Our Hyaku… didn’t drink water once since he came home..
While~ I was thinking that babies just don’t drink…
It crossed my mind.. that maybe they just don’t know how to drink..
In the end, he went into training again…
As expected.. there was something he didn’t know..
However..

Hyaku was a genius.. I showed him once and he picked it up perfectly so fast..he’s drinking well now!
He made me so surprised because I praised him and he drank water without stopping for 5 minutes..
I knew he would become a hippo..;;;;;;

How-to-drink-water training came to an end like this too..

[news] Super Junior selected with the Best Introduction

Super Junior was selected as the group with the best introduction on KBS Enetertainment Relay broadcasted on the 14th.

Heo EunAh, President for Korea’s Association of Image Consultants International mentioned “During introduction, action speak louder than words, When you use the palm it helps 84% of the time, the back of the hand 52% and fingers 28%” and “therefore Super Junior’s ‘We are Super Junior’ is the best introduction.”

Professor Heo EunAh said: there’s an effect of letting one remember by arousing one’s curiosity” and “there is rhythm so you won’t get tired of listening and you feel like you want to listen to it again” says it all.

[news] Chinese Cassiopeia Plan to Create Their Own Concert?

I’m sure that everyone knows about the cancellation of the ShenZhen concert. During these times of doubt, our team has been thinking of a way to lesson everyone’s suffering and lift their spirits. There’s no need for more words, only determination and faith, along with the phrase, “We are always standing by TVXQ”. With these thoughts in mind, we came to an idea. Though the venue will decrease in size, though there won’t be fancy lights and blasting speakers, though there will be no sight of our boys….there will be a unity of loving hearts singing and shining in place of our boys. My fellow sisters, would you like to attend this type of concert?
A lot of our sisters have brought plane tickets which they can no longer refund. We refuse to let those tickets go in vain. Even though you may not see our boys, we would like to create an unforgettable memory. So, we would like to propose an idol-less concert full of love.

VENUE: A stadium in Shenzhen (we are currently searching, however, since we don’t have a staff who lives in Shenzhen, if anyone has a recommendation, please contact us at tvxqbar@qq.com)
TIME: November 21st, 7pm
ORGANIZATION: 百度东方神起吧 (TVXQ Baidu)

We will announce the door prices based on the venue we have found. We hope that everyone could be understanding. Drinks and snacks will be prepared and our “Stand by you” project will be released as well. We will arrange by the door for everyone to leave a message to the boys. We will then mail the recordings of this ‘fan event’ along with all the messages to the boys.

To put it simply, this is more like a huge fan event, we just hope that everyone could find a silver lining out of the disaster regarding the Shenzhen concert. We want to show the boys that, “See, we can wait for you. Even if you can’t make it here, we can still have fun. So don’t worry about us, just focus on your own happiness!”
The event’s theme will be the same as their concert. We can still sing together and cheer together. We will broadcast the PV we prepared for 6 month, the Chinese version of ‘Proud’. This was originally planned to be included in the 6th anniversary of this forum, consider it an early gift.

We need to inform everyone that since this announcement was very sudden, our own sources are also limited. We are not sure if this event will succeed, but we promise everyone, that we will do our very best.
We are currently working on the details now, if there are any good advice at all, please email us at tvxqbar@qq.com

[news] The Korean pop invasion

MANILA, Philippines - It seems anything Korean or commonly known as the hallyu wave is in these days. From soap operas, restaurants to beauty products, Korean culture has won the Filipinos’ hearts. Who could forget Koreanovelas like the Endless Love series, Lovers in Paris, Full House and Stairway to Heaven?

Not to be outdone is the Korean music, better known as Kpop. Thanks to YouTube, Korean cable TV and music download, Filipinos are exposed to Korea’s finest singers and groups. As a Kpop follower, I came up with a list of eight Kpop singers and groups many Filipinos are familiar with and will hear from in the future.

BoA — One of South Korea’s top female singers. She has topped the charts in Korea, Japan and released an album in the US. She collaborated with western artists such as Westlife and Howie Dorough of the Backstreet Boys and was cited as an Influential Artist in the 2004 MTV Asia Awards.

2NE1 — With Sandara Park (known as the Pambansang Krung-Krung) as one of its members, the group is fast becoming popular in the country thanks to songs such as Lollipop, Fire and I Don’t Care. Sandara, now known as Dara, released the song Kis featuring Lee Min Ho (Gu Jun Pyo of Boys Over Flowers) to promote Korean beer brand Cass.

