Popular girl group 2NE1’s CL and Gong Minzy has recently released their digital single, “Please Don’t Go.” With the release of the song, they will now be competing with fellow 2NE1 member, Park Bom and her single, “You and I”, and fellow YG family member, TaeYang and his song, “Wedding Dress.”
So when they say, “YG family, fighting!” they do mean it literally.
“Please Don’t Go,” produced by composer and producer, Teddy, is a fast dance song, with a hip-hop rhythm, strong rap style, and lively melodies.
Monkey Music, an online chart site, has revealed that “Please Don’t Go” has already outranked Park Bom’s “You and I” for the number one spot, which was occupied by the latter for two weeks already. This brings to mind a similar incident of Sandara Park’s single, “Kiss” (sorta) beating G-Dragon’s “Heartbreaker” a few months ago.
However, this competition is all healthy for the 2NE1 girls, as they are consistently still supporting each other and their solo careers. For the past days, Bom’s “You and I” and TaeYang’s “Wedding Dress” are competing in the real-time charts, with Bom topping Cyworld and Mnet. Both songs have good reviews from music lovers and listeners.
“Wedding Dress” has been getting good feedback even without the release of his solo album. The music video has also received much love from music lovers who say that the song has good choreography and beat. His previous songs, “Look only at me” has also received similar good reviews.
On November 21, the Mnet Asian Music Awards would show the girls’ singles, along with the musical-style of “I Don’t Care.”
