[News] Super Junior Wows Malaysian Fans

KUALA LUMPUR: South Korean boyband Super Junior wowed 15,000 fans in an electrifying performance at their sell-out concert at Bukit Jalil Putra Stadium.

The boys belted out 35 songs in Korean, Mandarin and English during the three-hour-long concert on Saturday night, delighting fans with hits such as Who Am I, Super Girl, Shining Star, Sorry Sorry, Wonder Boy and Marry U.

Enthusiastic “ELFs” (short for Ever Lasting Friends used to refer to Super Junior fans) waved glowsticks in pearl sapphire blue – the boybands’ official colour – and screamed wildly throughout the show.

Some even camped out at the concert venue the previous night while others arrived hours before showtime.

All the concert props were flown in from South Korea and the special stage which cost the organisers some RM6mil to build offered the boyband more opportunities to interact with their fans.

Local Mandopop duo Thomas Jack and teen singer Iqwal served as the opening acts at the concert.

The concert marks Super Juniors third official visit to Malaysia.

They featured as guest performers at their label-mate TVXQs 1st Asia Tour in 2007 and were last here to attend the MTV Asia Awards 2008 as well as collect their award as Favourite Artiste (Korea).

The boyband also attended a brief press conference before the concert. Present were the 10 members of the group: Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun.

Debuting in 2005, Super Junior comprises 13 members, which makes them the biggest boyband in the world.

The boys have 19 releases to their name including studio and live albums as well as singles, compilations, soundtrack and various other collaborations.

The concert was organised by Redstar Presents and the event managed by Marctensia with SMEntertainment and Dream Maker as concert supervisors.

[News] DongHae visits Dominican Republic and Haiti

The other night, we, the members of MiroticWorld, a fan group of Korean Culture in Dominican Republic, heard some shocking news: DongHae from idol group Super Junior visited our country on the 26th of February with the casting of MBC Sunday Night Danbi and we did not know until the night before yesterday! They came to Santo Domingo to go to Haiti the next day. He was spotted in a famous Korean Restaurant of the capital city, where apparently he went to have dinner.

A Korean friend of ours took a picture with him, and that is all the proof we have. We feel hopeless after finding out, and the only thing that we can think now is: Dong Hae! There are fans here in DR that wanted to meet you!

Now at least we know something new about Dong Hae: he is kind enough to visit Haiti to help, and it came out from his sincere heart, because as it is obvious, they came in a difficult situation for that country. Thank you, Dong Hae and the team of Sunday Night Danbi for visiting and helping, even if we didn’t get a chance to see you at the restaurant where even we go sometimes to eat.

[News] Super Junior -Siwon kissed Heechul attracts attention

The K-pop community is abuzz over the kissing scene of Super Junior members Siwon and Heechul during their Super Show 2 Asia tour concert in Shanghai, China last March 7.
Fan cam videos of Siwon kissing Heechul on the lips during the show have surfaced on YouTube. Another video showed Heechul kissing Super Junior-M member Henry during the “Sonata of Temptation” performance.

Heechul is the kissing bandit in the group and has kissed other Super Junior members in concerts in the past.
Fans are amused by this so-called public display of affection.
“That was an awesome kiss. Heechul was always like this to the other members,” one fan commented on the Filipino fan forum http://forums.sjuph.org of the Super Junior United Philippines.
Fans are also hoping that Super Junior member Kangin would perform in the Manila concert. Kangin is on hiatus after his involvement in two incidents last year.

The next leg of the Super Show 2 will be Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on March 20. Filipino fans will finally get the chance to see the boy band on April 10 when they hold their concert at the Araneta Coliseum.
The Philippines will be Super Junior’s last stop for the Super Show 2 concert tour. Super Junior has been touring Asia for the last nine months—having kicked off in July last year in Seoul when they wrapped up promotions for the “Sorry Sorry” album.

From South Korea, the show went to Hong Kong, Shanghai, Bangkok, Nanjing, Beijing and Taipei.
Filipino fans are eagerly awaiting the boy band’s arrival and have been preparing surprises to welcome the group.

[News] Choi Siwon starring in Oh! My Lady is popular in China

The latest TV Show in SBS < Oh ! My Lady > which Choi Siwon from Super Junior had the main role for acting had became a topic in China .

Choi Siwon plays as a main guy character named Sung Min Woo. The character is a cold and cocky top star.
Siwon’s China Fans had made a lot of signs during Super Show 2 in Shanghai which held on the 6th of march . Those signs were showing Oh ! My Lady and Choi Siwon’s name in the act “Sung Min Woo”. Besides, there is also a lot of supporting material wonderfully made by Siwon’s fans . This had been an aid to the eyes .

