[News] Andy's Military Training Will Appear On TV Next Week

Exclusive footage of Korean singer Andy Lee undergoing military training as part of serving the country's mandatory military service will be revealed on cable next week.

Cable network MBC LIFE said in a press release Friday that its news program "Inside Life" will feature a special update on the former Shinhwa member, who last month entered a training camp in Nonsan of the South Chungcheong Province.

MBC will show the former boy band member appearing to be adapting well to his new life as a soldier, which include rolling around in the mud for battle training.

"It was tough at first, but I am happily adjusting to the life at military training camp with other soldiers," the singer was quoted as saying.

Andy, whose real name is Lee Seon-ho, is a former permanent U.S. resident but gave up his green card in 2003.

He debuted as a member of popular six-member idol group Shinhwa and has also pursued a solo singing career -- recording several solo albums and touring Asia after releasing his second solo album "Single Man".

He released a digital single titled "One Love" on January 11, the day he entered the military.

The episode of "Inside Life" featuring Andy will air on February 15 at 11 p.m.

[News] Shinhwa Andy is off to the army! “I think of Shin HyeSung hyung the most”

ShinHwa Andy picks member Shin HyeSung as the member he thinks of the most.

Andy reported for his 20-months military services at ChoongNam Nonsan camp at 1pm on 11th January. He gave up his American citizenship in 2003 and came back to Korea for his celebrity promotions and is the only ShinHwa member doing active service.

On the day, about 200 fans were present to send him off to his military service. He was accompanied by ShinHwa members Eric and Kim DongWan who are currently serving their military services.

Andy said, “At this point in time, I think of the members the most. Especially Shin HyeSung hyung. HyeSungie hyung is the only who did not contact me.”

[News]Andy Will Meet His Fans Before Entering The Military

Korean singer Andy is set to hold his last fan meeting -- titled "ANDY Farewell Party-Bye for now" -- before entering the military next week.

The former Shinhwa member will be meeting with his fans and revealing a new single at the event, to be held at Seoul's Sowol Art Hall on Saturday.

Fans in other Asian countries -- including China, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand -- are reportedly inquiring whether they can attend the fan meeting as well.

Andy Lee, who debuted as a member of popular six-member boy band Shinhwa, has also branched out to acting in TV dramas, several entertainment variety shows and hosting SBS music show "Inkigayo". After setting up his own entertainment company ND (New Dream) Entertainment in 2007, he introduced a two-member boy band "Jumper" last year.

The singer recently toured Asia after releasing his second solo album "Single Man", performing for fans in Taipei, Tokyo and Shanghai.

Andy is set to release his digital single "One Love" on January 11, the day he enters the military.

“Leaving the company is the second trial which is harder from the debut time.”

“It will be hard, like having to debut all over again.”

Andy, member of idol group Shinhwa with the longest career, who is in the middle of his solo activities, revealed his “personal opinion” about TVXQ’s situation which is a hot issue in the K-pop world.

Andy who debuted in 1999 under the same company as TVXQ, SM Entertainment, as Shinhwa, has gained lots of popularity. But as soon as the exclusive contract was over, he and the rest of the members had to move to another entertainment company and continuously did activities with passion.

Recently,in the interview with Sports Dong-A, Andy cautiously stated “I sincerely would like TVXQ and their fans who have been with them since the beginning to get back together and continue their activities." and “They should know that if they find another way, they have to start all over again.”

The days after leaving Shinhwa's debut company, Andy says, “It was a great difficulty,” and stressed “They should know that when they leave their debut company, it takes more effort and it is two - three times harder than when they first debuted.”

While Shinhwa’s group activity is on hold due to its members on army service, Andy has continued with his solo activities and scouted new singers, and has turned into a CD producer. In his own company, he has assembled a casting team, and together with (the casting team) has been searching for new entertainers/trainees.

Because of this, Andy is looking at the music industry as a producer. With his experience, he added, "Idol groups that gained popularity quickly think that their efforts are what's important, but still thinking that it is dangerous,"and "You must acknowledge the fact that the company has capabilities and talent."

ShinHwa Andy has picked So Nyeo Shi Dae YoonA as his ideal type of girl.

On KBS Champagne aired on 24th October, Andy was one of the guest appearances on the show and got to participate in the ‘Ideal Woman World Cup Top 32′. Andy chose the 32 female entertainment in order and also confessed about his ideal type of woman.

At the end of choosing the woman he like in order, he was down with Lee SooYoung and So Nyeo Shi Dae YoonA, and he chose YoonA eventually as the ultimate ideal type of woman for him.


And on the show, when having to choose between So Nyeo Shi Dae TaeYeon and YoonA, he chose YoonA; between Fin.K.L Sung Yuri and Baby VOX Yoon Eun Hye, he chosen Sung Yuri; between Jung RyeoWon of Chakra and Shim EunJin of Baby VOX, he chose Jung Ryeo Won; and lastly between Jang Nara and Lee SooYoung, he chose Lee SooYoung.

He revealed that he likes pure and innocent type of girls on the show.

He also revealed his close relationship with actress Han Ye Seul and their friendship goes way back when Andy was staying in the States.

He said, “I am very close with Han Ye Seul’s elder brother. And because of that, we visit each other’s house a lot.”

[news] Shinhwa’s Andy is a ‘Single Man’

Not that we know that for sure but we do know Andy is making a comeback as a singer with the song ‘Single Man’.

It’s been 1 year and 10 months since the last time he released an album. This time around, Andy comes back with a polished luxurious image with brand name suits and expensive accessories very much like what we see on the picture above.

The style of music is said to be a trendy electronic dance music. The shooting of his music video will begin in a few days and the comeback is not too far away.
