Super Junior member Kang-in failed to show up at the police station for investigation on Friday afternoon after turning himself in earlier in the day for drunk driving and hit-and-run.
An official at Seoul Gangnam Police Station said the 24-year-old singer was supposed to show at 2 p.m. for additional investigation but did not and will have to be called in another day since the official in charge of the case had left the office.
According to police, Kang-in had been driving after drinking when he collided into two taxis at a halt around 3 a.m. He left his vehicle and fled to a nearby alley but turned himself into police around 9 a.m.
Kang-in's alcohol level stood at 0.082 percent upon his arrival at the station, meaning his driving license would be suspended. The drivers of the two taxis and two passengers were not injured.
Kang-in, a vocal of the popular 13-member boy band Super Junior, had stopped making public appearances after being confirmed to have engaged in assault at a bar less than a month ago.
