[News] Younha records soundtrack for drama "Personal Taste"

Korean pop singer Younha has recorded a song for the soundtrack of MBC's new TV series "Personal Taste", according to her agency Lion Media on Wednesday.

Lion said Younha will sing the theme song titled "You Don't Say" for actress Son Ye-jin's character in the Wednesday/Thursday drama. This will be the first time she has contributed to a soundtrack since her debut.

"You Don't Say," directed by the producer of "I Broke Up Today" from her third full-length album "Part. B Growing Season," will also be released on several online music sites tomorrow in time with the premiere of the drama.

Younha, 22, made her singing debut in Japan in 2005, appearing on the Korean music scene two years later. She has many hits under her name including "Password 486," "Comet" and "Telepathy."

The piano playing artist has sold over 30,000 copies of her third full-length record "Part. B Growing Season," which went on sale December 11 last year.

Singer YounHa, who is known to have collapsed from exhaustion on 1st January will be discharged from the hospital after being hospitalised for a week.

Even though YounHa is now recovered of pneumonia, she has not fully recovered of laryngitis. And YounHa has felt bad for not being able to carry out the promise to fans with the cancellation of her music show performance last week.

[News] YounHa on slow health recovery, expected to stay hospitalised for a longer period of time

It has been known that singer YounHa’s health conditions are worse than expected and will need to be hospitalised for a longer period of time.
YounHa’s company revealed on 3rd January, “YounHa is currently down with high fever and is not feeling very good. Her recovery rate is slower than expected and it seems that she has to stay hospitalised for a longer period of time.”
“We want to make sure that she is fully recovered at the hospital before she will get back to her activities.”

YounHa was down with high fever and other flu symptoms on 31st December and had collapsed from exhaustion early morning on 1st January. There were worries that she has contracted swine flu but after the health examinations came out it was confirmed that she did not get the flu.

This is also the reason for her absence during KBS Music Bank and MBC Music Core.
Currently, her hit song ‘Broke Up Today’ is gaining much popularity.

[News] Younha sweeps online music charts again

Korean singer Younha has swept online music charts again with her latest single "I Broke Up Today", according to a press release by agency Lion Media.

"Today", the title track from her third album "Part B. Growing Season", was ranked at No. 1 on Korean music channel Mnet's weekly singles and albums charts for the week of December 21-27.

The song -- written by popular R&B singer Park Hwayobi -- also received the most airplay on the radio during the same period, according to Air Monitor Chart.

Web-based music provider Dosirak, who ranks songs by the number of listeners and downloads, reported that "Today" topped its weekly music chart for the second consecutive week(Dec. 14-20, Dec. 21-27).

The 21-year-old singer, nicknamed the "Oricon comet" for her success in Japan, released her debut album "Go! Younha" in Japan in 2005. She has since released several more albums in Japan and Korea as well.

Younha held her first solo concert on December 25, which was attended by some 2,500 fans.

Singer YounHa’s new song has received positive response from music fans.

YounHa’s latest album 3rd album Part B ‘Growing Season’ title song ‘Broke Up Today’ is up # 1 on Dosirak music chart for the 2nd consecutive week.

The song was revealed on 11th December and is a ballad number showing a more matured YounHa through the melody, lyrics and YounHa’s strong vocals. And on the same day of release, about 5000 netizens have rated it best on the site’s poll chart.

Brian Joo’s new album ‘Manifold’ has taken the #1 spot on HanTeo album chart.

Brian has topped the realtime chart, beating out competition from other artistes like Super Junior, YounHa and Eun JiWon on the day of the album release on 10th December. And after just 11 days, he went up to #1 on the album chart.

Brian’s new album music is unique this time with the corporation of club tunes as compared to the usual popular ballad music.
