[Picture] Soo Young took a photo with ex SM trainee Stella!

For those who do not really know who Stella is,she was supposed to be a member of SNSD back then,but due to some undisclosed reasons,she was not debuted.

[News] Prayer Ceremony For Personal Taste

The production of MBC’s Personal Taste held its prayer ceremony this week, as you can see from these photos featuring the cast, namely Sohn Ye-jin, Lee Min-woo, Kim Ji-suk, and Wang Ji-hye.

There have been a few comments in past threads so for the sake of clarification, the prayer ceremony isn’t a religious exercise, despite its name. It’s a common practice on film and drama sets and is often held in before filming begins or a drama premieres, to wish for good fortune and a safe production experience.

The occasion was held in the Yangju Cultural Village, which houses one of the drama’s principal filming locations, the traditional Korean-style house where Sohn Ye-jin’s character lives, into which Lee Min-ho moves as her roommate. The home was built by the drama production specifically for the drama, and it figures significantly in the plot. In addition to the cast, also present were the drama’s director, MBC drama department’s vice president, the CEO of Yigim Productions, the crew, and the writer of the original novel. (Writer Lee Sae-in, by the way, is also penning the drama scripts. I’m considering this a positive thing, because I’m hoping she’ll be confident knowing when to be faithful to the original story, but more importantly, when it’s safe to diverge.)

The drama is riding pretty decent pre-show buzz, but it does have a significant hurdle to overcome: The article notes that not since 2008 has an MBC Wednesday-Thursday drama been able to draw double-digit ratings. (That’s mostly true. The one exception is Return of Iljimae in early 2009, which started off in the teens but ended in the single digits. Then came Cinderella Man, which was riddled with writing flaws; Triple, whose sluggish pace lost viewer interest; Hon, which managed a few episodes in the 10%-11% range but mostly averaged around 9%; Heading to the Ground, which was a mess all the way through; Hero, which was a mania draw but had very low numbers and couldn’t keep up with IRIS; and the most recent series, The Woman Who Still Wants To Marry, which was no match for Chuno’s blockbuster numbers.)

Personal Taste will have to prove itself against some tough competition: It premieres March 31 against KBS’s Cinderella’s Sister and SBS’s Prosecutor Princess.

[News] Lee Soo Man Tops Entertainment Rich List!

Many must know the founder of SM entertainment LeeSooMan who recently resigned, he is the man who brought you idol groups such as Super Junior, SNSD, DBSK, Shinee, etc…

SM has previously got into a tangle and a twist regarding the issues with slave contracts or unfair contracts with 3 member of the boy group DBSK filing against the company, and chinese member Hangeng from the group Super Junior filing for a contract termination!

Asides from those facts, it has been revealed on Chaebul.com that 10 celebrities in the entertainment business had stock valued at W100 million or more as of Thursday last week. LeeSooMan who holds 28.25 percent in SM Entertainment, had the highest valued stocks at W26.2 billion.

Other rankings were entrepreneur Bae Yong-joon, the largest shareholder in Kosdaq-listed KeyEast with 34.6 percent worth W10.93 billion. He was at the top of the list until mid-2009.

Yang Soo-kyung from Yedang Entertainment Company, was in third with shares in Yedang valued at W3.06 billion. K-pop superstar Rain, the largest shareholder in J.Tune Entertainment, ranked fourth with W2.01 billion.

[News] Daniel Henney Goes To Outback!

After CBS canceling my fave American show, “Three Rivers”, I’ve wondered if Daniel Henney would go back to Korean TV industry. Looks like the Korean-American model/actor Daniel Henney will make his first appearance on O’live, cable TV reality show starting next
month!

Daniel Henney will make his first appearance on a reality show, “Daniel Henney Goes to Outback”, next month on April 2, airing on local cable network O’live.

The model-turn-actor attended the press conference for the show, and he said that reality show will be different than appearing in dramas. Being in a reality show feels harder because it doesn’t have a fixed ’script’ as to what he needs to say, unlike acting in a drama. “But still, it was interesting work experience.”

“Daniel Henney Goes to Outback” is an adventure reality show about Daniel Henney and Park Seong Woo’s journey in western Australia. Park Seong Woo is the winner of the latest cooking contest dubbed “It Chef”, which was hosted by the global restaurant chain, Outback Steakhouse. Both have traveled there to reinvent the restaurant’s New Year’s limited menu. The production crew plan to return to Australia to prepare for the show’s next season.