Although the show had not been broadcasted on TV , but Siwon’s Fans in China had used many ways to show their support towards the drama such as writing “Oh My Lady broadcast persistency !” , “ Sung Star Fighting !” “Oh ! my Sung Min Woo”. Through these words we see that they really concern about this drama and also found out that Choi Siwon had great popularity in Asia .

Besides, when “Oh ! My Lady” preview was on air, it has been on the top of several search engines . In other search engines, this topic had also rising on the number of searching . This is because there was a part where Choi Siwon shows his abs in the preview . Truthly we had feel the “Choi Siwon effect".

[News] Super Junior to participate in MTV EXIT's concert in Vietnam

It's confirmed.

9th March 2010 (Hanoi and Bangkok) – The MTV EXIT (End Exploitation and Trafficking) campaign today announced the dates of its nationwide concert tour to fight human trafficking. The Vietnam tour kicks off March 27 with “MTV EXIT Live in Hanoi”, a massive free concert at My Dinh Stadium featuring top local artists such as Ha Anh Tuan, Pham Anh Khoa and Phuong Vy, as well as Korean megastars Super Junior and Australian pop star Kate Miller-Heidke.

MTV EXIT is produced by the MTV Europe Foundation in partnership with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Australian Government’s Agency for International Development (AusAID).

After Hanoi the tour continues to Halong Bay, Can Tho and Ho Chi Minh City, educating youth about the dangers of human trafficking.

[News/Video] Hankyung's Interview - SOHU STAR ONLINE [eng subbed]

Super Junior Hangeng recently kept on avoiding all publicity regarding his sensitive termination contract with SM.

Lately, he accepted an interview with Sohu Entertainment's [Star Online] and revealed his recent situation.
According to him he himself is still waiting for the result. Being not in public view as of now, he stated that he is resting since there are lot of things going on around him.

Don't worry. Also according to him, he is not depressed with all of these happenings but instead he has calm and peaceful mind.He wanted ELFS to wait for the result with him.

[News] Eunhyuk recovered. Will return Sukira on Thursday..

After diagnosed and confirmed with H1N1 virus, Super Junior Eunhyuk had to stop all his activities including his DJ-ing in Sukira. We've been informed that members Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Sungmin have to replace him temporarily.

But scratch that. Good news, Super Junior's dancing machine almost  recovered and will start to continue all his activities including Dj-ing in Sukira. He will be also present in Super Show Shanghai.

After communication with sister site WannaBe, we were informed that Eunhyuk has almost recovered and will return to Kiss The Radio this coming Thursday, continuing all activities. He will also be able to participate in Shanghai's Super Show II.

[News] Super Junior-T mentioned in The Independent Newspaper

**This is the 2nd time SJ has been featured; first it was “Choi Siwon”**

Korean boy bands are back in the top end of Twitter’s trending topics on Thursday, February 25.

Super Junior-Trot, otherwise known as Super Junior-T, are a sub-group of the popular Korean boy band Super Junior. Super Junior-T are highly regarded in Korea for their “trot songs” (trot songs are recognizable for their distinctive background “trotting” beat and are one of the oldest forms of Korean pop music).

The vibrant fan following of Super Junior-T fans are using Twitter to congratulate the band on their third anniversary.

Finally! PULP LIVE Productions (together with MYX, most popular music channel in the Philippines), who will bring the most popular KPOP group Super Junior to Philippines  just released the official promotional video for Super Junior Super Show 2 that will take place in April 10 this year.

[News] SJ Lee Teuk cried when DBSK debut 1st

 

Super Junior leader Lee Teuk talks about how he has cried looking at his juniors Dong Bang Shin Ki debut before himself few years back.

Lee Teuk will be featured on SBS E!TV ‘Jo HyungGi and Park JoonKyu’s Brother Restaurant’ to be aired on 17th February as the first customer to the restaurant.

Lee Teuk revealed on the show, “I was set to debut as part of a 5-member group in June 2002. But with Worldcup which shook the whole nation, the debut was pushed backwards, and I had to see junior trainees Dong Bang Shin Ki debut before myself.”

He added, “I congratulated coolly them on their debut, but I cried on my way home in the bus.”

Lee Teuk will also share the hard times he went through during his trainee days and also life now as leader Lee Teuk on the show.

The show is set to air at midnight on 18th February.
