[News] “We Love DBSK/THSK/TVXQ Forever” Japanese Fans Plan To Release Ad In Korean Newspaper

TVXQ’s Japanese fans are planning to release an ad in a Korean daily newspaper and are drawing attention for it.

Japanese fans created a group called ‘Five Balloons’ and began collecting donations for a newspaper ad called ‘TVXQ Smile Project’.

449 people participated from the 16th till the 23rd and they donated 1,764,000 Yen (around 22,800,000 Won).

‘Five Balloons’, which planned to collect 5 million Yen by the 25th, stated that if they do not reach their goal by that time, they will extend their donation collection period. Five Balloons will then take this money and release a support ad in a Korean daily newspaper around mid-January.

This support ad will include the project’s slogan ‘TVXQ Smile Project’ as well as words along the lines of, “TVXQ is made up of these five people: Junsu, Yuchun, Jejung, Changmin and Yunho. We will love and support TVXQ forever. We will forever wait with love and gratitude until the day we can see you smiling sincerely.”

[news] Wonder Girls are Protostars Of 2010

Even though the traditional recording industry continued to struggle against its inevitable demise like a giant ground sloth mired in the La Brea Tar Pits, 2009 was a pretty good year for music in general.

The first buzzword of ’09 has to be fusion. New combinations of R&B, hip-hop, rock, dance, Latin and country continued to emerge with help from acts like Kid Cudi, Asher Roth, 3OH!3, Pitbull, LMFAO, Wale, Infected Mushroom, Lady Gaga and even Lo Cash Cowboys. And it looks like the trend will accelerate in the coming year.

Coming in at No. 2 is style. The days of bands showing up wearing whatever was clean (or not) seem to be coming to an end. Whether it’s the preppy chic of bands like Vampire Weekend, the semi-glam looks sported by The Killers and Fall Out Boy or the all-out glam favored by Adam Lambert, the wigged-out esthetic of LMFAO or the high style glamour of Beyoncé and Rihanna, artists have started dressing for success again.

So who’s going to be the Lady Gaga of 2010? Good question. If I could answer that for certain, I’d be a very wealthy man. Since I can’t, here a few of the people I believe we’re going to be hearing a lot about next year.

Wonder Girls – It sounds like a crazy idea – five female South Korean singers who sing R&B ala The Supremes, En Vogue and Destiny’s Child while performing classic Motown choreography. But this girl group created by South Korean music mogul Park Jin-Young has already scored three monster hits abroad. (Plus they’re absolutely adorable.) Now their sights are set on the U.S.

I’ll admit there are hundreds of other acts out there that are probably worthy of attention in the coming year. And you can bet that as soon as I unearth them, you’ll be reading all about them right here on Pollstar.com.

[news] KARA Nicole and SNSD Tiffany to guest on SBS Family Outing!

Girlgroup members KARA Nicole and So Nyeo Shi Dae Tiffany will make guest appearances for SBS Family Outing.

According to the staff on 24th December, the 2 had taken part in the filming for the show on 21st and 22nd December in GyeongGiDo PoCheon. And to support their guest appearance, other girlgroup members have also made surprise appearance during the filming.

KARA, So Nyeo Shi Dae, Brown Eyed Girls and T-ara members have appeared to show support to Nicole and Tiffany. With the appearance of the girlgroup members, it was obvious that the senior Family members Kim SooRo, Yoon JongShin and Yoo JaeSeok could not hide their excitement.

Meanwhile, 2NE1 Sandara Park and After School UEE also made their appearance on the show in early-October and their fresh faces revealed when they wake up in the morning became the topic amongst netizens after the show was aired. Everyone, did you watch "Waratte iitomo!! Tokudaigou"!?! (T/N: on-aired on December 23)

Our Tohoshinki was the last artist to perform TTTT

…to give you the correct information, it was Junsu Sekine who appeared at the end (Lol)

But I think this is great news!

The (imposer) Junsu appeared at the famous special program,
on the very last, and danced "Summer Dreams".
And he made the audience lively with his "Oyaji-gags"!

I watch "Iitomo Tokudaigou" every year,
And Sekine-san is always the last to perform.