Rain — Known to Filipino audience as Justin of the hit romantic-comedy Full House, Rain is Korea’s latest export in the international entertainment industry. He was cited by Time Magazine as one of the 100 “Most Influential People Who Shape the World Award” and People Magazine named him one of the Most Beautiful People in its “First-Time Beauties 2007” section. Aside from being a singer-actor, Rain heads his own company J. Tune Entertainment and dabbles in fashion with his clothing line Six to Five. He broke into Hollywood via Speed Racer and will be seen in the movie Ninja Assassin, produced by the Wachowski brothers, the duo behind The Matrix trilogy.

Wonder Girls — Filipinos by now could not stop singing the group’s hit song Nobody. With its catchy tune and ’60s theme music video, the Wonder Girls composed of Yubin, Yenny, Sohee, Sunye and Sunmi have invaded the US where they are now touring with the Jonas Brothers. Their song, Nobody, debuted in the Billboard charts last October, making them the first Korean group to do so.

SS501 —The group composed of Hyun Joong, Young Saeng, Jung Min, Kyu Joong and Hyung Jun debuted in 2005 with the song Warning and Snow Prince. They also invaded the Japanese music industry and even recorded a TV show SS501: The Mission. The group’s popularity further rose due to the show Boys Over Flowers which was aired all over Asia. In the show, Hyun Joong played the quiet, musically-inclined Yoon Ji-Hoo while three of the members performed the songs Because I am Stupid and Making A Lover, included in the Boys Over Flowers soundtrack. After a year and seven months hiatus, the group released the mini album Rebirth, and is currently touring Asia for their Persona Tour. Their single A Song Calling for You (LaLaLa) is in the Top 20 of MYX’s international charts.

Super Junior —They are considered the largest boyband with 13 members. They are one of the many Korean groups to go beyond singing and dancing with many of its members involved in acting and other activities such as anime voice recording. Although they have three albums, it was their third album Sorry, Sorry that brought them commercial success.

Shinee — Known as one of Korea’s R&B boybands, Shinee debuted in 2008 with mini-album Replay. The group has won many awards including the Best Newcomer at the 18th Seoul Music Awards and participated in various concerts including the Dream Concert in the Seoul Olympic Stadium alongside other groups such as Girl Generation, Wonder Girls and Super Junior last year. They also released the album The Shinee World and recorded songs like Stand By Me, included in the Boys Over Flowers soundtrack and Bodyguard, used for the promotion of Samsung’s Anycall mobile phone featuring Kim Bum and Kim So Eun. The group is also known for its fashion sense dubbed as the “Shinee trend,” which led to endorsements for Reebok and Korean Cosmetic Company Nana B. Filipino fans will get the chance to see the group when they perform in Manila this month at the Korean Culture Festival.

Girls Generation — Composed of nine female members, fans often refer them as SNSD which is short for the group’s Korean name So Nyeo Shi Dae or So Nyuh Shi Dae. Like other groups, the members of Girls Generation are trained in various aspects of the performing arts. Their second mini-album Tell Me Your Wish (Genie) was recently released with the song of the same name as its carrier single. The group also has its own TV series and endorses various products in Korea.

With the continued craving for anything Korean, Filipinos will continue to hear and see more Kpop artists in the coming years.

[news] Seo In Kook admits to once being Bulimic

MNet's Superstar K winner and singer of "Calling You," Seo In Kook, has admitted that he once had a eating disorder on SBS' Strong Heart.

Superstar K is the Korean version of American Idol and Seo In Kook was the first ever winner on it this past summer. He has quickly risen to fame just as Kelly Clarkson has in America and released the song "Calling You" which has been hovering on the top charts since its release.

He chose Strong Heart, aka "Nerves of Steel" to be the first talk show he appeared in. In it, he said that he auditioned for JYPE a couple times and each time, they would tell him to come back after he loses weight because he used to be chubby. He decided to go on a diet but his friends would always eat chicken which was his favorite food. He couldn't resist so then he would eat it and then feel guilty. Due to the guilt, he would throw it all back out. This came a habit and he started to throw up whenever he ate and it became so bad that he would automatically vomit after each meal without having to stick his finger down his throat.

He realised he had a problem when he went to another audition. Because he vomitted so much and his vocal chords were becoming damaged due to the stomach acid, five different tones came out of his voice at once. Yet again, he failed the audition but this time not due to his weight but due to his voice.

