SNSD won their second win at Music Bank! With their hit song Oh! With exploding sales, no doubt snsd will bag in this week’s mutizen. Despite having sunny a little bit under the weather because of her illness due to fatigue, she still carried out her schedule and snsd with 9 members were still present on the show.
2pm performed for the first time “Gimme the light” from their first full album. 2pm also performed a special stage with 2am making a oneday performance singing hit song by their sunbae’s G.O.D. “The place where you should be”. 2am also did a special stage as they sung their ballad version of again and again by 2pm.
2pm, MBLAQ, 2am, FT island, Gain, ZE:A, Jewelry, SHINee, SNSD, T-ara, Super Junior, Wonder Girls and other idol stars dressed with their best hanboks and gave their wishes of gratitude and thanks for todays Lunar new year!

Idol groups went head to head at MBC’s star dance battle which was aired instead of the regular music show due to celebration of the lunar New Year (and to give the idols some time to rest). Super junior went against 2pm at a dance battle in which super junior undoubtedly won; SNSD and after school also went against each other as they danced to their own style, after school won with their fierce hip hop dance. Beast, mblaq, t-ara and comedians were also present during the show bringing much laughter and entertainment to the show.
Big Bang’s sold out concert in Japan the “electric love tour” kicked off today, which is going to last for 3 days. 2ne1 also guest appeared and performed for the first time to the Japanese audience. The concert was jam packed with fans, Japanese celebrities and guest stars like Ayoma Thelma. All the venues for their concert including additional seats were all sold out marking the popularity of big bang in Japan.
Tablo from epik high revealed for the first time his upcoming boy group called “INFINITE”. He uploaded a picture with him and the boys consisting of 7 members in his studio although only 5 members were present in the photo, tablo said he will reveal the rest of the members later. Epik high being one of the most successful artists of kpop being unique with their hip hop style, their boy group is much anticipated as fans are expecting something fresh and new from them.

Gain revealed on an interview that if there was someone’s album she would buy it would be big bangs because of the uniqueness of the group that separates it from the rest of the idol groups in kpop. Looks like someone is a hidden VIP at heart;
It was SNSD first win at Inkigayo with their hit song Oh! From their second full album, bagging all the mutizens this week, SNSD is showing no sighs of slowing down and continues to do album promotions despite their album already making explosive album sales.
Look’s like Gyuri from KARA has joined twitter and tweeted about their comeback the following week. With their concept photo’s released, donning an more darker less loud and cute image, she gave out details about their comeback. Although she is tweeting in Korean language which got fans disappointed (twitter is an English based site).

It was confirmed that after almost 9 months from their debut (they debuted May), they will be performing for the first time in MBC’s Music Core. YG artists have been keeping on low key with music core over they the months while 2ne1 hasn’t even performed their debut stage on music core because of their 1 or 2 shows per week rule. Although they have appeared for the first time in MBC’s show “Danbi”, it wasn’t enough yet for the fans. On the 200th episode of music core, 2ne1 will be performing fire their hit debut digital single for the first time in the show.
Jo Kwon finally spoke about the “gay issues” that has been spreading out like wildfire with his dubbed “gay lover” SooHyun of U-Kiss. It was revealed before through pictures and such the close relationship the two shared which got people talking which eventually became a gay scandal. Jo Kwon clarified the whole situation saying that he is not gay that he is straight making their virtual marriage with gain on we got married as proof of his manliness.
Donghae said on his cyworld account to support 2am and their mini album! While he greeted his fans happy New Year he also asked for the fans to give lots of love and support to 2am because for him their comeback album and title song are a big hit. Its nice to see artist’s from different companies to be supporting each other right?

Kara released their 3rd Mini album marking the beginning of their comeback. Just right after their successful showcase in Japan, they are now in full swing with their comeback. Just after they gave out teasers with new concept photo’s, they have achieved the interest of kpop fans with their showcase of their new and mature side ditching the cute side which they have donned since their debut. They will be making their comeback on music core making it the first of their comeback for their 3rd album promotions.
It was revealed that the new and latest virtual married couple on we got married are Jung Yong Hwa of CN Blue and Seo Hyun of SNSD. The couple started filming for their first episode last February 12 but looks like the first reactions of netizens are nothing from excitement but pure shock. There were a lot of disagreements from fans saying that Seohyun just graduated high school and in shows she has stated her ground when it comes to guys that she would prefer sweet potatoes than guys. There’s still time to love this couple though.
2am remains being the number one on Mnet musical chart, clearing away strong competitions such as SNSD and 2ne1. Its been already 1 month since 2am made their comeback after a year of being on hiatus. Their comeback song “Even if I die I cant let you go” stole the hearts of fans, making a hit song out of a ballad title song which is hard to achieve these days.
2pm’s Nickhun, Junho and Chansung; 2am’s Jokwon and jinwoon; CN Blue’s Min Hyuk and MBLAQ’s leejoon and GO have been selected as the newest MC’s for the comeback of Mnet’s M! countdown. The 8 members will have a rotation of MC schedules with only 3 or 4 from the group will MC every Thursday. M! countdown which has been MIA for unknown reasons is back with a new system and better stages this time. The MC’s announcement have been a successful noise advertisement for the comeback of M! Countdown. oh and a first~ CN Blue was able to perform with live instruments for the first time on a music show!

