Chun Dung from the rookie group MBLAQ will appear on the music video of Lyn's title song from her 6th album "New Celebration", and doing a couple dance just like the Baek JiYoung-Taekyeon couple.

On 27th October, she will release her 6th full album "6½ New Celebration" and on the 22nd, the song and the music video of "New Celebration" will be released.

Lyn has released a teaser for her up-coming music video and has left the fans wanting more.

With Lyn's powerful moves and Chun Dung's, who is the younger brother of 2NE1's Sandara Park, appearance, the music video shows something beyond one's imagination.

Lyn has expressed her thoughts on making the music video: "It was difficult whilst filming as this was my first time dancing. But it was a fun project to do. Because it's a new personal challenge, I'm looking forward to seeing the reactions of people."

Lyn's new dance song "New Celebration", along with the music video, will be available on various sites such as GOM TV and Bugs Music.

[News] MKMF is now MAMA !

The year 2009 was like a gust of wind that has brought along tons of new girls groups, but whose hand will MAMA (no pun intended but that's the acronym) hold now?

Major Korean music channel Mnet has announced that their Mnet Korean Music Festival (MKMF) will now be renamed as Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA)!

Mnet announced on October 23 that the live broadcast will change its concept and the way they will handle how people may vote for which artist wins the award.

Mnet also announced that Park Ji Yoon, SG Wannabe's Kim Yong Jun and Lee Seok Hoon will become the new MC's of the event.

Mnet is planning on handing out the "Rookie Female Group Award," to the following nominees: 2NE1, 4minute, After School, f(x), and last but not least, T-ara.

Having seen the five groups show up suddenly and made a comet-like impact upon the K-Pop world, many are extremely curious as to who will MAMA choose to be the rookie female group of the year.

The live broadcast of the 2009 MAMA will take place on November 21 at Seoul's Jamsil Stadium. People that live outside of Korea, don't give your hopes up yet, because there's a reason why MAMA is titled MAMA! Via Channel V Asia, the event will be broadcasted in China, Japan, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and Thailand.

The special main event will be the "Global Artist Award." In addition, another major change is that the Trot genre will be added on along with the other Pop music awards.

There will be a total of 7 categories of artists, 6 categories of genres, and 2 categories of music video nominations during the event. In addition, there will be a total of 30 awards for each nominated song.

People may start voting on October 23, 2009 through the Mnet homepage.

My Bet that 2NE1 will win the rookie award :),I am pretty sure SNSD will be winning one award too for their Gee or genie.!

I am not bias hehe !, f(x) will be some competition for 2NE1,but f(x) is still not there yet eventhough 2NE1's and f(x) debuts impressed me the most.2NE1 surpassed other rookie girl groups by winning lots of awards in just their 100th day debut and they're gaining more and more fans.

Another thing, i dont think MAMA awards are only based on votes ;) so dont worry.

I am pretty sure MNET will let SM artist to attend the MAMA awards,as you know MNET and SM are not in good terms.I doubt MNET wouldnt let SM artist to the awards...they will be loosing ratings to other awards show.Secondly,there are quite a number of SM artist nominees in the awards.Well till then,we will wait for an official statement from SM whether SM artist will be in attendance at the MAMA.

The untold stories of the members of TVXQ has been revealed.

MBC’s “Everyone ‘More Star Secrets-Episode: TVXQ’”, airing the afternoon of the 24th, features Elementary School friends of TVXQ’s Xiah Junsu with whom he had formed a group, touring around Ilsan and putting on shows in the past.

For the first time ever, a never-before-scene video clip from 10 years ago in his past is being revealed.

As most of you know now, MKMF have change it's name to MAMA. I kind of like the name although it sound kind of funny. It's not the MAMA show yet but just the announcement of it.Here's some video of Mblaq and 4minute. I don't understand korean too but I roughly guess that they are asked about how they feel about being on the show as rookies. [Pictures] Wonder Girls' Sun Mi 4 in 1 expressions!

I think Wonder Girls have gone through a lot of hardships in the States and i am glad that they will be back to Korea soon.

To be honest,the first korean song i listened to was Wonder Girls' "Nobody",without them,i really don't have the curiosity to know more about K Pop,it is even more impossible for me to build this blog,so i really hope that they will be back again to perform on Music Shows such as Music Bank,Music Core and Inkigayo,i really missed these girls!

Anyway,Sun Mi cried during the press conference earlier today,the photo above shows different expressions of Sun Mi,i am glad to see her smilling again after bursting into tears,Wonder Girls fighting!

haiz, i dont want Oppa band to end. It always made my day when i watch it.
They still interact with each other so well despite the age differences.
actually I'm still surprised at its low ratings and still can't accept the
fact that it's ending. Well, what has to end has to end. :(
Hope these kind of show come out more often because its just so nice
seeing them work together, creating music. :)

Although they have ended the promotional activities for their second mini album "Revolution",these girls do not seem to be resting nowadays,they have been involving in many activities these few weeks including shooting for new CF's such as OCB Chicken,Han Game and to name a few.Besides,they also appeared on various TV shows such as Music Travel Lalala,Strong Heart and the Star Golden Bell.Hope that they will get enough rest as they will release their new album next month.

[News] WonderGirls to unleash Mandarin version of ‘Nobody’, eyeing the Chinese market

South Korea’s Wonder Girls made history this week by becoming the first Korean singers to chart on the United States’ Billboard Hot 100, and the pop group is eyeing the lucrative Chinese market next.

The girl band’s hit single “Nobody” entered the chart at number 76, putting them ahead of Carrie Underwood (#77), Five for Fighting (#83) and Usher (#92).

A press release by the group’s agency JYP Entertainment said Thursday this is the first time any Koreans has ever placed on the chart in all its 115-year history.

The Billboard rankings are determined by an artiste’s number of airplays, album sales, as well as digital downloads.

Earlier this week, an airplay analysis chart by music website Mediabase showed that the Wonder Girls’ airplay ranking improved 16 spots week-on-week to the 107th position after “Nobody” was played 65 times by radio stations across America in the week October 12-18.

Reports said “Nobody” also outsold singles by pop stars Madonna and Shakira, with over 30,000 copies off the shelves in the same week.

The five-piece girl group also toured with popular US boyband Jonas Brothers as their opening act for 53 concerts.

With success in America, and parts of Asia already under their charm, the Wonder Girls are looking to conquer the massive Chinese market next.

The band will be making its foray into China later this month during the Mobile Festival in Beijing, alongside other famous faces such as Jackie Chan and Zhang Ziyi.

“Nobody” was originally released in the girls’ native language Korean, and later remade into English for their US debut. This time, the hit single will undergo a third release – in Mandarin – for the Wonder Girls’ venture into China.
