Rain has been chosen as the best Hallyu star in Vietnam.
According to KBS on 16th February, Rain has been voted #1 by Vietnamese viewers in a survey done through KBS’s international broadcasting in Vietnam.
The survey was done from last December all the way till end of January on KBS World’s homepage to Vietnamese viewers on the best Hallyu star in Vietnam. A total of 386 viewers took part in the survey.
Rain was voted #1 with 46 votes, and So Nyeo Shi Dae follows behind at #2 with 26 votes.

2NE1 is up #1 with their new song ‘Try To Be Like Me’ on Monkey3 weekly chart for the 2nd week of February (8th~14th February).
With 2NE1’s sudden appearance as #1 on the chart, So Nyeo Shi Dae’s ‘Oh’ which has been #1 up on the chart for the past 2 weeks goes down 1 position to the #2 spot. And the song ‘Star Star Star’ by So Nyeo Shi Dae which was #4 last week slides down 6 positions to be at #10.
A Monkey3 official said, “2NE1’s strong personality has surpassed the cheerleader concept by the So Nyeo Shi Dae.”
2NE1 also surpassed many strong ballad singers. Min KyungHoon who was from Buzz is #5 on the chart with his solo song ‘Because It Hurts, It is love”, K Will’s new song for SBS drama ‘Obstetrics and Gynecology OST’ rose up 45 positions to be at #6 position. Kim JongKook’s ‘This Person’ also rose up 1 position to take the #8 spot.
The Monkey3 music enterprise team leader Lee JungKyu commented, “We are expecting to see 2NE1 ‘Try To Be Like Me’, release without any preview, continue to gain popularity. And many eyes are on how the showdown between 2NE1 and So Nyeo Shi Dae on the charts will turn out.”

Korea is like my second home. He said, "both Thailand and Korean feel like my home" as he revealed the same strong affection for both countries.
On the 15th at the Thailand Radisson Plaza Hotel, "Let's Take a Break" fan club trip to Phucket with Nichkhun meeting was held.
Here, Nichkhun said, "In Thailand, my family is here and so it's warm and happy. And in Korea, the people that are like family are his (2PM) members, office (JYPE) family, and fans and so he's also happy there."
Nichkhun expressed gratitude to the Korean fans who showed love and interest in him even as a foreigner.
"I came from a different country, so it's so fascinating to see how much love I receive. To show my gratitude, my desire to work even harder has grown. I will work harder in the future." What he shared got a lot of attention.
Nichkhun, the Thai American, came to Korean 4 years ago to become a singer. Now, he's a member of a popular group doing activities. But when he was younger, because he was shy and had a quiet personality, they couldn't have imagined him singing on stage with so many people watching him.
"When I was young, I couldn't even sing in front of my father and mother. Now my father looks a me says that I'm doing well and has asked me to show him my good work," he shared.
Nichkhun, again, shared that he would like to travel to Phucket with his 2PM members. "The members really love the beach, if there's a chance, I really want to come to Phucket with the members." He never forgot his love for his (2PM) members.

A present given to GDragon by a fan has attracted many netizens’ attention lately.

MBLAQ's Idol Army Episode 10 Preview is finally out and you wouldn't expect what this guys gonna do this time! Well the thing is, they are just going to do a parody of Dara and Lee Minho's Kiss MV.
Thunder will do the part and dress up like his sister Dara and Lee Joon curled his hair because he will act the part of Lee Minho.

After getting embroiled in plagiarism controversy, Korean boy band C.N.Blue is again at the center of another issue.
Netizens decry the violent attacks done by C.N.Blue’s manager against a female fan who tried to get a glimpse of the boy band as they alighted from a van last February on their way to the rehearsal for the KBS TV program “Music Bank”.
Manila Bulleting Entertainment Online got a copy of the five-second video of the attacks.
In the video, the fans are shown standing around the van as C.N.Blue members were getting off from the vehicle one by one. Suddenly, the manager started flinging his arm and hitting anyone within his range.
The video has shocked fans and earned the ire of many netizens who severely criticized the manager for acting violently against the poor fan.
“That was a big too much for the manager to do. He's not only making himself look bad but also C.N.Blue,” one fan wrote on K-pop forum, Soompi.
After the video surfaced online, FNC Music, C.N.Blue’s agency, issued an apology and explanation over the incident.
According to the agency, the incident happened in the afternoon of February 11 at the KBS parking lot in Seoul. It said the manager had asked the fans to give way for the boy band so they could get inside the KBS building because C.N.Blue was already running late for the rehearsals.
FNC Music said that as the members were getting off the van, one female fan pulled the hood of C.N.Blue member Lee Jonghyun’s jacket that he almost tripped. This was when the manager started the violent act against the fan.
FNC Music has apologized for the incident, adding that the manager will be held responsible for the what happened, and that other managers will be educated to prevent a repeat.
As for some netizens' claim that the video showed Jongyhun laughing at his manager’s display of violence, FNC Music clarified that Jonghyun did so only because he almost fell when the fan tugged his jacket.
The agency said that based on the video, Jonghyun could not have seen his manager acting violently since his line of vision was being blocked by the hood of his jacket.
And it's not true that Lee Jonghyun was smiling during the violence, FNC Music said.
C.N.Blue debuted in South Korea last month with their mini-album “Bluetory.” The group is composed of Lee Jonghyun, Jung Yonghwa, Kang Minhyuk and Lee Jungshin.

2PM Nichkhun Sandwiched With Father, Mother, Younger Sister, in a Souvenir Picture
For Korea, of course 2PM's Nichkhun was selected in 2009 as the Pan-Asian ambassador to Thailand by his high popularity. He left on February 13th for a 5 day 3 night holiday with fans to Phucket.
"Let's Take a Break," The fan club with Nichkhun, on the morning of the second day, February 15th, Nichkhun introduced the Thai traditional martial art Muay Thai to the fans, and they had a chance to try it.
Tourism Authority of Thailand sponsored a national event to host this trip. Nichkhun, as the appointed ambassador for Thailand, filmed a CF that introduced the diverse and interesting Thai culture for the public to experience.
Their schedule with Nichkhun includes visits to the spa, city tours, and is of course a special time with Nichkhun. Even family travelers are able to experience the variety in Thai culture and will be a memorable time.

He posted up photos on his minihompy on 16th February in a post titled ‘Enjoyable new year^^’. The photos featured his trip to the amusement park.
He wrote, “On the first day of the lunar new year holidays, we went to LotteWorld.. We rode on the viking ride and the gyro drop frenzy revolution. We also took photos.ㅋㅋ”

2PM's Wooyoung revealed an experience where he cried due to Park Jinyoung's harsh critiques.
The members of 2PM will be making their first talk show debut on KBS 2TV's 'Win Win.' 2PM revealed the stories of how they came to who they are today, their tears, their efforts, and their laughter.
Before their debut, 2PM had received the track 'Only You' from producer Park Jinyoung. The members of 2PM suffered while practicing this track. Especially Wooyoung, he had cried because of how hard it was.
Wooyoung stated, "I tried so hard night and day but in Park Jinyoung's strict eyes, it wasn't enough. Eventually, I had to get yelled at every day from Monday to the weekends."
He went on to state, "I was in the training room by myself on the piano trying to match up the notes. All of a sudden, my emotions came swelling up inside of me and I ended up crying."
The members added their own stories, saying, "In order to help him feel better, we bought him ice cream. He would accept the ice cream and return to his normal self, as if he had never cried at all."
Lead vocals Junsu and Junho stated that Nichkhun had grown the most talent wise and sang a short piece to Nichkhun's piano performance.
