[NEWS] "In the New Year, we want to meet fans all over the world"!

SNSD expressed at their feelings and hopes at the very beginning of the New Year.

On the 31st, at MBC's Dream Center in Ilsan, SNSD expressed their New Year wishes.

Yoona opened by saying "We received lots of love in 2009, but I regret that we weren't able to satisfy our fans fully". Jessica continued by saying "We will try just as hard next year and hope that we get even more love from our fans."

Yuri followed by saying "Next year, we want to visit fans all over the world, and not just our fans in Korea". Tiffany than said "I hope the 9 of us continue to improve our tight teamwork and show many amazing performances to our fans".

Finally, Sooyoung said "We are thankful for all the love we got this year, and we will 'run' more in the future". (Note 'run' as in try harder)

[News]Lee Hongki Revealed His First Love

FT Island’s Lee Hongki revealed that his first love was during his high school days, while he had his first kiss when he was still a middle schooler.

Lee Hongki participated in the recording of KBS 2TV “Star Golden Bell” recently and he won the poll “Person of the opposite sex that you will be attracted to the fastest“.

Lee Hongki attracted the attention of other female celebrities during the recording. Brown Eyed Girl member, Narsha, picked Lee Hongki and said that, “I don’t have feelings for someone at his young age but somehow, there’s a feel when I look into his eyes.”

Following this, the MC Ji Seokjin asked, “When did Lee Hongki have his first love?” and he answered, “During the first year of my high school.”

“My first kiss was actually in middle school. However, it was only during my high school days when I found my first love,” Lee Hongki revealed while smiling away.

Singer Jang Hye-Jin hinted on the recent broadcast of ‘Kim Jung-eun’s Chocolate’ that she wanted to sing with the male group 2PM.

[News]Big bang Received Attack From Jealous Japanese Netizens

Korean idol group Big Bang, after winning Best Newcomer at Japan’s annual Record Awards, has received harsh backlash from Japanese netizens. The netizens are protesting that Big Bang’s record sales fall far behind other newcomers, and are asserting that there is a problem with the judging panel.

On the 31st, popular Japanese new blogs such as “Wild Yaeneung Show” and communities such as “2CH” were flooded with attacks against Big Bang.

The day before, at 6pm on the 51st Japanese Record Awards broadcast by TBS, Big Bang won the Best New Artist award.

The Japanese Record Awards are given out annually by the Japanese Composers Association. The Best Newcomer award is given to one group of out those nominated. Big Bang beat out Hilchryme, Maya Sakura, SCANDAL, among others to win the Best Newcomer award.

On the 20st, Big Bang appeared on TBS’s Japan Cable Broadcasting Awards (Nihon Yusen Taisho) and won the Best Newcomer award. There, Big Bang went to the final nominations with Maya Sakura and Hilchryme. However, when Big Bang surpassed the Japanese groups and won the award, the Japanese netizens didn’t hide their discomfort.

They used the 2009 record sales to attack Big Bang. Hill Crime sold 108,000 copies, easily overwhelming the 41,000 copies sold by Big Bang, so why did Big Bang win the award?

The netizens were quoted saying, “Some Korean boygroup I’ve never heard of or seen won the Best Newcomer award through shady judging” and “Record sales are an important criteria so what exactly is the criteria they used?”

Big Bang debuted in the Japanese music stage last June with “My Heaven.” The reason for the low record sales is because the single was released later in the year.

[DKP Survey] Wonder Girls VS f(x),who did it better for "Kissing You"?

Already 2 years since i first listened to k pop songs,i won't be listening to k pop songs if there is no Wonder Girls,started to listen to their "Tell Me" and started to get addicted to k pop,so i really missed the girls and i hope that they will make their comeback in 2010!

On today's Music Bank,rookie group f(x) performed SNSD's "Kissing You",the performance reminded me of Wonder Girls as they also performed "Kissing You' back in 2008 on Music Bank.

I can see so many similarities between Wonder Girls and f(x),firstly the number of members in each group,both have 5 members.Each group has a cute member and they are So Hee and Sulli respectively.They have good rappers (Yoo Bin & Amber) and in my opinion their rapping style is quite similar.Maybe there are even more similarities among the members.

So i decided to put up a poll here to compare Wonder Girls and f(x),who had a better performance for "Kissing You"?

T-ara crowned first place on Music Bank today thanks to their hit song "Bo Peep Bo Peep"!

The girls were pretty surprised when they were announced as winner as they have never expected that they could beat the beastly 2PM!

Once the MCs announced T-ara as the winner,SNSD's members Seo Hyun and Hyeo Yeon immediately went towards So Yeon and congratulated her.There is a story behind this close bond!


There were rumours saying that SNSD was supposed to be a 11-member group.So Yeon was one of the 11 girls mentioned.

They have trained together as SM trainees a few years ago,that's the reason why there is a strong bond between So Yeon and SNSD!

I'm sure by now, all of you have heard and seen many of IU's covers of other singers songs. Recently, she did an acoustic medley of songs including IRIS Ost- Don't forget which was sung by Baek Ji Young and her own song, Marshmallow, etc. Honestly, her vocals are really unique. Its somewhat gentle, soft but at the same time powerful~ I really melted
when she sang Don't forget. I can't say she did better than Baek Ji Young because Baek Ji Young is more experienced than her but she really sang it so well i almost want to say she did better than Baek Ji young!

The video also shows her fan meeting with her fans! This time round, her fan meeting has fangirls too! I am really becoming her fan and i hope she will shine in the year 2010!
