SS501, who returned with mini album ‘Rebirth’ after 1 year and 7 months, engaged in a verbal competition.

SS501 members attended to the recording of KBS 2TV ‘Star Golden Bell’. On the question ‘Who is the member that you’re most envious of?’, leader Kim HyunJoong was selected. Kim KyuJong was asked by MC Jeon HyunMoo on the reason of him choosing Kim HyunJoong, he had high praises for him “This person (Kim HyunJoong) is born to be a sculpture (meaning, perfect features, very handsome). I am really envious of him as an entertainer.”

SS501 Kim HyunJoong has been chosen number 1 as the singer whom Korean netizens want to give a winter scarf.

Music website Bugs held a poll ‘Who is the singer whom I want to give a gift of winter scarf to?’ and Kim HyunJoong gained the 1st place with 36% of the votes.

Kim HyunJoong has returned to his fans as a member of SS501, after recovering from H1N1. Kim HyunJoong is not only a singer, but also excels as an entertainer, taking a role with Hwangbo in MBC ‘We got married’. In addition, he acted the role of Yoon JiHoo in perfection in the popular drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’, gaining recognition for his acting.

[News] SHINee Onew is recovering well, plans for another swine flu test on 13th Nov.

SHINee member Onew has been resting since it has been confirmed that he is down with swine flu on 7th November. It is said that his health conditions have improved a lot and it will be no sooner that fans get to see him perform on stage again.

Onew had developed flu symptoms on 6th November and had visited the hospital where he took a test for swine flu. The test results released on the 7th had confirmed him of swine flu.

And according to SM Ent on 13th November, “His health condition has improved a lot. He will be taking another swine flu test today. Even so, he will not be performing with the other 4 members on stage today on KBS Music Bank.”

Onew is the 2nd member from the team after JongHyun to be down with swine flu. And their seniors Super Junior YeSung and Lee Teuk have stood in for Onew and JongHyun on various music shows previously.

[NEWS] JYPE: No new leader decided for 2PM.

As 2PM begins their official activities for 'Heartbeat' from their '1:59 PM' album, many have been wondering as to who will be the next leader.

2PM's agency JYP stated "There will be no new leader for 2PM. They have all trained together for so long that they all know their roles and parts. The members themselves don't feel the need for a new leader so we have not given thought to a new leader. The members will be pulling themselves together in cases where they need that leading. Basically, everyone is the leader."

[News] SHINee: I have never once thought of SNSD and f(x) as 'girls'

Key of 5 member group SHINee reveals, "I have never once thought of SNSD and f(x) as 'girls'.

During SBS Live FM DGDR on the 11th November, Key revealed his thoughts when the DJs asked if dating was not allowed in SM Entertainment.

Girl group 2NE1 had previously revealed that they could not date for a 5 year period. With this mentioned, SHINee could not hide their surprise and said, “We do not have such a rule.”

Key said that “Even if it is like this, I have not thought of SNSD and f(x) members as ‘girls’”, indicating that there is no chance of couples. He continued to explain that for SNSD and f(x), they have known each other for a very long time and while training together, their relationship have become like family, or like friends.

The SHINee members also talked about how they feel awkward when they called “Sunbaenim” by new idol groups. Key said that new groups would come to them and say “Sunbaenim, please look after us well” and they would respond in kind rather sheepishly.

Also, SHINee’s magnae Taemin said “ f(x)'s Krystal and Sulli are just one year younger than me, and when I see them on broadcasts, I find it really intriguing” as he has only debuted over a year but now he already has juniors/hoobaes.

Havent we all been waiting for this?? Ever since TaeYang released "where you at" ive been counting the days and marking "x"'s on my calendar till november 13th and now its the Lucky friday the 13th as YG released Taeyang's "wedding dress" full audio and music video!

I cant help but melt with happiness while watching the music video and listening to the song. Its certainly worth the wait. Its been a year and a half since Taeyang's solo debut, now he's back better than ever! Now the next is the release of his full album in which im also excited about. With tracks like "where you at" and "wedding dress" the other songs in the album is going to be as good as the title songs! But looks like the full album will still be released early next year?????

So, after waiting almost a month for the title track, we have to wait for 2 months till the release? Good things come to those who wait. :)

[news] SM’s official stand, “Dong Bang Shin Ki’s comeback next year – impossible”

SM Entertainment revealed their stand for their discord with trio Hero JaeJoong, Xiah JunSu and Micky YooChun of group Dong Bang Shin Ki through reports on 13th november.
SM Entertainment said, “We gave the deadline for the 3 members to give us a reply about Dong Bang Shin Ki’s comeback in Korea next year by 12th November previously during our press conference on 2nd November. But we did not get any response. This has hence make the group’s comeback in Korea next year impossible.”

SM Entertainment also added, “The trio has agreed to carry out the schedule planned on basis of the basic contract between the company and the group before the court during the time when the trial was on going. But after part of the trial judgement came out, the trio said they will not participate or the coming concert performance on 21st November in Chin which is part of their Asian concert tour performances decided as of June 2008, and for subsequent concert performance, they have stated that they may not be participating for them.”

