Yay! With so many twenty something actors heading off for military service, it’s always nice to see others finishing up and heading back. I’m especially excited to see Chun Jung-myung returning to civilian status this month, and fans are starting to prepare their welcome when he is discharged on November 27.
Chun enlisted on January 2, 2008, and has served in active duty for the past 22 months. A source from his fan club explained their plans to meet the star upon his release, with some fans even planning on flying in from overseas. They are preparing gifts, banners, and signs for the occasion, which coincides with Chun’s birthday, as the star turns 30 two days after his discharge.
I fell in love with Chun Jung-myung’s acting in dramas like What’s Up Fox and Goodbye Solo. (Other titles on his resume: Fashion ’70s, Hansel and Gretel, The Aggressives.) He can act with intensity and maturity in a way that belies his baby face, but also has a lovable playful side. Can’t wait to see what he does next.
