Hello.
This is the fanclub manager for FNC Music.

It is already the 4th week of March!
And next week will already be the last week of March.

It feels like its only been a few days since the new quarter started
But its already been a month.

Has everyone gotten accustomed to the new quarter yet?

It has to be a warm March with flowers blossoming...
But it has been cold temperatures and it even snowed today.

Since in weathers like this, there are more possibilities to get a cold,
So Primmadonnas, make sure to dress warmly.

Yesterday, along with HongKi's and JongHun's birthdays, we had a 1000 day party.
Even though there weren't too many primmadonnas present,
I prepared some pictures to share the emotions we had during the event.

There are rumors that primmadonnas were very excited
When HongKi and JongHun appeared with surprise gifts in the middle of the birthday party~~

With the fan meeting flowing smoothly and without any injuries for 2 hours
All the FT Island members were really happy as well.

Since it was the fan meeting before they left for Japan, they prepared a lot
But they were really sad that they couldn't show everyone!

So I tried to resolve the matter with some pictures.

[news] FT Island comeback in August/September 2010?

Seems like Hongki's birthday party provided us really good news (more than the fabulous video of the private party).

"Few informations about boys stay in Japan~

I. 19.05.2010 F.T Island will release their new single under Warner Music
II. In order to do a bigger promotion to boost Japanese Market, Warner Music needs the boys to stay there for 5 months for more activities like fanmeeting, magazine, interviews, short concert etc.
III. After promoting single, F.T Island will focus on their comeback album in Korea, which should be released in August/September 2010. It's believed their 6th album will be a bomb since it's a combination of both F&C and Warner Music.
IV. Although boys will be working on their new single and album, they'll also have their new Japanese show which will be aired starting 7th April."

[news] HONGKI & JONGHUN'S BIRTHDAY PARTY, 2010.03.21 - HIHAN小嗨 @ BAIDU

The birthday party and fanmeeting started on 21st at 3am and ended at 5.30pm.

First Hongki and Jonghun made birthday wishes. Hongki joked saying that his wish was that he hopes this year Jonghun will be more sensible~~ Jonghun said that he hopes everyone will be healthy.

The other three members gave presents - Jaejin gave roses, Seunghyun gave perfume (cologne). It is said that during adult ceremonies, they must receive three presents, which are "roses, perfume and kiss". When Minhwan was told to give a kiss, he was embarrassed, so Seunghyun took the initiative to run and hug Hongki and Jonghun and gave each a big kiss.

Hongki and Jonghun danced to Park Ji Yoon's "Adult Ceremony"~~ Afterwards, the two played and sang an English song~~ [T/N: Nickelback - Faraway] Hongki said he only learnt to play guitar for two weeks, but fans didn't believe him. Jonghun also said that two weeks isn't enough to be at that level~~ then Hongki "confessed" saying that it was actually two months~~

Jaejin was the sub-MC. The other members formed teams - Hongki and Minhwan in a team, Jonghun and Seunghyun in another team. Five fans were picked to go on stage to pair with the FTIsland members for a speed quiz game, guessing drama names, song names, film names, artists, animals etc. Hongki's team guessed the most correctly, and was praising himself saying he was smart.

Music was put on, and they all danced idol group dances - T-ara's "Bo Beep Bo Beep" and also SHINee's "Ring Ding Dong". (Seunghyun was most into it, rushing to the front to dance and sing).

They were suggested to act spoilt/throw a tantrum~~ (Jaejin was standing with the MC, but the MC let him go over to the others). Hongki performed Jeremy's phrase "Ah! So cold!" [T/N: I don't remember exact phrase he said in the drama]. Jonghun copied and said it four times (which lead to explosive reactions as it was even crazier than Hongki's original version)

The two teams chose paper cups, using the fruit inside to decorate the cake.

The five lucky fans that were selected went on stage to ask for wishes from the members. One asked Minhwan to sing, another even asked Hongki for a kiss... There wasn't enough time to grant wishes for the last two fans, so they received two small cakes that the members had made earlier on.

Each member chose a note which had a topic on it, such as "Japan", "newcomer" etc, and they each said their thoughts about their chosen topic.

Lastly the birthday party and fanmeeting ended. The staff members unexpectedly announced a high five event, so all fans queued up to "high five" with the members~~

[news] FT Island Electrifies Manila Fans

MANILA - Five-member boy band FT Island held a concert in the Philippines Saturday night and electrified the audience with their songs.

About 4,000 fans went to SpinManila's FT Island Manila 2010 Showcase held at the Plenary Hall of the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.

The Showcase is part of the group's Asian promotional tour which kicked off in Tokyo, Japan, last January. The group also hit Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore.

"The Showcase was worth it. They were really great," said 18-year-old Elaine Fernandez, a fan of the band.

FT Island performed songs from their albums including "Raining," "Primadonna," "I Hope" and "FT Island". The audience screamed their approval when lead singer Lee Hong-ki sang "Still," a cut from the official soundtrack of the SBS teen drama "You're Beautiful".

