2PM Jaebum's B-Boy videos is attracting attention amidst the 2AM and 2PM joint stage showcase- Fans are letting out a deep sigh.

In September 2009, Jaebum withdrew and is staying in Seattle in the U.S. On January 30 (U.S. Time), Jaebum revealed a B-Boy dance battle. It has become known that during the battle, Jaebum wore t-shirts that the fans had sent him.

Fans saw the Youtube video of Jaebum's dance battle video and said, "It was an unspoken greeting" and "it seems like a token of appreciation to fans." Their reaction was, "In the future, we hope to interact with Jaebum through videos."

As the tshirts that fans gave to Jaebum was garnering attention, fans on cyworld discovered the news about the preparations for the "Oneday" (2AM and 2PM) joint performance. "Brother groups" 2AM and 2PM, on February 12th's New Year's special KBS 2TV "Music Bank" will be singing each other's song and doing a joint performance of featuring a song by their sunbae group GOD.

The fans said "without Jaebum, there is no Oneday "Oneday-1"" and "Jaebum's absence is felt more significantly." "We dream of an 11 member stage..." they speak out with a regretful voice.

Meanwhile, the buzz around Jaebum's return or permanent withdrawl have grown, but they are just empty rumors.

[News] Kim Bum In Legal Disputes

Kim Bum, one of the stars of the KBS smash hit drama "Boys Over Flowers," was questioned by prosecutors for about an hour last week over a legal dispute between his former and current agencies, according to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office Thursday.

The summons came after the president of Eyagi Entertainment, identified only as Hwang, Kim's former agent, filed a damage suit against Kim and his agency KingKong Entertainment for an alleged breach of contract.

Eyagi Entertainment said it signed a contract with Kim in October 2008 to represent him for the next six years and paid him 150 million won, but that the actor cancelled the contract unilaterally around March 2009 when"Boys Over Flowers" was in its final episodes.

Eyagi said Kim has earned nearly 800 million won since he terminated the contract. It filed the suit with a Seoul district court, claiming 500 million in damages.

But KingKong Entertainment denied that a contract violation had occurred.

"It's not a breach of contract by the actor but a dispute caused in the process of merger and demerger between KingKong Entertainment and Eyagi Entertainment. The contract was cancelled as Eyagi did not keep the promises it made during the merger process," it said. "We are going to take legal steps."

The prosecution questioned Eyagi Entertainment's chief in December. It also summoned KingKong Enertainment's head, identified only as Lee, on Feb. 1 for questioning.

Kim Bum, born in 1989, made his acting debut in the MBC drama "The Daring Sisters," and rose to stardom with "Boys Over Flowers."

[News] U-Kiss' Plans For The Future?

These boys made their debut into the music industry in August, 2008. But they were made familiar to the public only last year in November through their song, 'Man Man Ha Ni'. Debuting at the same time as them was popular group 2PM. How did these members feel watching from the side?

1 year and 5 months after their debut, U-Kiss has come back with their 1st full album 'U-Kiss Only One' and they can brush off the sorrow they could not speak of during that period.　

• Born again with Man Man Ha Ni

There is a huge difference between U-Kiss' popularity before and after the release of 'Man Man Ha Ni'. It's not an exaggeration to compare it to heaven and hell.
　
U-Kiss has more than one or two bad memories of their days when they were unknown. There were even cases where their name 'U-Kiss' was written wrongly on the door of the waiting room. Also there were emergency situations where only 5 mics were prepared for the then 6 membered group.

On broadcasting programmes, there were times where the producers did not know of U-Kiss' songs and hence left the song names in the cuesheets blank.

The members explained, "after facing such situations, we lost our confidence. Naturally, since we were not on par with the rest of the artistes, when we appeared on music shows, we really disliked going out of our waiting room."

But after they released 'Man Man Ha Ni', which was a big hit, things changed. More people knew of U-Kiss and naturally, their confidence was boosted.

U-Kiss said "we have filmed our first CF after our debut". "Our music video filming set also became bigger" and "we can feel the strength in our manager's voice when he receives a call for a schedule", laughed U-Kiss.

