[news] Rain's Back to Basic special album release postponed

Rain whose comeback performances this weekend has been postponed due to the sinking incident also decided to slow down and delay the release of his special album in wave of sympathy for the accident.

Initially he planned to make a comeback on Music Bank, Music Core and Inkigayo but due to the sad atmosphere making it inappropriate the music shows have cancelled this weeks broadcast and yet delayed.

Rain's entertainment agency official said that the broadcast situation being postponed due to the social atmosphere and so the album release was postponed to 7 days, thus his album will be released on the April 7th.

Meanwhile, his title song "Love Song" has been sweeping the online music charts despite being a ballad track and actress Han Ye Seul being featured in the music video especially the sweet kissing scene has sparked explosive interest among fans.

Idol Singer Rain has made his comeback with his latest single "Love Song".

According to the chart released on the day of Rain's release of his song "Love Song" it has reached number 1 upon release giving a surprise to fans. His song beat girl groups such as After School, Girls Generation, T-ara and KARA and ranking number one ahead of the girl groups who are dominating the kpop scene. He is number 1 in Melon, Buck and also in Cyworld.

[news] Rain comeback this week's cancelation is inevitable

Singers comeback and performances for this weeks music programs cancellation is inevitable. This weekend's broadcast program that are going to be first aired in April would very likely be canceled.

April 1 is Rain's comeback date for his ballad song "Love sing" which is the title track for his special album there are plans for his comeback stages on the three major music programs this weekend on KBS Music Bank, MBC Music core and SBS Inkigayo.

However, the singer's comeback will be postponed because of the cheonanham incident and programs relating to the case reflects the social atmosphere are likely to be canceled and replaced with other programs that are more appropriate.

Thus April 2's music bank episode will be canceled and Rain's comeback on the show will most likely be postponed as the same goes for MBC music core, However SBS Inkigayo are still thinking about it's cancellation and are still discussing what they are going to do on the fourth of April.

Accordingly, with the new album release schedule, even singer Rain can cause changes in opinion, too carefully around music industry since he has came.

‘Lee Joon’, one of 5 male group MBLAQ’s members produced by Rain, is just being jealous of Rain, because his mother is partial to Rain.

‘Lee Joon’ appeared on KBS FM radio’s music program ‘Volume Up by Maybe’ on Mar.23, 2010 and talked about his mother and Rain.

‘Lee Joon’ :

My mother is a big fan of ‘Ji Hoon’ Hyung (Rain).

She came to see his (Legend of Rainism) concert in Seoul not because of me, but because of him.

[News] Release of teaser videos from Rain and Lee Hyori in 1 hour interval – start of the April mega showdown

We see the start of the ‘April mega showdown’ with the release of comeback teaser video by Lee Hyori and Rain within a one-hour interval today.

Lee Hyori released the teaser video to her comeback at 11am on Mnet and Naver showing new radical hairstyle and fashion concepts for her comeback on 29th March. And in less than 10 minutes into the reveal, it is already up #1 on search portal sites.

And following at 12 noon, Rain released a new teaser video to his comeback special album. And what is special about this album is that the title song is a ballad and not a dance song like Rain’s usual hits.

Another highlight to the comeback is that for the MV, Rain will be working with Han YeSeul. Rain will show a ’soft guy’ side of him in the MV.

This marks the start of the mega showdown of the Kpop singers in April. Other than Rain and Lee Hyori, other singers like 2PM, Son DamBi etc are also set to have their comeback in April.

Lee Hyori will release the MV to the album on 1st April and the full album release on 8th April. And Rain will release his new special album on 1st April.

[NEWS] Rain is coming back with a ballad

The title song to Korean entertainer Rain's new album due out next month will be a ballad named "Love Song," according to his agency J. Tune Entertainment on Friday.

J. Tune announced in a press release that the title track from his special album "BACK TO THE BASIC", due out April 1, will be a ballad tune that the singer wrote himself.

"For the first time since his debut, we have decided that the title song from Rain's special album will be a ballad," an official at J. Tune was quoted as saying. "Since this is a special album for fans, Rain himself wanted to take on a different approach."

A teaser to "Love Song" was unveiled today at noon on Rain's official website (www.rain-jihoon.com). The teaser for his special album, which was revealed Monday at midnight, attracted some 50,000 viewers instantaneously.

Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon, started his career as a trainee at Korea's major talent agency JYP Entertainment in 2002. He quickly gained fame throughout Asia, releasing five albums in Korea and starring in hit televisions dramas including "Full House" and "Sang Doo! Let's Go To School".

