[News] C.N Blue Kang MinHyuk’s tearful confession, “It really hurts to be misunderstood as a fake band’

Flower boy band C.N Blue drummer Kang MinHyuk talks about the hardship he had gone through to go come thus far.

During Mnet ‘CN BlueTory’ aired on 24th February, Kang MinHyuk spoke up about his anger of their musical capabilities of their idol band.

He said, “There was posts written on the internet about how C.N Blue did not plug in their instruments during their performance. We practise for so many years just to be able to perform in front of everyone, we came prepared and yet when I saw posts like that I feel very hurt. Like dance singers or all singers, band singers like us also went through a long period of training. We look at the popular musicians during their public performances and really practise very hard.” with tears flowing.

He added, “There is this bias about the band singers in our country and it becomes the walls of development and growth. And because of that, I am hurt and I want to break through this. So I tell myself that I have to work harder in the future.”

Other than that, leader member Jung YongHwa was also featured saying, “Even though we are receiving much love from fans these days, there are also those who go ‘Those kids are fake band’, and it is very sad to hear them. Hearing those words is just unfair and hard for us. But we will work hard to improve so as to be acknowledged as true musicians.”

Fan’s question: Tell me which musician affected you most.

YongHwa: My favorate genre has been changed often since I was a child. Then I heard Bon Jovi’s ‘Everyday’ and ‘Always’, I just realized ‘Ah a band is such a cool stuff’. Since then, I’ve loved Bon Jovi till now.
Beomsoo: Bon Jovi has been about 30 years already. But they are still in Billboard top ten when they release new song.
Do you want to be that old band?
Yonghwa : Yes, our goal is to be a grandpa band.
Beomsoo: Grandpa band, You can do it definitely.
Yonghwa : Thank you.

JungShin: You may think I’m grotesque. My favorite song is Mr. Big – Daddy brother lover little boy. My friends recommended their live video, so I watched it. They played guitar and bass by pick put on drill machine. That was my first time hearing hard rock. I learned there was this kind of music in the world. It was hard, but I loved it. I was attracted by band music. A band has power. Since then, I wanted to be in the band.
Beomsoo: You have such pretty looking face, then attracted by playing guitar by pick put on drill machine, you’re scary. Many guitarists are attracted by playing by teeth or playing with leaning your head back.
Yonghwa : People are hooked by those things at first.

JongHyun: I like bands but the musician I admire for my whole life is Eric Clapton.
Beomsoo: Do you know Eric Clapton in your age?
JongHyun: I had fallen in blues for long time.
Beomsoo: You have such depth. Which part was most attractive to you?
JongHyun: He was aged, he was sitting and singing with just a guitar. He was the most adorable person I’ve ever seen.
Beomsoo: You were that adorable just before.
JongHyun: That is an overstatement.
Beomsoo: Famous dance singer visited Korea not long ago, and said ‘The most important thing to a musician is music.’
CNBLUE has solid musical base, it makes your handsome outlook glitter more.

MinHyuk: I also had prejudice and preconception against band music. I thought band music is just hard, rock or metal music. And I got to hear Maroon 5, and it made me realize that a band music can also make my body excited. What I heard often was ‘She will be loved’, ‘This love’ and ‘Wake up call’. These songs are what made me learn the diversity of band music.

[News] FNC Music 's Apology Regarding Manager's Assault

http://img688.imageshack.us/img688/5485/20290973.jpg

Regarding C.N. Blue's manager assault FNC Music release an apology statement for the incident.

Hello. This is FNC Music.

First of all, we are very sorry be contacting our fans with bad news during the Lunar New Year holidays.

The video of the CN Blue manager that was posted today was taken on the afternoon of February 11th at the KBS parking lot located in Seoul YeoIeDo, right before the KBS ‘Music Bank’ rehearsal.
On that day, many fans gathered around the car that CN Blue was on in order to look at the members of CN Blue.
So the manager demanded that the way was made, however because so much fans were around the car, the way inside the KBS building was impossible.
The time was passing by and the manager was cornered with the fact that he couldn’t bring these new stars in the industry in time for the rehearsals
Even the KBS officials helping CN Blue get into the building were pushed back because of the fans and the situation didn’t get better from there.
In the midst of the situation the CN Blue members started to get off of the car in order to reach the building, and then one fan strongly pulled the hat of the hoodie that Jonghyun was wearing, almost making him fall in the process.
And then manager, already stressed out from the situation, ended up showing violence at the fan that almost knocked down Lee Jonghyun.