Idol Stars such as MBLAQ, Yoon Eun Hye, Park Hyan Bul, Park Shin Hye, Sulli and Victoria of f(x), Go Eun Ah, and others have participated with Vogue Girl’s “Pink Wings” Pictorial campaign. This charity work is sponsored by Vogue girl in which stars will be modeling elite pink designer items that will be sold and the proceeds will be given to charity. Some of the idol’s who participated also held fan signing events which rocketed the campaign nationwide.
2am for the fourth week after their comeback will not be appearing this coming 200th episode of music core. They have already had their comeback stages at inkigayo, music bank and also Mnet(M! countdown) but they have stayed clear and silent over music core. Although no official statements were released it was being speculated that it was because of jokwon being on MBC’s we got married and also being a permanent guest at SBS’s Family outing season 2.
BoA which has been MIA in the Korean scene due to her japan album promotions is set to release her 7th album “Identity” in Korea. BoA is currently doing her concert tour in Japan and going through her album promotions. Talking about concert tours, SS501 also wrapped up their Persona Asian tour today making their last concert in Thailand which was as much success as their previous concerts on other asian countries. With their successful comeback last year, they were able to keep things balanced with their comeback and asian tour.

2pm’s “Open Happiness” CF has been finally released which garnered a lot of interest for their cute transformation from their usual beastly image. They revealed their new song with the behind the scenes which was much fun to watch, with all the members goofing around and introducing for the first time “Coke Mini” which is a smaller coke bottle for health conscious drinkers. It was much happiness for fans to see their fave idols happy and alive on the CF and also the CF photo’s.
Backstreet Boys who has recently visited Japan for their World Reunion Tour said that when they saw DBSK//TVXQ it was like seeing themselves back when they just debuted almost 10 years ago being one of the hottest boy bands in the history of pop. Although fans reacted fast and backed up DBSK, it was only a statement that Backstreet boys said that seeing DBSK being strong at their 6th year of being a group, reminded them of their boy band days since they are similar in scenario. Fans also believe that DBSK will be like Backstreet boys when it comes to being together all these years.
SNSD made a surprising appearance at Japan’s Oricon album chart. SNSD without promotions in japan, ranked 54 on the second of February making a testament on SNSD’s popularity throughout asia. Although there are no plans as of the moment for SNSD to be expanding in the Japanese market, their album sales revealed to be doing well in Japan. SM ent. Also stated that it is not only in Japan that their album are doing well but also in China and other asian countries.

Lee Hyori’s Comeback album has been announced to be delayed a bit more and will be released early March. With hyori’s album scheduled to be released this month of February, it will be delayed a little more making the fans a little agitated. Hyori said that she wanted her 4th full length album to be perfect as much as possible and because of this she has been taking the preparations to the extreme, and totally in charge of everything on her album, being a perfectionist as herself, her album preparations has been increased to the highest level possible.
Big Bang finally released the audio and CF version of “Lollipop part 2” for their endorsement with LG’s Lollipop phones. After almost a year after the release of “Lollipop” with 2ne1, they released the part two of the song with only big bang in it. The single has already topped charts making it already a hit! With its addictive melody and unique application of vocals to the song, the 2nd part of “Lollipop” will undoubtedly be a major hit like “lollipop” did.
It was announced that 2am will be releasing a repacked album this coming March. JYP expressed before that he was disappointed that the songs he composed were not included in the comeback album of 2am, so looks like his songs are going to be included in the repacked album that will be released as soon as March. Looks like JYP’s composed songs wont be pushed back to the sides anymore as they will be on the works as additional songs from the original 6 songs from 2am’s comeback album.
Plus, Rain announced that he will be releasing a special edition album this coming april! Originally he wanted to make a full comeback this april to commemorate his debut month before~ After 1 year and 6 months of hiatus from the music industry since Rainism. Rain is coming back this time without JYP but with J tunes. Rain will also comeback with a full album sometime October or on the later half of the year.
SNSD won for the third time in a row at Music Bank, despite SeoHyun making a slight mistake of tripping after her solo part, the show went on and they ended the show receiving another mutizen to their already large collection of awards! Congratulations!
