[news] Rain to hold Xmas concert in Las Vegas

nAsian pop sensation Rain will hold a concert in the United States over Christmas, according to his agency on Thursday.

"He will hold concerts at a hotel in Las Vegas on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day," an official at J.Tune Entertainment said, adding that all the details have been agreed upon and are about to sign the contract.

The official added that the show will take on a similar format from his "Legend of Rainism" tour this year.

Rain will be performing for the first time in three years in the U.S. after holding his first concert at New York's Madison Square Garden in February 2006 and in Las Vegas in December the same year.

The 27-year-old singer, whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon, has been one of the most successful celebrities in the entertainment industry since his debut in 2002.

His singing career has gained him massive popularity throughout Asia and he also appeared in several movies and TV series -- most notably dramas "Full House" and "Sang Doo! Let's Go To School." He recently starred in a Wachowski Brothers production "Ninja Assassin", which is set for a worldwide release in late November.

Far East Movement has released a Party Animal Mix CD to accompany their Party Animal T-Shirt, and "Like a G6" is a track included in this Mix CD. [news] SNSD's Seohyun is College Bound

Congratulations are in order for SNSD's maknae as it was announced that she was accepted into college today.


Continuing with the trend of idols going to college as reported in our earlier post, SNSD's Seohyun was accepted into Dongguk University. Interestingly enough, fellow SNSD member Yuri and Big Bang's Seungri were also announced as being accepted in the college as well. Seohyun will be graduating high school this coming February.

As you may recall, Yuri and Seungri were both accepted into Chung-Ahn University in late October so they have the option of deciding which university to attend. Dongguk University has a few famous students that are currently attending. SNSD's Yoona, Lee Seung Gi and Wonder Girl's Sun Ye are all current students at Dongguk University so it will be interesting to see which college Yuri and Seungri decide to attend.

[news] ‘Infinity Challenge’ Looking For Ways They Can Send Jaebum Rice

The MBC ‘Infinity Challenge’ production staff are looking for ways to send Jaebum, who has participated in the rice farming project’, rice.

The staff revealed recently to Star news that, “We are considering plans to send rice to the members who worked hard in the rice farming project.”

When asked, “Do you have intentions to send some to Jaebum, who’s currently residing in Seattle?” they showed a positive stance and replied, “We are currently discussing that. Isn’t it only right to for him to get his share of the harvest after working together.” However they also added that it was not easy to send grain abroad.

Jaebum had made an appearance in one of the episodes for the ‘Rice farming project’ bringing about a lot of attention and interest.

After a 6 membered teaser cut was revealed, a new teaser cut of 7 members made by fans have been attracting much attention.

Having revealed 'Tired of Waiting' on the 2nd, 'I was crazy for you' was revealed on the 5th. The highly masculine images of the 6 members have made the hearts of the fans flutter in anticipation. Amongst the fans, a 7 membered teaser cut has been circulating, causing much grief over the loss of Jaebum.

JYPE has stated "The new song included in 2PM's first official album allows you to feel the higher level of maturity of the members. We will continue to promote through different teasers on the 2PM site so please continue to watch and support."

2PM's 'I was crazy for you' will be opened to the public on the 6th through melon, Dosirak, and Cyworld.

World star Rain strikes a boss pose.

On the reality documentary ‘Art Of Seduction’ featuring MBLAQ aired on 4th November, Rain was seen being strict and giving advice to the group.

MBLAQ is a group produced by Rain, and they performed for the first time during Rain’s concert in Seoul on 9th October, they then had their debut stage on 15th October with the song ‘Oh Yeah’.

And during this documentary episode, it shows Rain and MBLAQ before and after these 2 performances. Rain said before his concert to the MBLAQ boys, “If you look at the ground, it means you have lost to me.” showing them encouragement for their first performance.

But after their first live performance on tv show, Rain made a 180 degrees change into a strict producer. After the performance he said, “I can’t even give 5 points out of 10 points for it”, “When I was watching it, I have many dissatisfaction”, “You don’t look like you are enjoying it but as if you were doing it as a chore”, “Others don’t know how I have taught you”, “Really really cannot make it” etc

With the reveal of Rain’s features as a strict producers, TV viewers commented, “He looks like a boss”, “Rain after all. Even his scary and strict features look cool” etc

In the midst of a sudden cold wave, popular girl group 4Minute and idol group BEAST spread love to those who are neglected through heartwarming service and an overnight trip.


NongShim®, through their company’s service operation, has worked for the past 10 years with “NongShim Sharing Love Service Club,” which this year on November 2 and 3 presented a special sharing love event with 4minute and BEAST in ‘SoopChaeWon’ in KangWonDo’s HwengSung district (tn: SoopChaeWon is a park area, I believe).

“NongShim Sharing Love Service Club” gathers the strength of popular stars and children nationwide to spread love to those people who are neglected in society through a chosen activity. This year, the hot icons of the new generation 4minute and BEAST, together with SuhKang Specialty School’s welfare operation, met with the physically disabled.

Under the guidance of a special instructor, 4minute and BEAST worked with the physically disabled and used leaves and watercolors for ‘making t-shirts out of leaves,’ ‘recreation,’ and other activities in order to convey the meaning of “sharing love.” They even spent time pushing wheelchairs up the forest park’s path.
