Without Jaebum, 2PM is 2% short of completion.
"It's a title we made in honor of waiting for Jaebum hyung."
2PM's first album "1:59 PM" means incomplete. On the 25th, after having performed at Shanghai's K-Pop Night concert, we were able to meet the members back in their waiting rooms. As we asked them the meaning of their title, they explained "We're waiting for Jaebum hyung, but since he's not here, it means that we cannot be a complete 2PM."
When we went on to ask "So does that mean that you guys are incomplete with Jaebum's absence?" They agreed, "You are right."
"We were discussing it with producer Park Jinyoung and he mentioned the concept of 1:59 PM. We all agreed that it'd be a good title to wait for Jaebum hyung with." Their title track Heartbeat had reached #1 on various music charts, probably due to Jaebum's absence.
"Heartbeat is an experimental dance that other idol groups have never performed yet. It's a performance that doesn't rely completely on acrobatics."
But as hard as the dance is, their bodies are also wearing out.
Wooyoung stated "Our bodies are pretty much an orthopedic department. We've tried various different moves and have gotten injured. The ending of Heartbeat was decided to be done on rotation. Our backs, wrists, and ankles, there is not one area that doesn't hurt."
