[News] FT Island Taiwan Concert Tickets Sold Out Within 1 Hour

According to the Taiwan media, Korean boyband FT Island will be holding their first concert in Taiwan on 27th February 2010.

Ticket sales started yesterday at ERA Ticket and a total of 2,500 tickets were sold out within an hour. Their level of popularity was totally unexpected, even by the local fans.

As tickets were quickly snapped up, many fans who were unable to get their tickets to the concert, requested for an additional concert date.

Currently, the event organiser “Trend Tone Net” is checking the possibility of an additional concert date with the Korean liaison. 

FT Island debuted in 2007 and their debut album “Cheerful Sensibility” had a total sales of 90,000 copies so far.

[News] 2PM's Stylist Revealed

The zombie style of 2PM has lately been receiving a lot of attention.

The style has been revealed to be the concept of Project Runway Korea winner Lee Wookyung, shown on last April through cable channel Onstyle. After the show, Lee Wookyung received a contract offer from JYPE and is now the 'style director' of all of the singers under the agency.

An associate stated "Lee Wookyung worked with producer JYP to come up with the concept and completed what is known now as the zombie style. A lot of people expressed positive opinions on her work."

Lee Wookyung had reveived a lot of love calls from the fashion world after her win in Project Runway Korea. Eventually, she chose JYPE and displayed the zombie style as her first experimental style of work. She plans to continually work with JYP artists and style each of their future outfits.

Franky is the shipwright. He likes showing off his muscles.

One of Korea’s big entertainment agency, YG Entertainment, well-known through popular idol artists such as Big Bang, Seven, and 2NE1, falls into another crisis.

Currently, 3 people and Mr. Park are being kept in the police station for stealing the payments of the stars under YG Entertainment, including, Big Bang and 2NE1. The amount totals up to about 2,500,000 dollars.

These people who had been working in YG Entertainment as managers starting taking the money since 2004 and including last year, they were able to continually take money from the big business for 4 years eventually totaling up to 2,500,000 dollars. Other than that, they are also known to have used the money for personal investing fees in stocks and also for their daily lifestyle.

In addition, the three club owners who are acquaintances with Yang HyunSeok were currently also were indicted on charges of tax violations. Since 2005, Mr. Lim, Mr. Ji, and Mr. Kim were violating the laws by having the admission to the club receive a cash point using a deliberate omission in cash sales according to the police.

[News] 3 employees under YG Ent suspected of embezzling 2.5 billion KRW of concert fees

It was revealed on 1st December that 3 employees from YG Entertainment, which singers Big Bang and 2NE1 are under, were found to have embezzled 2.5billion KRW of the agency singers’ concert fees.

According to Criminal Division 4 of Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Officesaid that the 3 employees have been charged on non-restraint. The 3 employees were working as managers in YG and have been accused of stealing about 2.5billion KRW worth of the singers’ concert fees for their own pleasure, living expenses and for investment.

In addition, 3 club representatives – Im (37), Ji (40), Kim (39) – with relations with YG Entertainment’s owner Yang HyunSeok have been charged with tax violations. This 3 have in the period of the past 4 years deliberately avoid tax payments of up to 1 billion KRW after using the club’s registration fees etc for their own use.

This was after months of secret investigation by the IRS on YG.

[News] SNSD Awarded 'Teen Musical Artist' Award

SNSD was awarded a 'Korean Cultural Entertainment' award.

They were awarded at the '17th Korean Cultural Entertainment Awards'
on the 30th of November from 5pm at Seoul, YeoUiDo 63 City Hall.
The 'Adult Music' award went to Jang YoonJung.

The ceremony was hosted by singer and composer Jung WonSoo,
singer Ha MyungJi, 2007 Miss Korea Park GaWon, MC Shin YoungIl and celebrity Han DaMin.

SNSD won the 'Teen Musical Artist' award, along with FT Island, NoRaJo and
performed a celebratory concert.

Song SeungHun was awarded the 'Talent' award. Kim NamJoo was awarded
the high distinction 'Talent' award.

Yoon SangHyun and Yoon SungEun received excellence awards, Lim JooHwan
and Cho SeungJoon won the 'Male Newcomer' awards, Yoo HaNa and Cho JungSun
won the 'Female Newcomer' award. JinHyuk, director of SBS 'Glory of the Family'
won the 'Drama Director' award.

In the film category Sul KyungGoo was bathed in glory as he won the excellence award.
SooAe was the runner up, JinGoo and Choo JaHyun won the 'Male Female Couple' award,
Kim NamGil and Park BoYoung won the 'Newcomer' awards. Kim YongHwa director of
'National athlete' won the 'Director' award.

Kim ByungMan and Jung JooRi won the highest 'Comedian' award, Heo KyungHwan
and Han MinKwan won excellence awards. Oh NaMee won the 'Newcomer' award.
