[News]KARA For A Good Cause

Girlgroup KARA will be donating all the proceeds from their bakery business to the children welfare association.

It has been announced that all proceeds from the bakery business operated by KARA on Mnet ‘KARA Bakery’ will be unfortunate children under the children welfare association.

KARA said on 16th January, “We want to use the money we get from the bread we made for a good cause. Even though it is not a big amount, it will be good if the children like it.”

KARA had been one of the idol groups which had caused the ‘craze of girlgroup’ last year with their dance like ‘butt dance’ for song ‘Mister’. And they continue to receive love from TV viewers for doing a good cause with the money they earn from the program ‘KARA Bakery’.

[News]Lee Hyori Is The Most Anticipated Comeback This Year!

Music portal site Monkey3 ran a poll titled, “Most Anticipated Comeback of This Year.”
Lee Hyori took first place with 26% of the votes, beating out SNSD! I guess she is ready to stop the overload of idols.

But maybe not, since SNSD did come in second place and lost to Hyori by a very small difference. SNSD gained 24% of the votes and it really is making me wonder whether or not Hyori will be able to beat SNSD on the charts. I’m thinking yes. Third place went to Big Bang with 21% of the votes. I guess these three artists are really going to battle it out this year since they’re all set to comeback in the first half of 2010.

Kara received fourth place with 16% of the votes. Then came 2NE1 with 10% of the votes and after the rookie girl group was their YG sunbae, Se7en, with only 4% of the votes. Ouch. Poor Se7en. He didn’t make it America and now it seems like people aren’t really looking forward to his comeback.

[News]Jang Geun Seuk Will Tour Asia?

Jang Geun-seok is planning a three-month (March through May) promotional tour through Asia to build buzz for the Asian broadcasts of his latest drama, You’re Beautiful, as well as the Asian releases of his recent films. The drama may only have garnered mania numbers in Korea, but it has enjoyed incredible popularity online and overseas — it’s been bought for broadcasting in 17 countries.

Jang hasn’t yet participated in official activities outside of Korea and Japan, but no matter; he’s heading to China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore, where he will hold fanmeetings. This is in large part due to the requests of overseas fans, according to the notice posted on the SBS homepage. Jang’s management also stated that he also plans on holding fanmeetings in Thailand and the Philippines sometime this year.

Jang will also be holding a fanmeeting on January 31 at Seoul’s Olympic Hall. After his Asian tour ends, he’ll get back to work picking his next acting project.

[NEWS]How did SHINee react to being requested on “Hello Baby!” Season 2?

This incident started with the production team of KBS ‘SHINee’s Hello Baby’ dragging SHINee away after giving them the only clue that it’s for ‘the show with SHINee as the main characters’. Filming hence began with this scene.

The SHINee members arrived at the Baby House feeling very much baffled, before finding out for themselves that the recording going on is indeed a real variety show called ‘SHINee’s Hello Baby’.

Following this, SHINee’s Jonghyun said “I am still a kid so to take care of a little kid it’s a little…”, showing his feeling of burden towards little kids. Oppositely, Key said with a confident expression “I will do my best!” , thus expressing his determination.

Minho said “It seems very interesting“, expressing his anticipation. Taemin said with much nostalgia like the maknae of the group “I want to try take care of the kid”, conveying many different reactions. Leader Onew who reflects the opinions of his members expressed “Since I am doing it I must definitely do it well!”, showing his love for this show.

In the process of filming, SHINee members’ past appearances, individual talents, vocal mimicry, hilarious dancing, adorable speaking tone after transforming into a 3 year old kid and such rare images will be revealed. The show will air at 00:00 on the 19th.

[News] 4minute and 2PM win the Beautiful Brand Federation Rookie Award and Popular Artist Award at the 2010 Asia Model Festival Award

The 15th will be a day to remember for 2PM. 

At 7 PM, the 5th '2010 Asia Model Awards' was held in Seoul at olympic hall. That day, 2PM, along with Kim Taewoo and 4 Minute won the BBF Popular Artist award. They had stood on not as singers but as models. 

Afterwards, their congratulatory performance was with 2PM's unique acrobatic skills, capturing the audience. 

Fans flocked to the red carpet event and gave birthday messages for 2PM's Junsu's birthday. Junsu replied with a smile in front of the photo wall. On top of this, Junsu had already been topping the search ranking charts with his 'Kim Bo Peep' incident. The 15th should definitely be a special day to remember for 2PM.

The 4minute girls adds another award to their growing list of achievements as they were recently awarded the BBF (Beautiful Brand Federation) Rookie Award in the 2010 Asia Model Festival Awards.

The award show’s theme was “Asia is One / Asia One” (Models and artists which represent each Asian nation) organized by the South Korea Cultural Exchange Foundation and Korea Model Association, Sports and Tourism and sponsored by Korea Culture and Content Agency. The award show took place tonight (January 15) at the Olympic Hall at Olympic Park in Songpa-gu Seoul.

Aside from bagging the award the girls also performed their hit song ‘Muzik’ during the event.

Some of the other artists who attended the show were Kim Tae Woo, Han Chae Young, 2PM etc.

On another note Leader JiHyun was absent from the event. No reason was given for her absence. Although it seems like our beloved leader is sick. There’s a message that was just posted today in the girls’ fancafe. The message was from JiHyun.

[News] 4minute HyunAh’s photo ranked no. 1 entertainer by the military servicemen

Last January 6, G7 members for the KBS 2TV show “Invincible Youth” went to Kangwon province along with military servicemen to help remove the heavy snow.

Kim Tae Woo asked the military servicemen to vote for the most popular G7 member based on their photographs. 4minute HyunAh was voted as the most popular.

One of the solders said, “Dancing HyunAh is very sexy. And her debut song ‘Change’ is also good.”

Meanwhile a poll for the G7 member you want to work with all day long was made for the military servicemen. The official dancing girl HyunAh is expected to win the polls but the result of the voting will be revealed on the latest episode of Invincible Youth to be aired this coming January 15.

[News] Changmin, “I’m attending on behalf TVXQ.”

On January 15th, Choikang Changmin from the group TVXQ attended the VIP premiere of movie ‘Jumunjin’ (directed, produced by Han Myeong-Jung HMJ FILMS) at Lotte Star Cinema, Jayang-dong Seoul, and gave a striking applause.