A day before the concert, 50 fans got the chance to meet the members of FT Island up close and personal in an exclusive session held at Marriott Hotel in Manila.

The boy band also performed live on "Showtime,'' a popular talent search TV show on ABS-CBN.

At the press conference last Friday, FT Island revealed their plan for the rest of the year.

Answering a question from The Korea Times, Lee Hong-ki said they will be focusing more on the Japanese music market and returning to South Korea in the latter part of 2010.

After the Philippines, FT Island will end their Asian tour in Shanghai on March 12 and then fly to Japan where they will hold a fan meeting on March 28.

FT Island will launch a new single in Japan on May 19 in a major debut under Warner Music Japan.

Their fourth album, "So Long, Au Revoir," which was released last December, ranked sixth on Japan's Oricon Top 10 weekly indie albums chart in January this year.

FT Island will also launch a new Korean album in the second half of the year after their activities in Japan.

This is the group's second visit to the Philippines. They flew to Cebu in September last year to film the music video for "Love Letter", a song by subgroup FT Triple on their "Double Date" album that was released last October.

During their visit, typhoon Ketsana hit the Philippines making it difficult for the band to film the music video. Close to 500 people died in the Philippines due to the adverse weather.

FT Island member Lee Jae Jin said they found it difficult to film the video due to the weather. He said every time they went out to shoot, it would start raining, forcing them to stay inside their van most of the time.

Filipino fans will see more of Hong-ki when ABS-CBN airs "You're Beautiful" in the Philippines. The TV station bought the rights to the drama series from SBS last year.

Hongki told the Philippine press that he still keeps in touch with his co-stars in the drama series as they have become friends. He denied that he was interested in actress Park Shin-hye, who played Go Mi Nam/Go Mi Nyu in the series.

"(We're) just good friends," Hongki said.

Besides Hongki and Jae Jin, the other members of the group are Choi Min-hwan, Choi Jong-hun and Song Seung-hyun, who replaced Oh Won-bin last year.

The quiet Seung-hyun said he was grateful to the other members for accepting him into the group.

He said the band members were nice to him and encouraged him when he had a hard time catching up with the group.

On the other hand, Jae Jin, who starred in the Korean musical "Sonagi" last year, said he wants to do more musicals. He is particularly interested in doing the musical "Grease" in which he wants to play the lead role of Danny Zuko.

FT Island debuted in 2007 with their album "Cheerful Sensibility" that sold 80,000 copies, making it the sixth most successful album in Korea for that year.

Since their debut, FT Island has won numerous awards. In 2007, they won Best New Male Group at the Mnet/KM Music Festival, the Anycall Popularity and Best New Artist awards at the Golden Disk Awards and Best New Group at the Asia Song Festival.

In 2008, the boy band was named Rookie of the Year at the 17th Seoul Music Awards and Best Male Group at the Korean Entertainment Awards.

Last year, they won the Best Male Singer Award and the Top 10 Singer Award at the Korean Entertainment Awards.

Korean flower-boy band FT Island raised a wave of extreme popularity on their first visit to Taiwan, and their images during the six-day trip was also constantly changing. Offstage, lead singer Lee Hongki has the most perception of fashion and constantly plays stylist in their dormitory, often helping his members put outfits together.

During their concert, the five-member band put on a good show, emphasizing on FT Island’s real talent, and that they were not just any “idol boyband”. But when it comes to their title of “flower-boys”, all of them had positive reactions to that, stating that it was a compliment of their looks, and there are lots of goodies from being a flower-boy.

Hongki, who had a big popularity rise after his role in [You’re Beautiful], announced proudly that “because of me, Jonghun has gotten lots of good stuff!” Jonghun agreed in response, “It’s true, when you go out with him you don’t usually have to spend any money. You get food and other stuff for free most of the time, so when I go out I have to bring Hongki with me.”

In FT Island, both Hongki and Jonghun admitted that they are the ones who love shopping the most. Hongki likes dark colour schemes, and cannot resist anything with skull designs on them. Jonghun, on the other hand, prefers clean and classic styles.

Jaejin, the one who always gives a treat and is the most knowledgeable about saving up, actually does not spend much on clothes at all. He said, “I just wear whatever I see in front of me when I wake up everyday. So Hongki usually puts together something for me first.”

Seunghyun also exposed that Minhwan always wears the same clothes, because he washes them after he wears them, then wears them and washes them again in a constant cycle. The 4-D boy also said, “I like formal, branded clothing, and looking like a rich bachelor.”

However, Hongki stepped in to remind him: “But there is nothing branded in your closet!”

If someone dressed like that confessed to me, I would probably reject her immediately and run away.”

As for their girlfriends, the five boys once again had the same answer: “Nope, definitely no showing of skin!”

[NEWS] FT Island’s Lee Hong Ki asks Taiwanese fans to marry him!