• The whirlwind dance becoming popular after the Gangnam (strong man) dance

While their popularity rose, the burden on them (to do well) also increased. Fortunately, the same response they received for 'Man Man Ha Ni' is still around.

Only 3 days after the release of their album, it rose to number 1 on the Hanteo chart, which records the total sale of the albums. Similarly, they have done well on various music video, ringtones and caller ring charts.

The title song of their 1st full album 'Bingeul Bingeul' was produced by Brave Brothers, with whom U-Kiss has worked with since their debut. It is of an electronic hip-hop genre and like 'Man Man Ha Ni', it bears an addictive tune.

They paid attention especially to the dance. After the gangnam dance in 'Man Man Ha Ni' was made popular, many fans were interested in what kind of dance they would see in 'Bingeul Bingeul'. And the dance U-Kiss prepared is the whirlwind dance.

According to the members, "we used ear-mics so that our hands can move freely. The performance also seems more fancy this way. It feels like an upgrade of the 'Gangnam Dance."

• The desire for U-Kiss in Asia

The first full album consists of 14 tracks.

Title song 'Bingeul Bingeul' and pre-released song 'Without You' have catchy choruses, together with 'What did you say (Mworago)'. 'Dancing Flow' by popular songwriter cum producer Han Sang Won also shows off U-Kiss' strong image.

Overcoming the sad memories of being unknown, they prepared for the release of their first full album step-by-step, producing a perfect full album.

After their debut, U-Kiss has worked hard to advance into local as well as overseas markets and this time round, they still hold the same goal. They will promote locally till April and have planned to spread out to 8 other countries in Asia for album promotions and concerts, including Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, China and the Philippines.

According to the director, "'Man Man Ha Ni' received a lot of love locally last year and U-Kiss has been receiving lots of love calls from event organizers overseas. They have already secured some hardcore fans and it looks like U-Kiss may be able to hit a big one overseas this year."

U-Kiss' goal for this year is to be first on ranking programs. According to the members, "we have never reached 1st place before. We will use the strength we gained from 'Man Man Ha Ni' as a start to climb to the top."

Narsha, member of the girl group "Brown Eyed Girls", revealed that she was unhappy with Ga-in.

Narsha and Ga-in were filming KBS2TV "Happy Together 3" when she spoke about this.

T-ara Jeon BoRam’s little sister appeared on broadcast show with her to explain the criticisms on her height.

Recently on SBS Star Junior Show lunar new year special, Boram’s little sister Jung WooRam has appeared on the show together.


Jeon WooRam said, “Her makeup was so thick that even her little sister could not recognise her.” She also showed photos of Jeon Boram when she was a model and her current photos for comparison.

[News] K.Will Represents Korea For Japan's Pop Festival

K.Will represents Korea at Japan’s pop festival

Ballad singer K.Will will be visiting Japan over the weekend to represent Korea at the Asia Pop Festival in Japan. The event will be held in the Niigata prefecture, said his agency Starship Entertainment on Wednesday.

Starship mentioned that the festival is set to open this Sunday, on Valentine’s Day and will be featuring top stars from different Asian countries. K.Will was invited to the event because of his increasing fan base in Japan, said concert producers NHK Enterprise as quoted by K.Will’s management.

The Asia Pop Festival, held in commemoration of the earthquake that occurred in Niigata five years ago, is set to bring together artists from different countries that have participated in relief efforts. Japanese singer GACKT and Taiwanese singers Jerry Yan and actor Peter Ho will also be present at the event this year.

K.Will will be performing some of his hit songs such as “Teardrops,” “Miss, miss, miss,” and “Love is Punishment” (taken from “Brilliant Legacy” OST)

[NEWS/VIDEO] 2NE1 is up all-kill on music charts in just 3 days

The 2NE1 fever is going strong in Kpop world. It is no longer the case of surprise event from a newcomer singer. Their new song is an all-kill on music charts in just 3 days into its release. 2NE1’s golden age is said to be approaching.

The group got into the Kpop scene like a comet and achieve success with their 1st album. This was because it was the period when WonderGirls had left the Kpop scene for their American debut and So Nyeo Shi Dae ending their ‘Gee’ promotions.

