[News] Lee SeungGi expresses unhappiness to YoonA-TaecYeon scandal

SBS variety show Strong Heart MC Lee Seung Gi reveals his unhappiness to YoonA-Ok TaeYeon scandal.

So Nyeo Shi Dae YoonA and 2PM TaecYeon was present in the recent filming of ‘Strong Heart’. The 2 had showed not just their dances as Korea’s representative idols, but also their good speaking.

Especially during the filming, Lee SeungGi-YoonA-TaecYeon “love triangle” was the hot issue amongst the guest appaearances. Previously, YoonA and TaecYeon put up a couple performance for MBC Gayo Festival on 31st December, which had sparked off talks of scandal. Back then, the 2 had clarified with the comment “It is just for business” to calm the scandal rumours.

So the issue of scandal between the 2 was put in the spotlight during filming that day even though the 2 had made it clear that it was just for pure entertainment purpose. With that, Lee SeungGi was seen uncomfortable during all the talk about the scandal between the 2.

Lee SeungGi has also always proclaimed that YoonA is his ideal type of girl. With that YoonA also revealed, “I’m really happy that Lee SeungGi has chosen me as his ideal type of girl.”

It is said that the YoonA was also made to choose her ideal type between Lee SeungGi and TaecYeon during the filming.

Meanwihle, the show is set to air on 9th February at 11.05pm.

[News] Uee to advertise 7 Jeans with Taiwan's Chi-ling Lin

Korean singer Uee of girl band After School has been selected to advertise a popular designer jeans brand with Chinese actress Chi-ling Lin, according to global denim brand 7 For All Mankind.

Uee and Lin will be featured in the 2010 worldwide campaign for the brand with each star promoting the product to her home country market. 

"Uee appeals to people with her innocent image, long legs and glamorous physique," said an executive at 7 Jeans Korea. "She meets the prerequisites necessary in becoming a denim model and she is liked by everyone, so that is why we chose her."

7 Jeans had only used American models in their past ads for overseas market but recently decided to adopt a localization strategy and feature local celebrities in the target market.

Uee, whose real name is Kim Yu-jin, is one of the seven members of popular girl band After School. The 21-year-old has become one of the hottest young stars in Korea since joining the group early last year and later making her acting debut in the hit MBC drama "Queen Seon-deok".

[News] Jang Geun Seuk's fan meeting in Taiwan sold out

Tickets for actor Jang Keun-suk's fan meeting in Taiwan sold out in just three hours of going on sale, according to his agency on Tuesday.

Fans rushed to Taiwanese music site 'g-music' Sunday to purchase tickets for the event, initially causing the server to crash before all 2,500 tickets were sold, Jtree Company said.

A local media company had also reported, "Online, Jang's fans caused the server to go down while offline, fans from all over the country arrived at the ticket booth three days early to wait in line for the tickets." 

The fan meeting is the starting point of Jang's Asian tour also set to take place in China, Hong Kong and Singapore between March and May.

Meanwhile, Jtree also added that the actor is being approached by various companies throughout Asia to be featured in their commercials. "We are currently in the process of signing with a company for an ad that will air in Korea and other Asian countries."

Jang recently held a fan meeting in Korea attended by 3,000 fans at Seoul's Olympic Park Olympic Hall last month. His fans from eight countries throughout Asia also turned up at the event.

The actor made his debut into the industry at the early age of five as a catalog model. His most notable appearances were in Korean sitcom "Nonstop 4" and Korean dramas "Beethoven Virus." Last year, he played the role of an eccentric lead singer of idol group A.N.JELL in TV series "Minamishineyo."

[NEWS] 'Mistaken Volleyball for Badmitton due to nervousness' Tiara's Mistake!

At the All Star Volleyball Congratulatory concert, girl group, T-ara mistakened volleyball for badmitton.

On the 7th in the JangChung Gym, the Men's NH Nonghyup V League All Star was held. On this day, T-ara brilliantly performed 'Bo Beep Bo Beep' and the follow up track 'Like the Beginning' captivating the audience.

However after the event, 'Tiara's Mistake' ranked high on various portal sites due to the increased interest of netizens.

An official stated that "Due to the avid fans and enthusiastic cheers, Tiara was nervous and mistakened volleyball for badmitton. They were so sorry that they tried even harder to provide more enthusiastic and decorated performances."

So the netizens stated 'Didn't they not prepare enough for a official event?' and 'How do you confuse badmitton and volleyball?'

[News] SHINee visits a Japanese orphanage

On February 6th, boy group SHINee performed at the K-POP Festival in Sapporo, Japan. The next day, the angelic boys decided to visit an orphanage in the city and put smiles on the little kids’ faces.

They gifted the children with shirts that had Korean on it, Korean snacks and Korean stuffed animals. Maybe the purpose was to introduce Korean culture to the boys and girls.

SHINee and the 60 children split up into teams and played games. The children even performed for SHINee. With Sapporo TV recording every minute of this event, the boys received much kudos from the Japanese fans.

SHINee said, “It was for a short period of time but we made a lot of memories in Sapporo. Meeting these children made this trip more meaningful. If we get the chance to, we want to visit Sapporo again.”

SHINee is wrapping up an Asia promotion by hitting Hong Kong on the 12th, Cambodia on the 21st and Fukuoka on the 27th.

[News] Taecyeon gets pranked with hidden camera on drama set

'Beastly idol' 2PM member Taecyeon was tricked by Moon gunyoung, Seowoo, Chun Jung-myung's hidden camera trick.

On the 6th, the first face to face meeting of the new KBS 2TV mini-series 'Cinderella Sister' drama cast took place. Taecyeon was part of an awkward situation with the fellow cast members Moon Gun-young, Seowoo, Chun Jung-myung's joke.

On the 8th, an associate stated that Moon Gun-young, Seowoo, Shun Jung-myung played a hidden camera joke on Taecyeon since it was his first time as an actor and to help him loose his tensions.

The concept was Seowoo having a crush on Taecyeon and Chun Jung-Myung disciplining the young Seowoo in front of Taecyeon. Chun Jung-myung disciplined Seowoo in front of Taecyeon angrily and said how she was thoughtless and immature in her first meeting with Taecyeon. Unable to handle the pressure, Seowoo went to Moon Gun-young and cried in her arms. Taecyeon didn't know what to do and was very surprised and said to the officials that he had no idea what was going on.

In order to fully fool Taecyeon, Moon gun-young Seo and Chun Jung myung did not tell Kim Young Jo PD.

Kim Young Jo PD explained, "The scenario exercises and the face to face appearance was to bring enthusiasm and create a friendly atmosphere. All actors on the show are working enthusiastically and have high expectations."

Kim PD continued, "Although it's Taecyeon's first time acting, I believe he will be able to carry out the character's role well."

'Cinderella Sister' is based on the fairy tale of Cinderella, and the mistreated Cinderella will take revenge on her evil stepmother.

This drama will start filming on the 19th.

[News] Junho Jealous Of Taecyeon's Popularity?

2PM's Junho revealed feelings of jealousy and envy towards fellow 2PM member Taecyeon on their first talk show since their debut.

Set to air on the 9th, Junho stated on SBS 'Strong Heart', "There are a lot of times where I'm jealous because Taecyeon hyung takes the spotlight wherever we go. There was a bit of greed in me where I wanted to look special too."

He continued to state, "Sometimes I stay up all night for days thinking about how to look different on stage." Junho also revealed a story behind the shocking ending for their performance for 'Heartbeat' last November.