Every year his mimicry is …
So I was not watching with care.

Before Sekine-san performed, Tohoshinki was introduced!!!! (With panels!)

Wow~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!!

And, Junsu Sekine appeared with 4 dolls, which doesn’t look like Tohoshinki in any way.

I may have felt Sekine-san’s kindness in selecting Tohoshinki for the mimicry.

Judging from a equal point of view,
the audience was really livelier!!
Tamori-san (T/N: the famous MC for "Waratte iitomo") was laughing his head off during the "Ball pen" and "Aoyama".
I was so surprised, since I am very familiar with the original Junsu’s version.

Selecting Tohoshinki for the mimicry (he said himself as Zunsu!)
It may have been a challenge from the point of well-known jokes,
but Sekine went ahead and did it.

I felt Sekine-san’s yells to the fans,
And,
I was really impressed and warm hearted after looking at the program.

Around midnight one busy night (during the second season of the Hat-Knitting Campaign last winter), a young man wearing a leather jacket came to the seventh floor of Save The Children and handed us a hat.
In a husky voice he said:
"It's a hat I knitted with my coordinator."
So our worker handed him a piece of paper saying "Please leave your name and contact number."

[news] Positive Super Junior News for the Day - additional performance in SS2 Taiwan

News just broke out about Super Junior's Hangeng contract termination lawsuit making fans extremely worried. Fortunately, some exciting news came yesterday as Super Dome announced that Super Show II in Taipei has fixed 3PM Feb. 21st, 2010 for an additional performance. The tickets will start selling on Dec. 27th.

Moved by more than 3000 messages left by fans hoping for another performance, the organizers and those on the Korean side reached an agreement to add another performance. Rock Area tickets will start selling at 10AM on Dec. 27th on Super Dome's website. They will only be available for advance purchase by Dome members. Seating Area tickets will not be limited to members. Similarly, starting at 1PM on the 27th, on the eraTicket system, DuanDian (端點) and Fami Port will simultaneously start selling tickets.

As for whether Hangeng will come to next year's Taipei performance in February, Super Dome said, "Besides participating in this performance, we have already expressed to the Korean side that we hope the remaining 12 Super Junior members** can all come. We will continue to monitor the situation."

On the 21st, Hangeng requested for a contract termination through the Korean court causing Korea's idol factory, SM, to receive another blow following the TVXQ lawsuit. This has caused much heated discussion amongst media and netizens. Some felt it the managing company was wronged since, in order to train such a popular idol group, they had to enormous amount of funds in advance -- that many company investments are not seen by outsiders; Others advise that it is time for SM to face the discontent of those under the company.

Hangeng throws a bomb, requests for contract termination with SM

the shocking news of a member leaving the popular Korean group Super Junior arrives just before their Asian performance tour. According to Mainland reports, SJ's Chinese member, Hangeng, has already submitted an application to the Seoul Central District Court requesting for a termination of his contract with SM Entertainment. Due to SM's recent contract dispute with TVXQ, this matter will undoubtedly once again inflict serious damage.

SJ is affiliated with Avex Taiwan Inc. who has expressed their surprise, "We were only made aware of this from reading online. However, we have been unable to verify the authenticity of this matter. Mainland new reports are often erroneous. We have not received official information from the Korea government at this time." Organizers of SJ's concert in Taiwan in February next year, Super Dome, hasn't received news either. However, fans have already been rendered frenetic worrying about whether Hangeng would be absent from next year's concert.

In the 2001 SM Auditions, Hangeng relied on his handsome appearance and dancing talent to defeat more than 3000 competitors to receive singing, dancing, language, and other training. In 2005, he became a member of Super Junior becoming the first Chinese person to debut in Korea. In 2008, as leader, Hangeng lead SJ's subgroup Super Junior-M to invade the Chinese market.

In the recent year, SJ has exploded in popularity in China and Taiwan. Hangeng's degree of popularity is very high and has a healthy sunshine image that has impacted many. Hangeng and artiste Lulu were rumored to be together, but the two have not officially confirmed it. The Mainland media speculates that if Hangeng has really asked for a contact termination, it might be that he wants to fly solo and is not in line with SM's idea.
