[News] Koyote BbaekGa’s 8-hour brain surgery was a success!

Group Koyote member BbaekGa’s 8-hour brain surgery is said to be a success.

A representative from BbaekGa’s side said on 22nd Jan, “He went in for his brain surgery this morning at 7.30am and the surgery ended at 3pm. It was a success and BbaekGa is currently recuperating at the intensive care unit.”

“Visitors are still not allowed as of now. According to the hospital, if everything goes smoothly, he will most probably be discharged from the hospital on 28th January.”

BbaekGa was hospitalised to prepare for the surgery on the 20th, friends like the Koyote members, NRG Cheon MyungHoon etc visited on 21st January to wish him success for the surgery.

He was diagnosed with brain cancer previously in October. He wrote on his minihompy on 19th January, “I will try to close my eyes and pray” and attaching photos of the Haiti natural disaster.

[News]Rain Express His Feelings Regarding Bbaek Ga's Condition

Actor and singer Rain (real name: Jung Jee-hoon, 27) expressed his concerned feelings regarding his close friend Bbaek-ga (real name: Baek Sung-hyun, 28) who has been suffering from a brain tumor, saying, “Bbaek-ga is a strong person and will overcome.”

In a recent interview, Rain remarked about Bbaek-ga’s fight against the disease. Rain said, “Since I met him when I was 15 years old, we danced together, and our relationship has been strong with trust for each other. These are not just comforting words. He will be fine just as before, because he is strong.”

Bbaek-ga was diagnosed with a brain tumor during his service as a public servant at the Seoul Central District Court. He has been scheduled for tumor removal surgery on Jan. 22, 2010 at a general hospital located in Kangnam, Seoul.

A spokesperson for Bbaek-ga reported, "The size of the tumor is large, but fortunately it is not a malignant tumor. However, according to medical staff, the surgery will not be easy because it is in the cerebral meninges and the disease can come back."

The spokesperson added, "Bbaek-ga is receiving additional tests now before surgery, and he is being careful to think about positive thoughts. Meanwhile, Bbaek-ga left the message on his personal Cyworld homepage, ‘My homepage was hacked by pornographic site ads after the news about my sickness and I did not want to deal with it,’ and he closed it.”

[News]Bbaek Ga of Koyote Is Now Set For Brain Surgery

Rapper Bbaek Ga (real name Baek Sung-hyun) of dance group Koyote has been reported of having a brain tumor and now he has set the schedule for his brain tumor surgery. He will undergo surgery to remove a tumor from his brain on January 22. Although the tumor is diagnosed to be benign, the surgery is expected to take eight hours, because the tumor measures six centimeters big.

Bbaek Ga is currently staying with his parents to get ready for the operation. He still has to undergo a few more tests before the operation date. The rapper and accomplished photographer was having trouble with his vision and bad headaches and passing out frequently. He was serving military duty when he was admitted to the hospital for a checkup where he was diagnosed with brain tumor.

We all pray for his successful operation and hoping for his fast recovery.

[News]Koyote member diagnosed with Brain Tumor

Bbaek Ga (real name Baek Sung-hyun), a member of hip-hop group Koyote, has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.

The 28-year-old rapper who has been performing alternative military service at a Seoul court since mid-October will apply for a medical discharge and undergo an operation, with a comprehensive medical checkup scheduled for Friday, his aides said Thursday. He started the alternative military service in mid-October.

"We are going to submit documents necessary for a medical discharge to the National Defense Ministry. He will soon be hospitalized after medical checkups on Dec. 11," an aide said.

Bbaek Ga was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor the size of an adult's fist.

He posted a letter Wednesday on his mini-homepage to his fans and colleagues. "I've decided to muster strength as there are beloved people around me. I'm really thankful to those people."

His fans are visiting his mini-homepage to leave comments and messages to cheer him up and wish him an early recovery.

Bbaek Ga is also an avid fan of photography and has recently released a photo essay of his life: ``Talking to You.'' In the book, he said he was a loner as a boy, Baek dreamed of becoming a photographer. He was accepted at three universities to study photography but had to give up his dream because of poverty.

Making its debut in 1999, Koyote is a popular hip-hop group consisting of members Kim Jong Min, Shin Ji and Bbaek Ga.