Now that he has made it thru Superstar K, he said that he wanted to show people the visions he mapped out in his head and asked the fans for their support.

Seo In Kook, with the recent exposure he's been getting has become pretty popuular in Korea and we wish him the best of luck. I myself, really enjoy his song and his voice. Not only that, his experience being brought up poor has built in him a unique strong character. Fighting Seo In Kook!

He talks about his eating disorder around 3:30

[video] The Heaven's Postman OST is slowly being revealed!

A new track from Heaven's Postman has just been released in high quality. How's the OST shaping up?
Pretty great.

Although there is no official tracklisting yet, lower quality versions of songs from DBSK and Jaejoong himself have been out for quite a while now. Just a while ago one new track from the soundtrack called "Rainy Sunday" sung by Z'ta was released in high quality. Although not extremely well-known around k-pop circles, Z'ta also did a song for Swallow the Sun called "Love Tears" and made tracks for numerous other drama soundtracks prior to this.

Can't wait to hear the other brilliant tracks!

[news] U-KISS gets kissed on the 07 SHOW in Thailand!

From crossdressers, getting asked out by older women, getting felt up after musical chairs... the U-KISS members seemed to really enjoy their time in Thailand. A few days before their recent comeback, the boys were in Thailand, holding fan meetings and mini-concerts. Check out their appeance on the "07 Show" where they also performed "Give It To Me" from their first single.

All I can say is "poor Eli." Haha

If this show looks familiar to some of you, Girls' Genertation, Baby Vox Re.v, Big Bang, and Wonder Girls are some of the artists who have appeared on this show in Thailand.

Dongho had a fever, which is why he was unable to be on the show. Alexander also had a fever during this trip and was actually taken to the hospital. Thankfully, they all recovered quickly and were able to fly back to Korea for their comeback stages.

This show was pretty funny, and it shows the popularity of U-KISS is growing even more. With apperances in China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Thailand, the boys have definitely been spreading their fan-base and success throughout Asia.

Watching the clips, you can't help but feel bad for Kevin who gets tossed around like a ragdoll and Soohyun who gets felt up. Their apperance on "07 Show" clearly says "Welcome to Thailand."

Soohyun and Xander seemed to enjoy Eli's kiss more than he did. Hahaha.

[news] A look into Jung Yong-hwa's character from TV series “Minamishineyo”

He’s the calm, rational, gentle one. His guitarist skill and his voice are incomparable. Though he’s not the leader of the group, he does carry that charismatic, gentle, ‘angelic’ side for Go Mi Nam in popular idol drama, “You’re Beautiful”

Guitarist of Korea’s most popular group A.N.JELL. The one who owns the legend of winning a scuffle against 17 guys during high school. The Shin-woo who appears out of nowhere when something happens to Go Mi-nam. This guy displayed his instinctive and genius wooing skills from the very first moment he met Mi-nam, saying “You… [Shin-woo lays a hand on Mi-nam's shoulder, looks her up and down quietly yet intently, flashes his killer smile and says] are Go Mi-nam?”

Shin-woo’s mental age surpasses that of leader Hwang Tae-kyung’s by about 20 years and is extremely considerate. When Mi-nam, who pretends to be a guy in the beginning of “Minamishineyo”, is stuck in the men’s changing room, Shin-woo helps her leave by placing a towel lightly over her head saying, “I can’t wash up if you’re here”. And rather than asking her out on a date directly, he will say, “Thank you for coming with me. I had really wanted to eat the food here.” But all the indirectness and concealing of emotions has only made his presence become less of a concern for Mi-nam. He will speak to himself while holding a gift for Mi-nam in his hands after she leaves him to take care of Tae-kyung, and speak to the wall after Tae-kyung looks after Mi-nam all night when she becomes sick.

Of course, like he says, it is for “the well-being of the group and to put Mi-nam’s mind at peace” but he himself soon regrets it. What good is it trying to appeal to her with lines such as “Someone who will like you no matter what? Right here. Whatever you do, I will always applaud you, praise you and smile for you. I make a pretty good fan, right?” The response he gets will be “You’re very warm-hearted, like the person who raised me,” meaning that Mi-nam associates him with the nun at church who raised her rather than seeing him as a real man. So his act of shouting out “This is my woman. The woman I had not been able to speak of!” while trying to stop Mi-nam from exposing her identity in front of reporters, is quite pitiful, even if he is the Shin-woo that the female viewers so dote on. So Kang Shin-woo, call me if you become disgruntled.
