Boy band 2PM's latest single "Heartbeat" remained the most popular song last week, taking the top award on televised music shows over the weekend.
The formerly seven-member band, minus leader Jae-beom who quit the group in early December over controversial comments he made about Korea on his MySpace account before his debut, won the No. 1 title on KBS music show "Music Bank" on Friday and SBS program "Inkigayo" on Sunday.
The group was up against other popular K-pop bands including Brown Eyed Girls, After School, Taeyang and U-Kiss.
"I love you Jae-beom," member Junsu said in his acceptance speech while Junho also expressed his gratitude to the former singer who is currently back in his hometown in the United States.
"Heartbeat', the title song from their first album, was written by their producer Park Jin-young, also founder and CEO of their agency JYP Entertainment.
