Yunho’s concert performance to support him.

The three male celebrities attend “A Tribute band from Michael Jackson’s THIS IS IT movie and U-Know Live’, that was held today at Yongsan’s War Memorial Hall, to support fellow agency-mate U-Know Yunho.

At 6:45 pm, SHINee’s Minho and Choikang Changmin appeared and the fans stood up and welcomed their sudden appearance.

U-Know Yunho’s agency representatives said, “To support U-Know Yunho, SHINee and TVXQ came to the concert despite the cold weather. More celebrities will visit during the performance on the 28th.”

[NEWS] 2010, A person with an anticipated comeback, 'Park Jaebum'!

How long would it take for someone who has failed to get back on their feet? Regretfully speaking, 3 out of 5 college students considered 'Korea is a society that is uptight about failure' as an answer.

Recently a portal site named Albamon shared the results from a survey they conducted in which 1,386 college students participated.

When asked 'if there was a person in the society who has been tagged for social failure, would you give them another chance', in total 58.2% of the students answered "I would give them another chance for a come back to the person who failed but I would be uptight about it". 34.0% of the answers were "I am generous and understanding about it", while 7.9% answered they were unsure.

When asked about how lenient they would be on social failures, 26.8% of males and 28.0% of females answered 'none'. In regards to the field where chances for comebacks are most commonly given out, males voted 'Politics (22.7%)', whereas females voted 'Broadcast, celebrities (33.8%)', which ranked no. 1 in their respective gender categories.

In addition, when asked about their most anticipated comeback of a figure of 2010, in total 37.9% of the college students voted 'Myself (males 40.5%, females 36.1%)'. 2nd place went to 'My father, my mother and family' with 15.8%. Following this, the ex-2PM leader Park Jaebum got ranked 3rd place with 15.7% of the votes.

[News] Super Junior arrives in Vietnam--chaos continues to ensue

At last the day that the Kpop fans of Vietnam and fans of Super Junior have been talking about has arrived. Around 10 AM this morning (27.3), the eight boys of Super Junior set foot down in Noi Bai airport, Hanoi to attend the MTV Exit program to be held tonight at My Dinh stadium.


From last night, a large number of Super Junior fans have waited at the airport in order to get a good spot and not pass by the opportunity to see the boys appear. But this morning, both hallways A and B have been packed full as more people arrived throughout the day to come witness the appearance of idols. And the shaky security force were not able operate efficiently with such a large amount of people.

At first, things seemed to be orderly, under the control of police and volunteer guards hired to protect Super Junior, but things started to get out of hand and chaos at Noi Bai airport once again occured, much to the fear of SuJu as the guards were unable to control the fans.

Struggling to push through the crowd to exit the airport, SuJu quickly boarded the car to go to their hotel and prepare for the performance tonight. Afterwards, members of FC (fanclub) SuJu at Vietnam burst out in tears at the fact that they had put on such a bad first impression. Even though this was not the first time we have received overseas stars to come perform, it seemed as if the security still has not improved.

ELFs cried, It's because of it's the first time for them to see Super Junior.