But this time, the situation is different. So Nyeo Shi Dae has been in the spotlight since the release of their new song ‘Oh!’. 2NE1 previously revealed their digital hiphop single ‘Try To Be Like Me’ on 9th February.

The song was released as a prelude and promotion to the girls’ upcoming 2nd album.

The song is already leading So Nyeo Shi Dae’s ‘Oh!’, which it was first revealed on 25th January. Looking at the music charts results on 11th February, the song is up at #1 on all charts except for one or two charts where it is competing for #1,2 positions.

The 2NE1 members have been doing their solo activities since their 1st album promotions ended, many are seeing that their comeback will change the landscape for the girlgroups in Kpop.

[News] UKiss Dongho Bleached His Hair 15 Times?!

U-Kiss’ first full album has been released. They come back with a new song, ‘Bingeul Bingeul’, which shows of a manlier side of them than we saw in ‘Man Man Ha Ni’. With more intense visuals and melody, especially with maknae Dongho’s almost-white hair, they have been gaining much attention.

When Dongho met with T-news, he revealed, “I bleached my hair 15 times” and “During the 15 times of bleaching, my scalp was burning so badly I felt like dying. The state of my hair has been made worse too.“

The other members went through a similar process too. Alexander and Eli have asymmetrical hairstyles, Kevin has orangey hair, Soohyun boasts chic black hair and Kiseop and Kibum have new hairstyles too.

Idols put a lot of effort into exercising to maintain a good body. From before ‘Man Man Ha Ni’ promotions, U-Kiss who has nicknames such as ‘protein’, ‘chicken breast’ amongst themselves have taken exercise seriously. “For our promotions this time round, we focused on weight training to achieve a good figure”, said the group. In U-Kiss’ music video, the members revealed their nude upper bodies, showing solid bodies achieved through exercise.

‘Bingeul Bingeul’, the title track this time is produced mainly by Brave Brothers, with a strong intro and addictive repetition of ‘Bingeul Bingeul’.

[News] Netizen's Gather Signatures Urging C.N. Blue's Composer Leave The Music Industry

Plagiarism has again emerged as a hot issue in the Korean music scene after star composer Kim Do-hun was accused of plagiarizing a song by an indie band.

Netizens accuse Kim of having copied parts of the song “Blue Bird” by indie band Ynot for his song “I’m a loner,” which he composed for the indie band CNBLUE. To support their claims, they have uploaded text and clips of the two songs to the Web.

Meanwhile, a group of netizens has started gathering signatures for an online petition urging Kim to leave the music industry because, they say, he has built his career with plagiarized songs.

“Kim wrote a song titled ‘Lie’ for Gavy NJ and it was pretty much the same as Jennifer Lopez’s ‘Brave,’” a person with the screen name Rasmus wrote on the site Agora, a major online debate forum operated by local search engine Daum. “There were also similarities between Kim’s ‘8282’ [sung by Davichi] and Mika’s ‘Happy Ending.’ The list goes on.”

Rasmus launched the signature campaign against Kim. As of yesterday morning, 3,181 netizens had signed on.

Another of Kim’s songs, “Can’t Forget” sung by Kim Jong-kook, is said to have an introduction that is similar to that of Usher’s “Love in This Club.”

Kim refuted the allegations in a statement issued earlier this week.

“There are so many similar songs because they all belong to the same genre,” the statement said.

Kim began his career in 1995 and since then has composed songs for many of the nation’s A-list singers, including Lee Hyo-ri, Lee Seung-ki, SES, SG Wannabe, Big Mama and Fly to the Sky.

In his statement, Kim also implored netizens to stop making assumptions about his work.

The debate over whether Kim plagiarized has become heated, with celebrities chiming in to either denounce or defend him. Singer Shin Hae-chul, who is known for his catty comments, did not hesitate to snipe at Kim, saying that if Kim is proven innocent he will retire from the music industry.

Singer Jin Joo wrote on her home page that the Korean music industry is “a dirty world where plagiarism is a sure-fire way to become a star.”

In fact, the local music industry has been damaged by a raft of plagiarism scandals in past years, but there is no organization to deal with these claims. Until 1998, the now-defunct Performance Ethics Committee handled plagiarism cases, but the organization set to replace it, the Korea Media Rating Board, is no longer responsible for these issues.
