"Win Win' PD says he will not drop 2PM's Woo Young due to Jaebum's Withdrawal
After it was revealed that 2PM's Jaebum withdrawal was decided, the produced revealed his intent to keep 2pm member Woo Young as a MC on the show despite fans going around asking for the withdrawal of shows members are in.
'Win Win' Yoon Hyun Joon PD told My Daily through a phone interview, "Currently there are no plans for Woo Young to quit."
On 2pm fan's stance on requesting members withdrawal from shows, he said "I predicted that Jaebum would not be able to rejoin 2pm and taking that into consideration predicted the anger that would be poured onto the other members. However, it didn't seem desirable to discuss and decide to drop an MC purely due to rumors when the situation was unclear. If the entertainment company or Woo Young himself indicates that he wants to quit we will consider it. However I haven't been able to meet with Woo Young since the Jaebum incident."
On the other hand, Inkigayo's production team has not revealed their stance on the withdrawal of their MCs: Woo Young and fellow team member TaecYeon.
Woo Young, a member of group 2pm, who is part of the cast for 'Win Win' whose ratings has drastically fallen.
On the 2nd, according AGB Nielson Media Research, KBS 'Win Win' recorded ratings of 6.9%. Last month on the 22nd, the recorded ratings were 15.1%, 8.2% points higher. Within a week, the ratings dropped by more than half which broadcasters explain by "the Jaebum situation is influencing the show programs that 2pm members are on. Recently fans are enraged by Jaebum's withdrawal and seem to be attacking the members by boycotting the shows they are in. The fan culture that idol groups are in seem to be changing and it is worrisome. Because their claim (of Jaebum's return) was not fulfilled, they are hell bent on bringing down the group they like and this change in fandom is a concern."
On the other hand, SBS 'Strong Heart' which airs at the same time recorded ratings of 16.6%
