As reported in an earlier article, SNSD was attacked at a recent event in Vietnam by fans who ran on stage and hugged the girls (Jessica, Yoona and Hyoyeon to be exact). However, did Yoona's UFO reply to a fan cause this incident?

A recent post on Yoona's UFOTown was found where she responded to a fan. On October 11th, a fan asked Yoona, "Yoona noona! I wanna do the Jessica noona's kiss scene. keke is there any way?" Yoona responded by saying, "Go run onto the stage. keke." Check out the screenshot of the reply below!



So what do you guys think? Random coincidence or did Yoona really cause the fan to run up on stage to hug Jessica?

The 6 membered group Beast's members Jang Hyunseung and Yoon Doojoon gave their messages of thanks to 2PM and Big Bang.

Through an interview held on the 20th through Star News, they were able to express their thanks.

Yoon Doojoon stated "I've always kept in close contact with 2AM and 2PM. Even after my elimination, they've always treated me nicely."

"On the 18th's Inkigayo, I met Taecyeon and Wooyoung hyung. It felt so different. They told me not to be nervous and gave me encouragement."

6인조 신인 남성그룹 비스트의 두 멤버 윤두준과 장현승이 2PM과 빅뱅에 각각 고마운 마음을 전했다.

윤두준은 2AM과 2PM 멤버들이 출연했던 케이블채널 Mnet '열혈남아'에, 장현승은 빅뱅의 데뷔 전 모습을 담은 케이블채널 MTV '빅뱅'을 통해 각 그룹 멤버들과 친분을 쌓았다.

이에 두 사람은 지난 20일 머니투데이 스타뉴스와 인터뷰를 통해 비스트의 데뷔를 응원해 준, 이제는 선배그룹이 된 2PM과 빅뱅 지드래곤에게 거듭 "고맙다"고 말했다.

윤두준은 "2AM, 2PM 멤버들과 자주 연락했었다"며 "'열혈남아' 탈락 후에도 멤버들이 계속 잘 대해줬었다"고 말했다.

윤두준은 "지난 18일 SBS '인기가요' 첫 방송 때 택연이형, 우영이형을 만났는데 감회가 남다르더라"며 "형들이 떨지 말고 잘 하라고 격려해줬다"며 고마워했다.

[news] Reason to why Lee Hyori took 8 years to graduate from college

On the 23rd, MBC every1’s “STAR the Secret” will broadcast why it took such a long time for Hyori to become a graduate of Kookmin University.

Before Fin.K.L debuted, Hyori passed the test that only accepted 40 out of 2600 people that applied. With a ratio of 65:1, Hyori successfully entered the performing arts department of Kookmin University. [news] Onew performed Clockwork

Remember that beautiful song f(x)’s Luna covered on a radio program not too long ago? It’s been done again by Onew on Taeyeon’s Chin Chin radio today.

Originally, Clockwork is a very powerful ballad but Onew sang the song with his signature velvet soft vocal and made it his own. This boy isn’t called On-Yu (soft/gentle) for no reason. He was always on the pitch and did a good job improvising.

Because both of them did the cover so close, I can’t help comparing Luna and Onew on this. I tried, I really did. But I just can’t help it. I’m not going to say which version I like better because I think they did equally good in their own quality. While Onew is better at controlling his pitch, Luna sang this song with more power.

Do I wish Onew would force more power in his singing? No, because I like his soft vocal. You don’t always have to sound like the original to make it sound beautiful. Plus, everybody sounds better in their own comfort zone. As for Luna’s control, I think it’ll come with time and I’m not rushing. She’s still very young and is only a rookie. It’ll be interesting to see her in a few years from now.

[news] SS2 in Shanghai was a success

Korean idol group Super Junior successfully wrapped up their concert in Shanghai, according to their agency on Monday.

“THE 2nd ASIA TOUR ‘SUPER SHOW 2′ in Shanghai”, held at a fully-packed Pudong Yuanshen Sports Center on October 18, was attended by 12,000 fans, SM Entertainment said in a press release.

The concert featured their hit songs including “U”, “Don’t Don”, “Sorry Sorry”, performances by the group’s sub-units — Super Junior-K.R.Y, Super Junior-T, Super Junior-M — and solo performances by individual members.

The idol group sang a total of 36 songs, including a parody of “Gee”, a hit song by K-pop girl band Girls’ Generation.

“It has been about a year since we came to Shanghai, and we are glad and grateful that our Chinese fans have been so welcoming,” the idol group was quoted as saying. “We ask for your great hopes and support for the rest of the Asia Tour.”

Super Junior’s concert was also the official opening performance for the 11th Shanghai International Art Festival, a major event hosted by China’s Ministry of Culture. The festival, which runs til November 18, features 55 art performances from all over the world in theater, dance and exhibition.