“We will decline the idea for the 3 to promote as Dong Bang Shin Ki. This will have adverse effects on our company’s artistes as well as concert performances scheduled in China.”

[news] SHU-I returns with “Save Me”

The rookie male idol group, SHU-I (So Hot Union of Idols) are ready to continue their activities with a brand new song, Save Me. After dropping the love BOMBS to the fangirls' hearts, they are now asking to be saved? Corny joke aside, let's dig in a little deeper on what they are now up to.

These newborn baby idols had debuted with their first song, BOMB BOMB BOMB on September 18th, and was successful enough to gain the title of the November Power Rookie given by the Korean Creative Content Agency. The quintets have have gone through a 180 degrees transformation for their comeback- and yes, they are still hotter than ever. Their new song is already being highly anticipated with their catchy tune and attracting lyrics written by a well-known songwriter, Kim Hyung Kyu.



SHU-I expressed,
"Through our follow-up song, Save Me, we would like to present a new unique style to the fans, SHU-I style. Our goal is to become a long-living idol group accepted by the audience for our talent. We hope this song can really capture the fans' love."

[news] 2PM will not be cast in any variety shows

2PM recently released their full album 1:59PM along with a MV for their title-song Heartbeat. Through what seemed like an endless number of teasers, they raised the hype amongst fans, creating a domination among music portal sites with their first track, Tired of Waiting. However, we've got bad news for fans - it is looking like you won't be seeing 2PM on variety shows any time soon! These variety show masters have revealed plans to stay away from being the funny guys they are for a while.

A representative stated:
"We set a policy that 2PM will not be cast in variety shows. They will focus more on activities related to music programs."


It seems like a huge part of the reason is because of the problems related to Jaebeom that is still up in the air. This makes 2PM be in a bad situation to be cast in variety programs for the sake of fans and viewers.

Following their first comeback performance yesterday at Oh Yeah! Concert, they will have their second comeback performance on this week's Music Bank.

[news] KARA Goo Hara Reveals Treasured Present Received From SS501 Kim HyunJoong?

KARA Goo Hara has received a present from senior SS501 Kim Hyun Joong.

The present is a jumper. It was revealed on KBS ‘Invincible Youth’ to be aired on 13th November where the participating idol girl group members have to do exchange of the things which they treasure.

And when they were talking about the items they treasure, Goo Hara revealed the jumper which she has received from the filming site for drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’ from SS501 Kim Hyun Joong.

She also revealed KARA’s upcoming album, not yet released into the market, and said that she took from the company on her way out without asking her boss about it as she was in a rush.
For the episode, So Nyeo Shi Dae Sunny revealed 7 bottles of health drinks which was given personally to her by her mother, and member Yuri revealed her treasured sports shoes.

[news] SHINee will be on Music Bank with 4 members

ven with the explosive popularity of ‘Ring Ding Dong,’ SHINee will still have to perform with only 4 members on the night of November 13 as Onew still hasn’t fully recovered from Swine flu.

Last week while Jonghyun was still recovering from Swine flu, Super Junior’s Yesung substituted his spot on Music Bank. Lee Teuk, then, followed the example on Music Core in Onew’s place. However, on Music Bank this week the group will have to perform without any help.

The official representative said ‘The 4 members will take the stage on their own. Although Onew has recovered but it’s still not enough to perform on stage.’

According to the representative, Onew will be stopping by the hospital for a check up to determine whether he’s fully recovered.

Since two members have already been diagnosed with the flu, the other 3 members including Minho, Key, and Taemin have also received preventive checkup but, fortunately, all three appeared to be healthy with no symptoms.

[news] The Return of Hit-5: Another Contender for Super Junior-M's Crown?

Chinese media is reporting that mainland China’s relatively recent boy band sensation Hit-5 is set to launch a new EP (mini-album) soon, following the huge success of their performances in The Same Song Festival and the China-Korea Song Festival earlier this year. Debuting exactly a year ago from this week, the 5-member boy band is also being reported by the Chinese media as recently receiving as much online news traffic as popular Korean boy band powerhouses Super Junior-M, DBSK, among others.

Signing on with a new entertainment company, the guys of HIT-5 are currently in the works on their new material. For this outing, they will be in good company with the help of famous South Korean producer and composer Lee Shang Jen, whom has worked with SM Entertainment and helped produce works for big name artists over in Korea such as DBSK, Shinhwa, Jang Nara, Fly to the Sky, MC Mong, Sugar, and many others.

Regarding work on their new material, one of the band members remarked, “While many of us are new in creating [a new album], we have faith as a group. We may not be strong individually, but I think there’s no way anyone’s better than the five of us together.”

For those of you not familiar with Hit-5, you can check out the MV of one of their popular songs below. Their clothing style and hair styles are hitting pretty close to the fad that's been a staple to Korean boy bands such as Shinee and DBSK, but it looks like their performances and singing styles have much closer influences to Taiwanese boy bands such as Fahrenheit. With the addition of a famed Korean music producer for their upcoming material, there's a pretty decent chance they they may be giving up their Fahrenheit-inspired ways and adapt a more proven formula that's done wonders to bands such as Super Junior-M.