However, we believe that in any situation, showing violence is not acceptable and currently the manager and all the staff at FNC Music are very, deeply sorry about the case towards the fans.

Also, the manager regarding this will claim all actions for this case himself. And so that such actions won’t be happening again, we will educate the managers all very well.

And also the netizens are commenting that Lee Jonghyun is laughing that the manager for showing such violence.
However that expression was the expression of Lee Jonghyun realizing that the fact that he almost fell from the fan that was clinging on to his clothes, since that was his first encounter there.
As you can see clearly from the video posted on the internet, while the manager was showing violence, Lee Jonghyun had his body down low, not being able to see the action very well.
Also because, Lee Jonghyun had his hoodie on and covering his whole face, his vision field wasn’t very good.
We just wanted to clarify the fact that Lee Jonghyun was smiling during the violence is not true.

We wanted to apologize to all the fans loving CN Blue, and we promise to be an even hardworking FNC Music.

Once again, we bow our heads down and apologize for disturbing your joyful break with bad news.

[News] Netizen's Gather Signatures Urging C.N. Blue's Composer Leave The Music Industry

http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/upload/news/100208_p16_shin1.jpg

Plagiarism has again emerged as a hot issue in the Korean music scene after star composer Kim Do-hun was accused of plagiarizing a song by an indie band.

Netizens accuse Kim of having copied parts of the song “Blue Bird” by indie band Ynot for his song “I’m a loner,” which he composed for the indie band CNBLUE. To support their claims, they have uploaded text and clips of the two songs to the Web.

Meanwhile, a group of netizens has started gathering signatures for an online petition urging Kim to leave the music industry because, they say, he has built his career with plagiarized songs.

“Kim wrote a song titled ‘Lie’ for Gavy NJ and it was pretty much the same as Jennifer Lopez’s ‘Brave,’” a person with the screen name Rasmus wrote on the site Agora, a major online debate forum operated by local search engine Daum. “There were also similarities between Kim’s ‘8282’ [sung by Davichi] and Mika’s ‘Happy Ending.’ The list goes on.”

Rasmus launched the signature campaign against Kim. As of yesterday morning, 3,181 netizens had signed on.

Another of Kim’s songs, “Can’t Forget” sung by Kim Jong-kook, is said to have an introduction that is similar to that of Usher’s “Love in This Club.”

Kim refuted the allegations in a statement issued earlier this week.

“There are so many similar songs because they all belong to the same genre,” the statement said.

Kim began his career in 1995 and since then has composed songs for many of the nation’s A-list singers, including Lee Hyo-ri, Lee Seung-ki, SES, SG Wannabe, Big Mama and Fly to the Sky.

In his statement, Kim also implored netizens to stop making assumptions about his work.

The debate over whether Kim plagiarized has become heated, with celebrities chiming in to either denounce or defend him.
Singer Shin Hae-chul, who is known for his catty comments, did not hesitate to snipe at Kim, saying that if Kim is proven innocent he will retire from the music industry.

Singer Jin Joo wrote on her home page that the Korean music industry is “a dirty world where plagiarism is a sure-fire way to become a star.”

In fact, the local music industry has been damaged by a raft of plagiarism scandals in past years, but there is no organization to deal with these claims. Until 1998, the now-defunct Performance Ethics Committee handled plagiarism cases, but the organization set to replace it, the Korea Media Rating Board, is no longer responsible for these issues.

[News] C.N. Blue In Trendy Magazine

Like the characters in the drama You’re Beautiful, they’re members of a band. TRENDY wondered what would happen if C.N.BLUE met someone like Minam.

All members smiled cunningly and made the leader Yong Hwa answer the question.
“If something like the drama really happened, that is, a Ko Minam (girl dressed as a guy) got into our team, though such thing happens only in comic books, if that really happened, it should be very interesting! But I don’t think we should lie! Telling lies aren’t good anyway.”

Hearing the answer from the leaders, Minhyuk, Jonghyn and Jungshin nodded and agreed.

Leader Jung Yonghwa played Kang Shinwoo so successfully in You’re Beautiful. His looking warm and loving pulled the heart strings of viewers. What do the other members think about Kang Shinwoo and Yonghwa’s acting?

“They praise me a lot. Haha!”

However, the members stayed quiet, Jung Yonghwa got embarrassed, and they all laughed out loud.

