[News] U-KISS Eli "Not Bad If To Be Compared With Dongho"

After gaining much popularity with their new song 'Bingeul Bingeul', U-KISS's Eli is now appearing on a cable channel and showing his 'gag-dol (gag idol)' talent.

Eli recently did a filming for cable channel MBC ESPN's F1 Real Variety '2010 F1 Speed Racer'. During the filming, Eli did not hesitate to show his great sense of humor in front of variety program's seniors (such as Han Min Gwan, Moon Hee Jun, Yoon Taek, Kim Hyung In etc)and received a recognition for it.

Eli does not afraid to show his funny side, which surprised the production team.

The secret of Eli gaining the attention as 'gag-dol' is because of the comedian Han Min Gwan. It was known that Han Min Gwan was the one that helped Eli in his gag.

Han Min Gwan said "Eli always provides material that can make the broadcasting crew laughed so hard. He really has good senses of humor for variety programs. I did a program with U-KISS Dongho too but Eli seems to be one step ahead of him."

Right after the shooting started, the crew was constantly waiting for Eli's adlibs. Whenever Eli said something, the female staffs will burst into laughter.

Kim Hyung In showed his jealousy "Eli and I did the same gag but the laughter that came out from the staffs are different. You guys laughed because he's good looking right?".


The promising 'gag-dol' Eli showing his sense of humor can be watched on the March 23rd broadcast of MBC ESPN '2010 F1 Speed Racer'.

7 member group, U-Kiss (Alexander, Soohyun, Kevin, Kibum, Eli, Dongho, Kiseop), who caused a craze with the 'Gangnam Dance' through 'Man Man Ha Ni'. These boys are back as men with stronger, more mature looks and intense charisma.

The U-Kiss members have shown off the talents in various programs, through music, variety, radio etc. The members are tired with their busy schedules but "we will be happy if we were busier and more tired", they revealed, laughing.

Popularity from 'Man Man Ha Ni' to 'Bingeul Bingeul'? It's still lacking!

U-Kiss, who received a lot of attention for the strong man dance in 'Man Man Ha Ni' as well as outstanding performances in variety programs during the 2nd half of 2009, is back this time with electronic hip-hop song, 'Bingeul Bingeul'. It has enthralled the fans with its addictive chorus and tornado dance.

In response to a question about the reactions of fans towards new song 'Bingeul Bingeul', Kibum said, "honestly, during our 1st and 2nd singles, people were not really aware of us. Our popularity started rising a little from 'Man Man Ha Ni'."

"Therefore, we honestly had great expectations for this album. Although we received a lot of love as compared to the beginning, it still seems like it's lacking," he added.

"Since 'Bingeul Bingeul' is the start, will it not get better?" said the ambitious Kibum.

Seeing ghosts is a sign of success? We rather not..

There are a few popular beliefs of signs on success in the singing industry. For example, constantly seeing ghosts in the recording studio or having unidentifiable sounds appearing in your music are some of the signs.

When asked if they saw any of such signs during their preparation for the new album, the members "no" together.

"During our 1st and 2nd album promotions, we often saw ghost-like figures or experienced sudden power failures. So while we said 'this is going to be a big hit', things didn't go as well as we expected."

"During 'Man Man Ha Ni', we didn't experience such things. But we received much better responses than we did for our previous albums. So in future, we hope we don't experience such believed signs of success."

Two years after its debut, the 7-member idol group U-Kiss has formed its official fanclub "Kiss Me."

In the afternoon of the 17th, at the Seoul Sookmyung Arts Center Theatre, the members of U-Kiss posed for the cameras at the founding ceremony press conference.

UKiss KiBum talks about his elder brother SS501 member Kim HyungJoon.

Recently during an interview, KiBum said, “I get to see HyungJoonie hyung when our schedule overlaps at the broadcast centres. After comeback, I don’t get to see hyung for about 2 weeks. And recently on KBS Music Bank, I met with hyung.

The SS501 hyungs help us out a lot by talking about us during their interview.” SS501 was #1 on Music Bank on 20th November. UKiss was also around then. KiBum said, “I’m so happy that SS501, which hyung is in, got #1.”

But KiBum talks about his determination to do well as a singer, “I’ve been behind hyung all this while, now I want to try be ahead of him. Now I want to try be in SS501 hyung’s position.”

[News]UKiss DongHo rushed into ER last weekend, “I’m alright now”

News have came late that UKiss member DongHo was rushed to ER earlier for neurological enteritis.

DongHo has participated in the baseball match in JeJu Island which took place from 20th to 22nd November for KBS 2TV ‘Invincible Baseball’.

DongHo had complained of abdominal pain after returning to the dormitary after the first game with a strong Busan baseball team on 21st November. Following that on 22nd November, he was rushed into ER in a hospital in JeJu island.

A representative said, “DongHo had felt great pressure about the match. And had neurological enteritis. He was put on Ringer and returned to Seoul.” DongHo was not able to join the filming for ‘Invincible Baseball’ on 22nd November.

[news]Boybands take over half of the Kpop Stage

The Kpop scene has taken a change, from the ‘war’ of the girlgroups which went on for the first half of the year, now is the time of the boy groups.

Just looking at the performance list for KBS Music Bank on 13th November, we have 2PM comeback stage, and also performances by FT Triple, BEAST, SHINee, UKiss, SHU-I etc. And there is also SS501 and MBLAQ who did not perform on the show that day.

And backstage, you can see the boy group members giving out their CDs and because they are all from the same age range, it was obvious that the members are close friends with one another.

Also, you can see the boys dancing and singing along when other boy bands are performing on stage.

We see a start of a change of scene on the Kpop stage with the boy groups coming back in action.

[video]U-KISS Comeback on Inkigayo with crazy lasers!

U-Kiss had their last Comeback Stage for "Man Man Ha Ni" on Inki Gayo, and the lights were out of control!

Talk about trippy... lasers are shooting all over the place in all the colors in this performance. This is their best comeback performance for "Man Man Ha Ni." You can definitely feel the energy of their performance, perhaps due to the chants of their fans, but U-Kiss put on a powerful performance displaying their practice definitely paid off. Debuting on MNet's chart at #55 today, "Man Man Ha Ni," we can definitely expect their song to start moving up the charts very soon.