The boy band received a medal of appreciation from the city of Shanghai for their participation in the festival and for their contribution in the cultural exchange between Korea and China.

Super Junior, composed of 13 members, has been one of the most popular K-pop acts in Asia since their debut in 2005.

[news] Changmin’s book tops charity auction

DBSK’s youngest, 21-year old ‘Choikang/Max’ Changmin is participating in Lotte’s ‘The 4th’s Stars’ Most Treasured Campaign’ event that auctions off stars’ treasured used goods on the Lotte website in an effort to raise money for From Care, a Korean animal protection association which aids in giving proper food to neglected animals.
This event is the second official auction in a four-part series, the first of which ended on October 15th. Alongside Changmin, other notable stars Super Junior’s Leeteuk, Rain, Wonder Girls‘ Sunye and Yoobin, Yoon Eun-hye, T-ara, 2PM’s Nichkhun, and Lee Junki have also put up items for auction.

Changmin’s Japanese practice book, entitled “Minna No Nihonggo Shokyu” has reached the top auction position with a current price of 1,464,600 won–around $1250USD. Coming next in line is Lee Junki’s pants, at 800,800 won, or around$680USD.

It is said that the Japanese book also contains traces of Changmin’s handwriting. His signature also appears to grace the cover.

Alongside the auction, Lotte is also simultaneously conducting the ‘Thermometer of Love’ event, in which every 50 ‘love messages’ written will save 1 bag of animal food. At this time, over 156,000 netizens participated in the event, which has thus provided for 313 bags of animal food.

It’s pretty much unnecessary to note on the utter craziness that is spending over a thousand dollars on an old Japanese workbook, but when charity comes into question, you can’t really say anything. Nevertheless, it’s nice to see all these stars coming together for a good cause–and the fans that will go to the greatest heights to support these causes (or their insatiable fangirling habits; take your pick.)
This round of auctions will be ending tomorrow. The subsequent round of auctions will commence on the 23rd.

[news] Passionate Kissing Scene in 'Iris' Steals Spotlight

The kissing scene between two top stars--Lee Byung-hun and Kim Tae-hee--in the TV drama "Iris" made headlines shortly after the drama went on the air, recording viewer ratings of over 20 percent.

In the October 15 episode, Hyun-joon (Lee Byung-hun) and Sa-woo (Chung Jun-ho) were scouted as spy agents for the top national intelligence service. After undergoing a harsh testing process, the pair learned about the agency only after the tests were over. But they were displeased to realize that the whole process was carried out without informing them in advance whatsoever.

Hyun-joon, who fell in love with Seung-hee (Kim Tae-hee) at first sight, was more than just outraged; he felt betrayed. He was deeply disappointed to learn that Seung-hee had approached him in order to bring him to her agency.

But the last thing he would do was give up. He deliberately showed interest in her, and during their first dinner together he lured her to a spot where no surveillance cameras were installed and demanded that she apologize. But what he really wanted was not an apology but to know what Seung-hee had on her mind.

However, Seung-hee refused to apologize and only said that Hyun-joon behaved in a macho manner in order to conceal his painful past. She was apparently displeased with his pretentious behavior. But her remark only further aggravated Hyun-joon, and he ended up kissing Seung-hee while she was making her eloquent speech.

Startled, Seung-hee slapped Hyun-joon but it was of little help in stopping Hyun-jun. She finally gave in and accepted his kiss. Such passionate kissing scenes are hard to see on small-screen shows. The kiss will likely add passion to the relationship between the two characters and become the reason behind Sa-woo's betrayal.

Since its premiere on October 14, "Iris" recorded viewer ratings of over 20 percent, beating its rivals airing during the same time slot on other TV channels. The only TV drama to post viewer ratings of over 20 percent in the last year was "Again, My Love," which ended in April.

But unfortunately the background music of "Iris" doesn't seem to match the "blockbuster" status of the drama, and the same could be said of its somewhat weak storyline.

KBS 2TV's tv show 'Saturday Night' will feature ex member 2PM member Park Jaebum's life in Seattle, America.

[news] Goo Hye Sun’s Directed 7th AISFF Trailer Released

According to the official from the 7th “Asiana International Short Film Festival” on 20th October, Goo Hye Sun’s directed trailer will be shown before all screenings from 5th November till the last day of the film festival on 10th November.

For the making of this trailer, Goo Hye Sun has spent one month’s time in September writing the scenario herself, meeting up personally with the filming crew and doing the liaison. She has shown well-made preparations for this project.

The completed trailer triggers on many people’s intriguing point for love. Inside the trailer, it shown the male lead appearing outside of the television and the female lead who appeared inside the TV, eventually emerged as the hero. It reflects on the trailer theme on “love-hate relationship between humans and the media”, which also refers to and represents the love relationship between man and woman.
