'섹시 아이콘' 이효리가 내년 1월 발매 예정인 정규 4집 앨범 컨셉트 구상을 위해 20일간의 미국 여행을 마치고 일요일 귀국했다.
현지에서 패션과 유행을 살피며 새 앨범에 대한 컨셉트을 모았다고 한 측근은 말했다. 매니저이자 친구가 10일 떠날 때부터 미국 여행에 동행했다.
이 측근은 "뉴욕에서 새 앨범 구상과 함께 컨셉트에 맞는 의상 등 여러 준비를 하게 될 것이다"고 전했다. 앞서 이효리는 2008년 여름 솔로 3집 앨범 발매에 앞서 뉴욕 여행을 통해 의상과 앨범 컨셉트에 대한 준비를 한 바 있다.
이효리는 당초 올 하반기 4집 앨범을 발매할 예정이었다. 하지만 앨범의 완성도를 높이기 위해 발매 시기를 내년 초로 늦췄다.
한편 이효리는 지난 10월 팬 카페를 통해 새 앨범에 대한 계획을 팬들에 알렸다. 그녀는 "오래 생각하고 구상해 좋은 앨범을 내고 싶다. 열심히 곡을 받고 어떤 앨범을 만들지 열심히 구상 중이니 조금만 기다려달라"고 전했다.
이효리는 출연 중인 SBS 예능 프로그램 '일요일이 좋다'의 '패밀리가 떴다' 녹화에 참여했다.
Korea's "sexy icon" Lee Hyo-ri returned to Seoul Sunday from his 20-day trip to the United States to seek new idea for her projected 4th album scheduled to be released in January.
A close aide to Lee said that she has collected new concept and looked into fashions for the album in New York. She has been accompanied by her manager and friend since her departure to the U.S. Nov. 10.
"Fashionable clothing is one of the items she has wanted to choose in New York," the aide said. She made a similar tour to New York, prior to the release of her solo album No. 3 in summer of 2008.
Lee was scheduled to release her fourth album in the latter half of this year but delayed it till early next year to upgrade the quality of the content, according to the aide.
Meanwhile, Lee informed her plan for the new album on her fan cafe last October. "I want to release a good album, thinking and finding out for a long time. Wait a little more, please," she said.
She joined in the video-taping of one entertainment program of SBS ― "The Family Outing," one of the parts of "Sunday Is A Good Day," when she returned to Seoul.
