[News] 2AM’s first appearance on MBC Music Core 1 month since their comeback

Idol group 2AM had their first appearance on MBC Music Core after 1 month since they had their comeback.
The group performed their new song ‘Even If I Die, I will not Let You Go’ on MBC Music Core on 27th February. The song is off their new minialbum released on 21st January.
All this while, 2AM’s comeback song has been doing very well on online and offline charts, but there was no appearance on MBC Music Core while they performed on weekly music shows by other broadcast companies. Many pointed the reason to the discord going on between 2AM’s side and MBC.
Meanwhile, 2AM surpassed So Nyeo Shi Dae ‘Oh!’ to win the Mutizen award on 25th February on Mnet M!Countdown.

[NEWS] 100227 The Reason for Jaebum’s Permanent Withdrawal was Not Revealed
2PM Fan Conference, The Reason for Jaebum’s Permanent Withdrawal was Not Revealed.
The reason for Jaebum’s permanent withdrawal was not revealed even at the fan conference.
On the 27th, at 3PM, the conference between 2PM’s six members and the fans was held at the Garden Five in Seoul MoonJungDong. The members themselves set out to frankly speak about Jaebum’s permanent withdrawal. The most attention is on what will be revealed after JYPE said that the reason why Jaebum was permanently removed was because of his “serious personal mistake that can create a huge problem socially”.
The fan conference was attended by 2PM’s six members, CEO Jung Wook, and eighty-seven fans. JYPE thought that it would only take about two to three hours, but because the fans questions did not stop, it was over four hours long and finally ended after 7pm. The conference was held in a manner so that the six members of 2PM and CEO JungWook could answer the fans’ questions with the utmost sincerity.
A representative of JYP said, “Since a lot of fans were going to attend, instead of the JYPE building, we held the conference in different place. Because we were going to hold the conference until there were no more questions from the fans, the conference took longer than expected.” The representative also said, “The fans were most curious about Jaebum’s mistake, but we were unable to reveal anything about that. Like we revealed in the official statement on the homepage, it is because of a “personal problem” and the atmosphere felt like the fans understood that.”
It seems like JYP decided not to reveal the content of what went on during the conference directly. They agreed to have the fans upload what they took away from the conference themselves on their own fancafes.

[News] SHINee Donate $10,000 to Phnom Penh Orphanage

South Korean boy band SHINee performed a concert at Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh on Tuesday, wrapping up a six-day visit that included a donation of US$10,000 to the Cambodia Children?s Fund.

The band ? formed in 2008 and consisting of members Lee Jinki, Kim Jonghyun, Kim Kibum, Choi Minho and Lee Taemin ? has become popular among Cambodian teens through its music videos, particularly for the song ?Ring Ding Dong?.

SHINee?s visit to the country was arranged by the Cambodia Television Network (CTN) and its sister network MYTV.

At a press conference on Monday band members said they were touring Asia and had very much wanted to perform in Cambodia.
?We also know that Cambodian people support SHINee,? the band said in statement.

Following the press conference, the group visited the Cambodian Children?s Fund (CCF), where they were greeted by about 100 orphaned children who live there. The children staged a performance for the visitors, after which the band donated $10,000 to the fund.

CCF is raising 135 Cambodian children, 7 to 18 years of age, most of whom are former scrap scavengers from the Stung Meanchey dump site. The fund provides English-language classes, jobs in restaurants, IT classes and other vocational training.

?I think we will use [SHINee?s] donation for our culture, music and dance. I love music and I like culture,? said CCF director Scott Neeson.

Meanwhile, Monday?s press conference was also a rallying point for SHINee fans, many of whom waited outside the conference room sporting blonde, metrosexual hairstyles and Korean-style clothing.

One fan, 19-year-old National University of Management student Leng Dalin, said she was there to see the band members but had not been allowed into the press conference.

?I?ve been a fan since first seeing them on MYTV last year. I like their clothes and the way they dance,? she said.

Leng Dalin said she had already bought a $5 ticket to see SHINee?s Tuesday concert, money she would not spend on performances by Cambodian singers whom she said she had already seen ?too many times?.

According to the Cambodia Television Network, more than 4,000 tickets were sold for the SHINee concert, most of them to fans under 20 years old.