He made his Hollywood debut in 2008 thru the Wachowski Brothers' action flick "Speed Racer", which led to his star turn in the martial arts pic "Ninja Assassin" last year.

"BACK TO THE BASIC" marks his comeback to the Korean pop music scene in two years after releasing his last studio album "Rainism" in 2008.

[NEWS] Rain bags 3 awards at the 2010 Green Planet Movie Awards!

Singer actor Rain has won 3 award categories for the upcoming 2010 Green Planet Movie Awards.

The winners for the ‘2010 Greeen Planet Movie Awards’ were announced on 23rd March in American LA Western Bonaventure Hotel & Suites. Rain is awarded for ‘Representative Asian Star Top 10′, ‘Asian Cultural Awards’ and ‘Best Foreign International Awards’.

Green Planet Movie Awards (formerly Green Globe Film Awards) recognize Hollywood’s and Asia’s finest films, actors and filmmakers while raising awareness about the environment.

The theme for this year’s award ceremony is ‘Asian Movies’. And local movie ‘Mother’ was also awarded the best foreign movie.

Meanwhile, actress Kim YoonJin and Kim HyeSoo are also awarded the 10 best Asian actresses of the decade.

[News] After Ha JiWon, Rain to collaborate with actress Han YeSeul for new MV

Singer actor Rain will be playing a couple with actress Han YeSeul in the MV for his upcoming new song.

According to JTunes Entertainment rep, “He will be working with Han YeSeul for the MV fo his special album ‘Back To The Basic’ which will be released on 1st April.” They also released a still photo to the MV showing Rain giving Han YeSeul a back hug.

The reason for Rain’s collaboration for Han YeSeul is due to the recommendation by writer Lee KyungHee who wrote the dramas ‘SangDoo Ah Let’s Go to School’ and ‘A Love To Kill’. Writer Lee KyungHee also recommended Han YeSeul for recent drama ‘Why It Snow on Christmas’.

This will be Rain’s 2nd time working with an actress for his MV after his collaboration with Ha Ji Won for the MV to the song ‘Love Story’ off his 5th album last year. It will also be his 2nd dramatized MV.

Meanwhile, it was known that the MV was filmed on 21st and 24th March in KangNamDong.

[News] Rain for drama comeback this October

World star Rain will be appearing in our home theatre this October.

According to an official on 15th March, Rain is preparing for his drama comeback this October. He will start the preparations for the drama proper after his concert in Japan in June. This will be his next drama production after KBS 2TV mini series ‘A Love To Kill’ in 2005.

A JTunes Ent representative said, “It is true that he will be participating in a drama the 2nd half ot the year. But as to what type of production it will be we cannot confirm as of now.”

Already we were given a preview to Rain’s comeback drama this October during his interview for ‘Ninja Assassin’ last  year where he revealed the news.

But the drama comeback is delayed from the initial planned period of June-July this year.

Meanwhile, Rain’s drama comeback will be of more meaning since he had achieved success with his Hollywood film. An official revealed that Rain’s Hollywood movie Ninja Assassin had managed to earn 61 million dollars.

Singer Rain shined to the first place of the star who people wanted to do mouth to mouth transfer of candy on the white day.

[News] Rain to wrap up Asia Tour and release new mini-album in April

K-pop artist Rain will soon visit Japan as he gets ready to wrap up his Asia tour, according to his agency J.Tune Entertainment. 

The artist will hold the 'Legend of Rainism Asia Tour Japan Final' at the Yoyogi Gymnasium in Japan on April 17 and 18, the last of his shows which kicked off in Hong Kong last November.

The singer-actor will then return to Korea where he will make a comeback to the local music scene with a new mini-album in April.

Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon, is considered one of the most successful talents in the Korean entertainment industry. He has been popular throughout Asia since his debut in 2002.

He then appeared in several dramas and movies in Korea before making his Hollywood debut in 2008 film "Speed Racer". He became the first Korean to star in a Hollywood pic, playing the lead role in last year's "Ninja Assassin" by Joel Silver and the Wachowski Brothers.

[News] Lee Hyori and Rain to comeback and promote in the same time period after 7 years

It will be the first time in 7 years that the male and female representative sexy stars Rain and Lee Hyori perform on stage in the same time period.

It is planned that Lee Hyori will be releasing her 4th album late-March and Rain will also be releasing his special album early-April. With news that the 2 mega stars will be releasing new albums 1~2 weeks apart, fans are unable to contain their excitement.
