Daegu & Cheongju Protest
A total of 90 members gathered in the 228 park. After counting how many people came, we split into groups and headed to Dongsungro.
A lot of passerbys took pictures, encouraged us, and just looked. Our staff walked all over Dongsungro and handed out 600 fliers. Those that couldn't join us later came with snacks and passed them out to those watching us. The response was great. There might have been people that didn't like what we were doing but there were also a lot of people that encouraged us.
For 2 hours, we sat there in our silent protest while our staff walked around with the fliers. We also picked up the garbage around the area.
In the middle, a employees from a store came out and said they'd do an event for us by dancing. For about 2-3 minutes, they danced in front of us and gave a great marketing effect. Because everyone followed directions well, there weren't any complications.
After the 2 hours, we split up into groups and spent an hour cleaning up the area. We also didn't forget to hold up our placard while cleaning.
A lot of adults gave words of wisdom and encouragement to us.
It was a hard day but also quite meaningful because so many passerbys reacted with us.