On February 28th, Korean boyband FT Island arrived in Taiwan for their concert.

To ensure that they would be in top form, they ate a Korean cuisine and had massage sessions before returning to the hotel immediately. The five members performed 18 songs to 2500 fans waving yellow flags, which seemed to like lead singer Lee HongKi the most.

When he sang “Marry Me”, asking if his fans would marry him, excited fans screamed “Yes”! During leader Choi Jonghoon’s performance onstage, HongKi suddenly went offstage among the fans to shake hands with them, causing the crowd to lose control.

The excited fans refused to leave the concert venue after the show ended, causing FT Island to reappear on stage to promise them a bigger and better performance next time, before they would contentedly leave.

F.T. Island arrived in Taiwan on the 26th for a 6-day promotion tour that included a concert at the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. Although it was their first visit, over 500 fans welcomed them while the airport authority arranged for 30 security staffs to protect them. The members looked energetic and have 25 scheduled appearances planned for the 6 days visit.

F.T. Island enjoying their bubble-tea, but leader Choi Jong Hoon was apparently more thirsty than the others...

At the press conference, lead singer Lee Hong-Ki didn’t hold back from revealing “secrets” of the other members. He claimed they are idiots when it comes to dancing, and said leader Choi Jong Hoon can’t even sing well despite being a skilled guitar player. Last but not least, he revealed member Lee Jae Jin’s “biggest problem” is that he likes girls too much.

F.T. Island performed 18 songs in their concert at the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall yesterday, including "Still" from the drama You're Beautiful. They sang other songs including “Missing You”, “Bad Woman”, “Love Must Have Come”, followed by “First Kiss” in English and “Raining” in Japanese. After showing off their foreign language skills, Lee Hong Ki said he had wanted to study English before coming to Taiwan. His fellow members surprised the audience by responding in Chinese, “That’s all right(沒關係)!”. They continued on with performing “Bing Bing Bing” and “Let’s Get Married”. At the end of the show, the members thanked their fans and Lee Hong Ki said, “This time we didn’t prepare enough songs for the encore. (We) will sing 40 songs the next time we come.”

FT Island had their first visit to Hong Kong on the 16th. Hundreds of fans have even waited the night before at the airport, eager to catch a glimpse their idols. The five boys’ arrival caused great uproar and excitement, but the boys exhibited their friendliness and manners by waving to the fans before exiting the airport.

FT Island held a fan meeting and over 200 fans gathered at the scene. They held a draw and the lucky winners were allowed to ask them questions. One fan shyly asked if she could hug them, and she successfully hugged Lee JaeJin.

Afterwards, another fan asked if they ever tried showering together, they replied, “Sometimes. We have clips of that on our cell phones… you guys are so disturbing!” When HongKi was asked if he had a girlfriend or not, HongKi laughed and exclaimed, “You girls are all my girlfriends!”

Yesterday South Korean group FT Island help activities in Hong Kong. Lee Hong Ki revealed that the five members have showered together, even recording a video of it on their mobile phone!

Korean drama "You're Beautiful star Lee Hong Ki, last night with FT Island members flew to Hong Kong, attracting close to a hundred fans holding banners. During the same time there were a group of Shaolin monks arriving, the fans mistook them for idols and were crazily screaming. Later the five left the restricted area and friendly waved to the fans.

[News] HK fans mistaken Shaolin monks for FT Island

More Korean stars arrived in Hong Kong as FT Island touched down at the HK International Airport yesterday. Over a hundred screaming fans with signs and banners welcomed the boy band's arrival. When a group of Shaolin monks arrived shortly before FT Island, fans mistaken them for their idols and started screaming like crazy. After the real FT Island arrived, the group members greeted fans with a friendly wave.

FT Island held a press conference to meet with the media yesterday. Member Song Seung Hyunentertained the audience by attempting to say “Hello” in Cantonese, he said “Nei Lou” instead “Nei ho” (Hello). When asked about their favorite Asian stars, the members named Jay Chou, Jacky Chan,Stephen Chow, and added that they have seen Stephen Chow’s Shaolin Soccer. Song Seung Hyun said some fans pulled their hair when they were promoting in Singapore, while Lee Hong Kicomplimented the well-behaved HK fans. The members spent their New Year’s Day together and Lee Hong Ki revealed that he received a lot of chocolate for Valentine’s Day.

Following the press conference, FT Island held a fan meeting with over 200 fans. Lee Hong Ki said he currently doesn’t have a girlfriend and joked that the fans are his girlfriends. When asked if he had taken showers with other members before, he said, “Once in awhile. There are videos of it on (my) cell phone too!” The organizers arranged several lucky fans to shake hands and take pictures with their idols. Chaos broke out and the event almost had to be canceled. Besides meeting with fans, the members also performed songs from the Korean drama You are Beautiful. Lee Hong Ki said he has learned a lot from working with costar Jang Geun Suk.