[NEWS] Park Shin Hye Joins "Cyrano Agency"

Korean actress Park Shin-hye has joined the cast of new romantic comedy "Cyrano Agency," according to her agency Ava Entertainment on Thursday.

The movie took its motif from French picture "Cyrano de Bergerac" helmed by Jean-Paul Rappeneau and starring French actor Gerard Depardieu.

Park will star in the Korean pic alongside opposite Uhm Tae-woong as matchmakers who work at the same agency.

The film will be helmed by director Kim Hyun-suk who is well-known for directing movies "Scout" and "When Romance Meets Destiny." He was also one of the screen writers for "Joint Security Area."

Park made her debut in 1994 and has starred in numerous dramas and movies including "Stairway to Heaven," "Goong S," and "Minamishineyo." She is also a familiar face in television commercials and music videos.

"Cyrano Agency" is set to begin filming on April 19 and is scheduled for release in September over the Chuseok thanksgiving holidays.

T-ara and Yoon Si Yoon has recently teamed up for the promotion of KTF's latest product Bubi Bubi.

Recently announcing that they will have a mini-drama series for this product, they held a press conference at Sangam-dong. During the press conference the journalists asked a couple of interesting questions, among them, a reporter asked if T-ara is a group that is competitive with one another.

Soyeon explains, "Usually girls in groups get really catty, but we in T-ara are really like sisters. Rather than competing for attention, we're more concerned for one another and we look out after another. We constantly remind each other of everything. We are that comfortable with each other that we help each other out."


Eunjung adds, "We watch each other's diets aswell. We remind each other to eat healthy food and avoid junk food. We constantly remind Boram about this as she likes to eat anything. In dancing we try to do our best everytime. After performances we always treat ourselves and eat out. "


Boram and Hyomin we're not able to attend the press conference. Hyomin was out for the recording of her hit reality show "Invincible Youth". Boram was also out because of a scheduled recording."

[NEWS] KARA's Seung Yeon feels so sorry after the Music Core incident!

Still remember the incident where KARA's Seung Yeon fell during the performance of "Lupin" on Music Core a few weeks ago?

Well,she talked about the embarrassing when the girls appeared on a talk show Taxi Corner.She said that that was the biggest mistake she has ever made and she felt so ashamed of herself for making that mistake.She cried after the performance thinking that she has ruined the whole performance after all the members putting in so much efforts for it.

Member Hara then added,"that's ok,KARA's name appeared on the top search list thanks to Seung Yeon"!This episode will be aired on 25th March!

[News] Girls' Generation and 2AM tops Gaon music charts

K-pop idols Girls' Generation have claimed the No. 1 spot on Gaon's singles chart for the third week of March with their latest single "Run Devil Run."

According to the chart, the girls pushed two-week winner T-ara off the top with their song from their new repackaged album. They returned with a dark and edgy look to promote the new track.

2AM's most recent song "I Did Wrong" entered the singles chart at second place and K.Will's "Present" featuring Eun Ji-won made a phenomenal jump from the 32nd to third place.

Meanwhile, "I Did Wrong," the newly released repackaged album by 2AM, successfully bowed in on top of the albums chart to win the title of the best-selling record from March 14 to 21.

Rounding off the top three were boy band Beast's second mini-album "Shock of the New Era" and rapping duo Supreme Team's first record "Supremier.”

The Gaon music chart, considered the Korean equivalent of the U.S. Billboard chart, was launched last month. Its data has been accumulated from online and offline sales statistics from the country's major web-based providers and record distribution companies.

[News] Girls' Generation's "Run Devil Run" conquers music charts

Female idol group Girls' Generation has taken the K-pop scene by storm once again, conquering all online and offline music charts with their new song "Run Devil Run" released earlier this week.

The album containing "Run Devil Run," also the name of their second repackaged album, has been the top selling record on charts by music retailers Hanteo, Hot Track and Synnara since going on sale Monday.

The girls' single has taken over online charts as well, topping the lists of online music providers Melon, Dosirak, Bugs, Soribada and Monkey 3 since the day of its release.

Girls' Generation made a splash in the music industry in 2007 and has since released numerous singles including "Into the New World," "Girls' Generation," "Kissing You," "Baby Baby," "Gee," "Tell Me Your Wish" and "Oh!."

They will continue to promote "Run Devil Run" on televised music programs KBS' "Music Bank," "Music Central," and SBS' "Inkigayo" over the weekend.
