19-year-old Dok2, pronounced "Doki," is the newest member of Map The Soul. On November 25th, he will release his first album, Thunderground EP and to hype fans up, he did an album interview explaining his music and introducing himself to those who don't know him.
In this interview, he explained the meaning behind his album title stating that it represents his musical style and also that he is "not aiming for 'under' or 'over'... always reaching for the highest ground."
This album contains 8 tracks with a title single called "It's Me." Snatch a copy fast, because Thunderground EP is a limited edition. There will only be 10,000 copies sold worldwide and the only place to buy your limited edition CD is at MapTheSoul. If not, opt to get a digital copy of it through iTunes when it releases.
Although Dok2 is a new member of Map The Soul, it does not mean that he is new to the scene. He debuted back in 2005 in a duo group called All Black. Later, he joined the Movement Crew, hip hop collective formed by Drunken Tiger, as the youngest member. In the past, he has also been featured on several artists' album as well as co-produced.
Dok2 also announced that he will have a solo concert called "2009, It's Me Concert." Special guests that will be supporting him are Supreme Team, Epik High, MYK, and Planet Shiver.
