[News] T-Max adorns billboards in Bangkok

K-pop idol group T-Max has adorned the billboards of Thailand's capital of Bangkok, according to their agency Planet 905.

Planet 905 stated in a press release Thursday that the group is featured on the billboards for skin care brand Wuttisak which is placed on several high rises, bus stops, subway stations and several locations in the popular Siam Square in Bangkok.

The band was appointed the new faces of Wuttisak in late January and they visited the country to attend a press conference, commercial and billboard shoot. Over 100 media outlets turned up for the press conference.

Planet 905 went onto explain that the group was handed the title of 'New Asian Stars' after the billboards were revealed in the highly populated areas of the country.

T-Max, composed of members Kim Joon, Shin Min-chul and Park Yoon-ha, made their debut in 2007 with their first single album "Blooming."

They boomed into the music industry after releasing their song "Paradise" in the soundtrack for last year's smash hit TV series "Boys Over Flowers" and are currently preparing to release their studio album during the latter half of the year.

Member Kim Joon also appears as a regular on KBS' variety show “Invincible Baseball Team” and has been set to star in a Korea-Japan co-produced drama tentatively titled "The Love of Pygmalion."

[News] T-Max's overexcited band leader Shin Min-chul tripped and fell at the sight of his fans

http://koala41.files.wordpress.com/2009/01/tmax.jpg

An overenthusiastic Shin Min-Chul fell down while he was on his way to meet with fans yesterday at Changi Airport. "I was really eager to meet with the fans yesterday after we arrived. I was running towards them and fell down instead!" he laughed sheepishly.

Setting aside the slippery escapades, with the overwhelming popularity of one member in a band, one would expect jealousy to ensue.

Since starring in the hit household K-drama series, Boys Over Flowers, Kim Joon, the rapper of Korean boyband T-Max, has catapulted to fame overnight, overshadowing his two fellow T-Max members, Min-chul and Park Yun Hwa.

Speaking to the media at the press conference held this afternoon for Seoul'd Out Sundown festival, Min-chul, the group's leader got up from his seat and pretended to leave the room in mock anger.

"Well that is quite a common question," he answered, referring to the Kim Joon's popularity. "To be honest, we are all humans. Yes, there can be jealousy. But we view this as a form of opportunity for all of us from [Kim Joon's] success.

We hope for everyone to take us as a team. Don't take us as individuals. Please watch us as a team together."

They remained adamant about their cohesiveness as a group, despite performing solo songs in their recent single, Single Collection (Special Collection).

"The intention of our solo songs was to bring out the individual talents and not segregate us. Please be patient and await our upcoming album early next year."

Known as the Korean version of the popular Japanese boyband w-inds, T-Max will be rocking out on stage tomorrow night with fellow Korean acts at the Sundown festival. It is the first time T-Max would be performing in Singapore.

"It's going to be really special when we're onstage. We are going to engage our fans and make it a little more interactive," the members shared. "Take this as a date between the fans and us. We hope that you would keep your minds open and listen to our songs to get to know us better."

Cutting to the chase, Min-chul yelped out excitedly, "Let's party!"

The Seoul'd Out Sundown festival will be held tomorrow at Fort Canning Park. Gates open at 5.30pm and tickets are available at the entrance of the park. Visit http://www.sundownfestival.sg/ for more details.

[News] 'Prince Song’ gives the fans something to awe at

‘Prince Song’ (aka. Kim Jun from T Max) has officially been proven to be an F4 member even out of the drama when the fans captured him helping around by doing what a “good” citizen should be doing.
If Kim Jun’s sweet image wasn’t displayed in Boys Over Flowers, the sports variety show ‘Invincible Baseball Team’ is keeping his image alive. He had already been known to always offer first to others and recently, the fans captured on camera when ’Prince Song’ was taking his time picking up the trash around the baseball field after the game took place.
If that wasn’t enough, when one fan dropped their pen, he kindly picked it up for them and when a little kid asked for a photo with him, he personally kneeled down next to the little kid, giving him the image of a “manner man.” The fans who were watching him as he performed these acts says that they were “touched and in awe” with Kim Jun. Some fans stated that these acts displayed by him, was even more important than hitting a homerun on the field.
Planet 905, Kim Jun’s company stated, “Kim Jun was just doing what he is supposed to be doing, and we were surprised when the fans poured out encouragements and compliments.” In addition, they stated, “even though he doesn’t excel in baseball, he will show himself continually changing for the better.”
