[News] Overenthusiastic fans attack the Brown Eyed Girls with pinches and hair tugs

What do you get when you put four gorgeous Korean beauties together in a girl group? A mob-attack wherever they go. And if that isn’t bad enough, expect showers of pinches and hair-tugs to follow.

Narsha, the vocalist of the popular Korean girl group Brown Eyed Girls, shared on the group’s various experiences with fans.

“When we travel to the suburbs for performances, the local people do not get to see celebrities as often as those who live in the larger cities so they will give us a really big welcome and sometimes they will pull our clothes, our hair, and pinch us to leave their traces on us.”

Despite that, the girls unanimously believe that “all fans are special” and are not bothered by such ‘endearing’ actions, “We believe it’s out of their love and it is okay with us!”

After their 2006 music debut, the Brown Eyed Girls caught the attention of the masses and rocketed up the music charts when they made their comeback with their new sexy image in their latest music album, Sound-G.

Comprised of four very talented girls JeA (leader and vocalist), Ga-in (vocalist), Miryo (rapper), and Narsha (vocalist), the girls shared that some people were initially shocked with their new sensual makeovers.

“For this album, we wanted to show some level of maturity in us. This concept was highly influenced by our title which sort of influenced our theme. Some people are shocked by it but we’re glad that people loved it. We’re thankful for it."

Their first time in Singapore, the bubbly quartet promised to bring the same level of energy and hype to their performance at the festival, “We got to know so many fans in Singapore and we will bring on what we usually do in Korea. We even brought the same costumes used!”

Currently starring in an ongoing Korean variety programme known as We Got Married (a variety show where two celebrities will ‘marry’ each other and share with audiences the intricacies of their married life together), the group’s maknae (youngest in age), Ga-in, shed a little light on her onscreen beau, Jokwon from 2AM.

“He tends to nag and bully me from time to time. He is quite attractive and we click together with my sassy character,” the pint-sized singer giggled.

With Ga-in blissfully basking in the river of love, we asked her fellow members to take a pick and choose their ideal celebrity partner if they were featured in the same show.

JeA shocked everyone with her choice of a minor when she chose Taemin from the Korean boy band, SHINee.

Beaming from ear to ear, she shared her vision of her future ‘married’ life with him and said, “I would pack his lunch and protect him. But I think even though he’s young, he’s like an old man inside. So if he’s my husband, it will definitely be very fun!”