Minhyuk: “I watched that in Japan. When I saw Yonghwa who’s so different from his usual self, I was very surprised. Maybe it’s because I really understand him and am closed to him, I was so embarrassed watching certain scenes that I almost felt like hiding all my fingers. But it’s good to see him from a new angle and he looked really gorgeous in the show.”

Yonghwa explained, “Maybe for I’m the kind who’s emotional, people don’t usually feel my multi-faceted sides. It’s best we skip this topic.”

I can see that he was just shy when speaking up first!
But I was wondering, if all C.N.BLUE members do the drama “You’re Beautiful”, what would that version be like?

This time Minhyuk stopped the leader and answered first, “I wanna try Shinwoo hyung, for I should be able to show a very different image.”

“Wanna show a different image? Totally different from mine? What different image?” Yongwha was so curious about the Minhyuk version of Shinwoo hyung, “Come on, tell us?”

“I think Yonghwa hyung’s kind of cheesy?” Minhyuk looked for Jonghyun and Jungshin’s agreement.

Jungshin nodded, “Kind of cheesy.”

Hearing Minhyuk, Yonghwa widened his eyes, as if he couldn’t believe what he heard and shook his head.

“Minhyuk is kind of high. Actually it’s our debut day and it’s just that Minhyuk is too high,” Yonghwa hurriedly explained and added with an analytical tone, “Seems that Minhyuk isn’t ready to play Shinwoo hyung yet but Jonghyun has similar quality as Huang Tae Kyung.”

Hearing the leader saying this, Jonghyun nodded. “And… Jungshin has the image like Ko Minam. Kind of like Ko Minam?”

“Really?” Jungshin couldn’t believe he got the role of Ko Minam.

Yonghwa concluded, “Things would be like that. Haha!”

This version is so funny. TRENDY couldn’t help laughing out loud!

[News] CNBLUE comments on Strong Heart Scandal, more details

Boyband CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa was a guest on SBS Entertainment Program (Strong Heart) (MC Kang Ho Dong, Lee Seung Gi) that aired on the 9th. He revealed his embarassing story regarding his Pusan dialect.

On this day, Jung Yong Hwa revealed, "I saw this girl that caught my attention and I thought she was my ideal so I asked her out but later on we realized we were both from Pusan. I found out that she wanted to meet a Seoul guy who didn't use a dialect so she purposely didn't use a dialect either," sending the other guests and audience into laughter.

However, one netizen posted on the "comments" section of the show, "This story is the same as the story I sent to a radio talk program last year." He continued, "This is a story I posted on SBS radio (Cultwooshow)". I tried to look for it on the website but it's been deleted. I saw (Strong Heart) yesterday and was shocked."

At first, all the blame was poured on Jung Yong Hwa but the arrow has been pointed to (Kang Shim Jang)'s writing team and now it has turned to the staff. CNBLUE explained,"It's been awhile since Yonghwa filmed (Kang Shim Jang)" and continued, "It's ridiculous to say that he said someone else's story. It's a situation that he went through himself."

Moreover, besides Jung Yong Hwa's scandal, netizens are complaining as they wonder why Hweesung's story that was aired in the preview video last week was not included in the airing of the show on the 9th.

[NEWS] Jung Yonghwa, "Rejected because of dialect," humiliating confession!

CNBlue Jung Yonghwa revealed a regrettable incident that happened when he went to Seoul from his hometown, Busan.

Jung Yonghwa made an appearance on SBS Strong Heart on 9 February, telling the story of meeting his ideal woman by chance in Myeong Dong.

Jung Yonghwa disclosed, "I saw my ideal woman at Myeong Dong and thought that I should not lose her, so I asked her out to a movie on the spot." The girl, of course, accepted his offer and they both went to a cinema. While watching the movie, the girl made a remark of a character's lines, "I really hate Kyeong Sang Do men," which shook Jung Yonghwa's heart.

As a result, Jung Yonghwa decided that he must not show that he is from Kyeong Sang Do. However, he subconciously slipped out in dialect at a cafe. Jung Yonghwa bursted out, "Warm," and, "It's bitter," in dialect. The girl got angry with the dialect and left the cafe without saying anything. When asked for the reason, she threw Yonghwa off with one sentence in dialect. "You're from Busan, aren't you?!"

In the end, the girl who hated Kyeong Sang Do men was also from Kyeong Sang Do. She hoped to date a Seoul guy and had considered Jung Yonghwa.
